  1. Yes he is, and is currently looking over my shoulder. He loves theories like Pattern with lies. What does he look like? Think of what a confusionspren might look like. He looks like that, sometimes. Others, he simply decides something he wants to look like, and then he looks like that. I don't mind.
  2. Your theory is sound, but stinks too much of the Alley for my taste. Wondering what you can steal on Nalthis still needs to be theorized on, but carefully. Note: If anyone from the Dark Alley sees this, I am in Nebrask, fighting wild chalklings.
  3. Slight change: The Radiantspren are Splinters of Honor, and so it's likely that they are manifestations of Honor's ten sub-Intents.In a way, Shardic Theory is like String Theory: There are many different theories that are all consistent with observations.
  4. Granted: I forgive you. However, as a curse, I give you an upvote. Think about it. I wish to have someone tell me exactly where to go to get my previous wish granted.
  5. I think Elhokar will be cool to watch.
  6. Could someone please get the part of WoR where Kaladin and Shallan are in that cave sheltering from the highstorm and Kaladin starts to explain what he felt when Syl began bonding him, and Shallan interrupted him with something about seeing everything around you fall apart, trying to hold it together, but still falling anyway. There is a part in a recent post that would very much benefit from that quote. Can you imagine what that would feel like, to watch everything you love start to fall, while you do whatever you can to keep it from collapsing, and then, in one moment, watching it falling anyway? Can you imagine what that would feel like, realizing that despite your best efforts, everything you loved was gone, and you could do nothing? What must that feel like, a feeling of anguish so strong and overpowering, that you wish you could explode, to scatter yourself into pieces, if only to get rid of the feeling? The Princess Bride described the feeling: "That is the sound of ultimate suffering. My heart made that sound when my father died. The man in black makes it now."
  7. I meant it as a ply on 'gets your head out of the gutter'. You are a Knight, and a mere Theoryweaver should not have to remind you of that. Now go and tell your spren sorry.
  8. Downside of being Hoid: You're hunted wherever you go, have no one who's close to you, sixteen of your friends are basically deity and don't get in touch anymore, with the exception of one who was the bad one when he hadn't taken the piece of Adonalsium that had the intent of never ending hatred. Also, with the exception of Rayse and whatever Endowment's name is, all the ones we've seen are dead or died a long time ago. Leras and Ati died. But, on the upside, you have magic powers from almost every one of your friends' homes you've visited. Wow. When put that way, it's no wonder why Hoid is never serious for more than about five or ten minutes. It's the only thing keeping him from succumbing to the loss, the loneliness, and the seeming futility of whatever he's trying to do.
  9. Or maybe Ruin was piggybacking Preservation's magic system. All Hemalurgy we know of involved taking the extra bit of Preservation all Scadrians have inside of them, corrupting and weakening it, and stapling it to your own soul. Perhaps if the gemstones used for Soulcasting were turned into spikes on Roshar, you could steal Radiant bonds.
  10. Koloss were weird when they were just made by magical acupuncture. Now they're even weirder.
  11. I might be able to recognize iron if I saw it, but the only reason I haven't memorized them is that I haven't gotten around to it.
  12. So, I know that kandra can't make bone, but can they make cartilage? For those unfamiliar with it, it's a biological material that provides rigidity while maintaining flexibility in certain parts of the body. It's in the tip of your nose and your ears, as well as a few places that I don't know right off the top of my head. I am guessing that cartilage decays fairly easily, more so than bone, so I'm guessing the kandra can make it themselves, but I'm not sure. Fun fact: Sharks have no bones, just cartilage and teeth. If kandra can make it, then they only have to eat a shark once, then can shapeshift into a shark whenever they want. Actually, they could turn into a lot of things in the ocean, but most are very small. On that note, could a kandra eat something from the inside? They would have to go fast, maybe eating the tongue first and avoiding the stomach altogether, but could they? I'm having lots of thoughts about kandra possibilities, but I will restrain myself for now.
  13. On the subject of OreSeur's death, I view kandra as very intelligent and morphable amoebas. Simply envelop the other kandra and digest.
  14. On the subject of atium alloys: In anWoB I found, someone asked if Demoux, an Atium Misting, could burn malatium. Sanderson said something to the effect of that's an interesting theory. I believe that Atium Mistings can burn all alloys of atium, and Sanderson will simply reveal this in later books.
  15. CognitivePulsePattern, welcome to the order. Pick up your conclusionspren at the door, and don't mind Bonrel. He is still learning, and takes your name to mean that you are a Cryptic. Strangly, I follow the oaths better than him. Oversleep, do you approve of the changes to the Oaths?
  16. I would wager to guess, though, that after the events in TFE, Vin is the most powerful Mistborn in the world. Not the most powerful Allomancer, necessarily, since Breeze and his Soother mind tricks put him, on one level, equal to Jedi. Vin is not as good a Soother as he his, though she does use duralumin to cheat. Even without it, though, she is very powerful, as she was making use of tiny amounts of metal effectively enough to keep a young, weak girl safe in a group of less than noble men ( yes I know they were skaa. Sometimes I accidentally make puns.)
  17. I definitely agree he intentionally put in the Easter Egg. I definitely don't agree that The God Beyond is nonimportant, though. Sanderson may love how we speculate on every little detail, and he may be slightly sadistic in killing off our favorite characters, but I don't and can't believe that he would place something like that on two Shardworlds and have no importance in it.
  18. I see no reason for this to not be true, but if it is, then the first step in making Elhokar a good person-or at least a tolerable King- is to exorcise the voidspren. Or is it the Unmade? Every Shard has a number, Preservation had 16, Ruin possibly had one, Honor has ten, it makes sense that the number of Unmade is equal to Odium's Shardic number. We know for sure there are not ten Unmade, though.
  19. What is Hammondar Bay? I am terrible with names, probably glossed right over it.
  20. Basically, in this case, aluminum does not consume investiture, unless it burns all metals in duralumin style and absorbs the investiture released. The metals are like Aons: the Aons have no actual power, they simply serve as a way to get the power from wherever it is into a usable form and where you need it.
  21. I will think of that which is not, and why it is not I will consider every claim, no matter how far-fetched I will build on the theories of others I will search the Words of Brandon, for they hold endless clues
  22. So... I'm not sure how this will work. Ask me anything, and I will respond unless I have a very good reason not to. No, I don't want spikes.
  23. The cake is a lie! Aluminum and Chromium can't get rid of the investiture, since the metal is the pipeline. Get rid of the metal, no investiture involved. Although, I am currently fascinated with Aluminum's ability to wipe out Investiture. If an Aluminum Gnat with Breaths were to burn aluminum, would their Breath count go to zero?
  24. I think that in certain situations, it's plausible that some things could be turned into aluminum. For example, in Shai's cell (the one with 44 kinds of stone) she may have been able to simply get the stone to turn to aluminum, since it would make a good cell for a Forger.
  25. Um... You've posted the exact same thing three times now. Everything all right? Did you sleep in or something?
