  1. So Subterranean Press is putting out special editions of Perfect State and Shadows for Silence in the Forests of Hell. Each will have a full color dust jacket and five interior two-color art pieces and by housed together in a slipcase. The super limited edition already seems to be sold out but the lower tier is listed at $99.
  2. Woo I'm not imagining things! And I do not know whether we do but I'll check when I get a chance. Edit: Just checked and I think both are in Theoryland. (Goodreads) (Barnes and Noble)
  3. (source) Basically it's for a game Brandon has thought up that may or may not ever happen.
  4. I'm pretty sure he did, but it was quite a few years ago and I'm having difficulty finding it now.
  5. The Heralds are not Splinters of Honor, the honorblades are.
  6. Actually I had to do with sleepiness. In high school Brandon was always sleepy during class and wide awake at night and he thought how it would be great if he could store up the sleepiness during class so that he could use it at night.
  7. Honorblades are shardblades because Brandon says so: (source)
  8. You do realize that honorblades are also shardblades, right? But you might also find this interesting:
  9. We have this: (source) We also have this which says something related: (source)
  10. Actually Brandon has said the development of sentience is a fairly common occurrence when you have a bunch of Investiture in something.
  11. I disagree with this interpretation. The way I understand it is that being bonded to a living Shardblade allows one to heal a Shardblade cut, while being bonded to a dead one does not.
  12. On a side note all of the artwork is posted on Brandon's site (and book 1 for good measure). But the kindle version should have all the artwork, though probably not as high quality.
  13. Yes, but he immediately qualifies it, by saying "well, you've seen the people", which to me at least undercuts the "yes"?
  14. As a point of fact that's not quite what Brandon has said: (source) (source) Both of those are verbatim and they both seem to imply, at least to me, that we have seen the people but not the planet they are from.
  15. Please put it here.
  16. Maxal said it would make him an Edgedancer because the blade was originally an Edgedancer spren (as confirmed by Brandon). As for the original topic I've not seen anyone post this: (source) By the way the current plan is for the focus characters to be: Kaladin, Shallan, Szeth, Eshonai, Dalinar, Lift, Renarin, Jasnah, Taln, and Shalash.
  17. He did actually: (source)
  18. Yes, as hoser says it is on the map, basically just start at the "L" in Purelake and go down:
  19. Did you even read the second post in this thread?
  20. I do love that sequence... but Harmony that is some stealthy (possible) foreshadowing...
  21. This is exactly the case. I'm working on transcribing something where Brandon spells this out explicitly.
  22. Shadesmar translates as "Cognitive Realm" in some ancient Rosharan language.
  23. Hey do you guys mind if I split this disccusion off into it's own thread, so we don't clutter this event thread with non-event stuff?
  24. Well he does have Seasonal Affective Disorder (and clinical depression). Sometimes things have a mundane explanation. I'm not necessarily saying he doesn't have an affinity with the wind but Brandon has given the impression that the Orders only get a single "magic perk" and for the Windrunners that's strength of squires.
  25. @Kurk, fyi the question about the Royal Locks you stole for me is RAFO'd because it will likely be discussed in Nightblood.
