The Ultimate List of Questions for Brandon
WeiryWriter replied to Chaos's topic in Cosmere Discussion
Yeah since the text says there are "hundreds" of Aons the glossary is hardly an exhaustive list (there are actually several Aons mentioned in-book that do not appear in the glossary as well) -
Speculation: Horneater Nuatoma have Lift-like magic
WeiryWriter replied to ecohansen's topic in Stormlight Archive
Sorry. -
Actually I'm pretty sure Perfect State does take place on an alternate Earth? It does reference Earth history.

Eh, I'll live. And he did give us some information (i.e. Shardblade cuts are generally wider than a human hair. Which means they don't cleave things perfectly.)
-
Well Brandon uses it the exact same way as Jordan. When he said it it didn't necessarily mean it would show up in the text, or even be answered. It basically means "I'm not going to answer that question at this point in time because it may spoil something coming up or if I did answer the it it would make you focus on the wrong things or a variety of other reasons."

Okay for reference here is the original quote about God Surges: (source) But here is a follow up asked a few days later: (source)

Odium Isn't Ruin: What is his Goal?
WeiryWriter replied to teknopathetic's topic in Cosmere Discussion
No Sazed still has to contend with two polar opposite intents. That said there are indications that Sazed is doing "something" with the excess Ruin in order to remain balanced. -

Where did the first koloss get their blue skin?
WeiryWriter replied to Red Ferring's topic in Mistborn
This is the second time that I've seen this pop up but I don't think the koloss re-use the skins? Like their "koloss skin" is just their normal human skin, it's just changed just like the rest of them? Human just ripped it off so he could get to the spikes more easily. -
The Coppermind's Birthday Extravagapalooza!
WeiryWriter commented on Chaos's article in Brandon and Book News
All edits are checked anyway so if you accidentally mess anything it will be fixed in a reasonable amount of time. -
Is White Sands going to happen???
WeiryWriter replied to The Honor Spren's topic in Cosmere Discussion
Roughly yes. Brandon describes the differences as the same as would be done during a major revision, rather than a complete re-write. One such differences is that Hoid will have a much expanded role (in the version he sends out he appears only in a reference to a past experience by one of the characters.). -
Is White Sands going to happen???
WeiryWriter replied to The Honor Spren's topic in Cosmere Discussion
Yeah there are no current plans for there to be a prose release of White Sand, the graphic novel will be the canon release. As for the version Brandon sends out, it's about the same level of quality as Elantris, maybe a little less, but it was good enough to get Brandon his agent. It's a descent story, just not up to the caliber of Brandon's current skill. There will be changes between the graphic novel and the version Brandon sends out. -
The Coppermind's Birthday Extravagapalooza!
WeiryWriter commented on Chaos's article in Brandon and Book News
If I remember correctly Chaos has been talking about a "totally awesome rewrite of Rashek/The Lord Ruler" that he's been meaning to write. So you'd have to duke it out with him -
This is a worthy goal, but Brandon is already fully booked for 2016, and 2017 is filling up. Basically at this point Cons need to book him 2-3 years in advance.

Is it possible to become a beta reader for Sanderson?
WeiryWriter replied to dayman's topic in General Brandon Discussion
Actually Beta readers are mostly picked by Peter Ahlstrom, Brandon's assistant, not Brandon himself. And he does sometimes pick people from the forums and other other online places. -
Actually he did write a whole novella length sequence, but it's not getting published: (source) Edit: Also here is a comment Brandon made about the possible novella a while back on reddit: (source)

Knights Radiant cosplays and our Order colors...
WeiryWriter replied to siffy's topic in Stormlight Archive
You might actually want to email Brandon about this (source) -
Well it has been over five years...

So the whole lifeform switch thing was a decision made by the admins during a very... lengthy conversation about categorization and stuff. Something that big really is up to the admins. You can always propose a change and we will discuss whether we think it is a good idea. (If you want to do a write-up on how to change the magic categorization stuff by next weekend we actually are planning on having a staff meeting) If you want an admin's attention on something you can always just put a note in the edit description. Or you can always PM me or one of the other admins (Chaos, Joe ST, Windrunner, KalynaAnne). Your Bonds page is something we need to discuss so just be aware of that.

So I guess I should actually write this post about why we have these rules (or something like that) that I've been meaning to write since you started this thread... Not putting info/navboxes (these are the {{thing}} that go at the top and bottom of pages) on User pages: Those things automagically categorize pages for us. That means whenever a page has {{character}} at the top the page is put into Category: Characters and when you put {{stormlight}} at the bottom of a page it goes in to Category: Stormlight. The issue with that is not only are the categories used for navigation but they are also used for the site statistics that show up in the Editor's Corner (which Chaos linked). Deleting the {{stub}} tag: So basically (almost) every article on the Coppermind has a tag based on it's completeness (stub/partial/complete). These are, again, important for statistical reasons. Once you become a more experienced editor changing the tags (i.e. upping stub to partial) is no big deal (it's easy enough to switch back if the admins disagree) just don't get rid of it entirely. The one thing that is strictly for the admins is the {{complete|reviewed=yes}} tag. As for other things you should know... I can't really think of anything, this will all be kind of a learning experience but if you do anything wrong we'll fix it and let you know.

You are correct, if you want to decode them yourself you might find this useful. If you'd rather just read the decoded versions here you go. (Thanks again go to Harakeke who cracked the script)

Constant. At least that's the name given to Allomantic bendalloy/Feruchemcial gold in the Alloy of Law supplement for the Mistborn Adventure Game. (Here's a chart I made of the 80 or so names they came up with for the supplement.)
