  1. Yeah that's not the first time he's mentioned that the Dor is in the Cognitive Realm, he mentioned it at the Firefight release party.
  2. It's explained in the Alloy of Law supplement of the MAG (as well as the Allomancer Jak short story written by Brandon that is included there).
  3. Why does there have to be a reason? Renarin's ASD is a part of who he is as a character as developed by Brandon, there really doesn't have to be any further relevance. From an out-of-world perspective though Renarin's ASD is super important, as it is incredibly rare to see individuals with ASD in fiction, particularly fantasy, which makes this a matter of representation.
  4. Sazed changed things so that koloss can now breed (and are less "homicidal rage monsters") but they are still Hemalurgic constructs and as such require spikes to become "full" koloss. Koloss-blooded are human (-ish) offspring of full koloss. When they come of age they can accept the spikes (though there are trials and traditions in place so they have to earn them) and become a full koloss or they can leave the tribe and join the rest of human society. (The opposite can also happen, a person can leave "civilization" and earn spikes as well.)
  5. Hey would you mind posting about that in that event's thread in the Events and Signings forum?
  6. The way it reads to me makes it sound like he's saying the "Survival" Shard is the same as the Shard that isn't on a planet, which it isn't (as I explained in my post).
  7. No, Autonomy is Bavadin. Survival Shard, IIRC, isn't on a planet. Ehh, you are correct that the "Survival" Shard is not Autonomy/Bavadin but it is also not the Shard that isn't on a planet. We know of both of them by people asking about Shards we hadn't heard about before. (Therefore the "Survival" Shard isn't Autonomy because we already knew about Bavadin holding a Shard, and then we already knew about the "Survival" Shard when he told us about the Shard that isn't on a planet).
  8. We've actually known about Brandon's plans for a Space Age Mistborn since pretty early on in his career. This is already one of the main pieces of evidence for the "Ones Above are Scadrian" theory.
  9. That's what was talking about, all questions should be in chronological order (it makes it easier when someone goes and indexes the signing).
  10. Peter has mentioned that the Bands tour would be mostly non-existent and the Calamity will be rather short.
  11. I've been meaning to do a pass through the transcription but I just haven't had the time yet. I do have one request for when it gets posted though, can stuff actually be put in chronological order?
  12. No, he has explicitly said that it takes place after Stormlight 5, at the very least, it could be later: (source)
  13. Not to mention that Hoid was the one writing it. (And to be clear the First Letter in WoK was from Hoid to Frost, the Second Letter was from Frost to Hoid.)
  14. Mistborn Era 2 takes place after Stormlight 5 actually.
  15. Oh... My... Harmony... Can it really be that simple? The exception is the Dor. The Dor is in the Cognitive Realm. Distance and location is largely irrelevant for the Spiritual but the Cognitive is a twisted reflection of the Physical. Selish magics are region locked because their power source is only in one place.
  16. Yeah there has been. The first voulme is about 70% complete and is unlikely to come out this year (next spring is more likely) but we should have a better idea by the end of the year. New art comes in every week.
  17. I don't think this should happen. For now let it be an exclusive to the Anniversary Edition, if you want it either buy it or go to a bookstore and read it on the shelf (it's only a couple pages long). Perhaps in a year or few Brandon may post it on his website like he did with The Eleventh Metal but that is his prerogative.
  18. If you need questions to ask you can also look through the Ultimate List. (That list was updated just before SoS was released so you don't have to worry about spoilers from that, though there are plenty for other books).
  19. That is correct, unless he decides to dabble in another Era again, which he has contemplated doing...
  20. Ehh Brandon has discarded the whole "trilogy" nomenclature. He now refers to things in terms of Eras. Alloy is book 1 of Era 2, which will be 4 books long. Era 3 is what was originally referred to as "trilogy 2, i.e. the modern trilogy".
  21. @ReesaB If you need help coming up with questions I'd recommend looking through the Ultimate List. Chances are something will catch your fancy. On the second question you raise, not all of the Orders would be okay with it (neither the Skybreakers nor the Windrunners will take him after that) but other Orders would be totally fine with it (the Dustbringers and the Willshapers would both still allow him to join).
  22. Would you mind posting the audio as well?
  23. Eh Peter posted about Dragonsteel ages ago that it would probably be either 3 or 5.
  24. Personally I cannot recall Brandon ever confirming that he has PTSD. He has confirmed that Shallan has it though. The main thing that Kaladin is dealing with is clinical depression (and some Seasonal Affective Disorder). Of course that doesn't mean that he doesn't have PTSD on top of everything else, we just don't have confirmation on it.
  25. Somethings that would be useful for the coppermind are: Can we get a name for the parasites that the Aviar eat? SoS spoilers: And this isn't quite necessary at the moment but I'd like some confirmation: SoS spoilers-ish? From the Ars Arcanum:
