  1. It probably depends on how much of the soul was stolen by the spike. Maybe?
  2. Straff, Sadeas, the Set... Sanderson apparently loves making characters that we want to strangle to death, make a Lifeless, then Command the Lifeless to walk off a chasm edge before a highstorm.
  3. On that note, it would be much harder to spot a kandra-blooded Ferring or Misting, because the metal could just constantly be inside of them.
  4. Of course not, otherwise, we couldn't have Wit. Not enough space.
  5. I did the same thing, but I eventually figured out what the deal was with Feruchemy. It helps that AoL is designed to be able to be read independent of Mistborn and still understand what the Colors is going on.
  6. You gave me a curse! You broke the wish! I win!Ahem. You constantly wish you could still play the game, but you can't. I wish for everyone who reads this to lose The Game.
  7. I suspect that it has to do with how Investiture is accessed on Roshar.
  8. But who wields the Internet?
  9. Pattern: "Terrible lies."
  10. Are the Ten Essences linked to how the Investiture on the various Shardworlds (Foil for Scadrial, etc.)
  11. I believe that it is the case, but it is not canon.
  12. About Gifting power contamination: I just reread Steelheart, and it talks about how gifting powers eventually corrupts the person.
  13. Storing lots of health in a goldmind, swallowing it, then burning aluminum. Assume TLR is doing this for some reason.
  14. I'm not entirely sure what I'd be. Um... Mistborn, Feruchemist, Tenth Heightening, Rithmatist, cured Epic, holder of all ten Honorblades, Oculator with a Smedry talent, Elantrian, Forger. Did I miss anything?
  15. Sanderson has a large number of swears and bad names for the various cultures in his books. Let's compile them! To start, I choose a less obvious one from The Emperor's Soul: KuNuKam, which roughly translates as a man with an anus for a mouth. Bring out the storming curse words!
  16. Wayne walks into a bar. The bartender says, "We don't serve your kind here." "Who?" Wayne asked. "We don't serve Metalborn." The resulting conversation resulted in the bartender becoming a monk and Wayne getting a lot of whiskey.
  17. What about a large stomach of a large elephant in a herd of elephants? Actually, it was probably a dragon.
  18. Okay. You are put under 24 hour watch by Rioters and Soothers making you happy. And you won't be able to cry when something bad happens to someone you love, no matter how much you want to. I wish for nobody to post something granting my wish or giving me a curse.
  19. Here comes the philosopher. I think that part of Wayne's ability to get into character is part of why we read books: To escape from our present reality and go to a different one where we don't have to deal with hard things. Of course, the illusion always ends, we put the book away, but face our struggles a bit better, knowing we can run from them at any time, but we don't, because we would be going against what Vin, Kelsier, and others do/did when things get rough. And that is why Wayne mimics people.
  20. You are probably on to something. I never noticed that.
  21. I think if Sanderson doesn't set things in motion for Soonie Pups soon (pun!), the Shard will.
  22. Probably the same way TLR was able to walk out of a burning building little more than a skeleton, and be completely healed a second later.
  23. Why did Wax go to the party uninvited? He's a Crasher.
  24. Depending on how you look at it, every tragedy is cause for celebration, and every holiday a cause for mourning. In the ends, it doesn't matter whether or not Kelsier was a hero, or anyone else is. We simply take the situations they give us, and try to do the best they can. I suppose that is a hero. Someone who makes the best of their situation and uses it to do great things.
  25. If you are a Star Trek fan, it's similar to the warp drive, making space around you pass faster than normal.
