They can't read, they simply know the Glyph and they learn with a combination of tons of images, memory and a woman who read to them medicine books.

How you guys think the Spiritual Realm functions?

What happened to the metals when Harmony came into power?
Yata replied to OblivionRapture's topic in Mistborn
If he want, he may create Lerasium and Atium at will and of course if he creates the same amount of both. Balance or unbalance remain the same. IF He didn't reabsorb back the Pit's Investiture. The era 1's Atium would keep growing in the Pit as it always did. That portion of Ruin's Power stolen by Preservation. Was placed in a system called "Pits of Hatsin" where it spawn in solid form as Atium. Once burned the power return to the Pits to grow again and of course if Harmony didn't re-absorb the Pit's power...the atium will still grow there. -
Probably for Hoid Jasnah is something like a baby

I think He meant that Harmony didn't absorb back the Pit's Investiture (as far as we know) therefore He is already in a state of equilibrium. -
I am become a Waffle cook....I am a bit confused now

How do you store fractions of Investiture, with Nicrosil?
Yata replied to SkyBolt's question in Cosmere Q&A
yes exactly, of course He may use some trick to obtain the starting charge from someone else in case he would be unable to do this (also if in his case this would result in his death with the Atium-Youth) -
Mmmm it may be interesting but I don't know I think it would me more than that...also because with a similar tech you may gain infinite resources, I honestly am uncapable to see this tech used of law and order problem instead of money

I think the whole Nale's point wasn't about the Listener but instead of the Voidspren. To him the Voidbringer Szeth saw, are the Voidspren stucked on Roshar from the last Desolation, with new Listener host...but nothing new on Roshar's History (as some Dalinar's Vision showed) -
Theory: Why Allomancy is either one power or all sixteen
Yata replied to cometaryorbit's topic in Mistborn
Actually Allomancy (and I think Feruchemy) manifests itself as a signle power-Metal. The Mistborn are an overloading of the Allomancy with infusion of direct Spiritual overwriting made by Lerasium. It has to notice that is possible to be a double Misting with some ways for example Hemalurgy or thanks to Lerasium's alloys -
ooooh understood. I still think it not work in that way, but now at least as more sense. Notice that almost everywhere (except of course the Deep Sand) there is a net of water just above your feet...But I really don't think you tap from that net or the net's source when you Slatrify. It's something too hallow to be something so simply (sure Sand Masters are quite arrogant jerks therefore I will not rule it out). It seems that a Mastrell may actually take some Sand (I don't remember if Black or White sorry) and turn it into water (probably killing the lichen and release the water in them)

I think they may be but without the efficiency of others Orders (Windrunner, Skybreaker, Edgedancer and DuskBringer) using the Cohesion Surge to make their feet enter in the wall and give them a grip....but I don't think it's a very reliable or fast way to move
-
Actually this is impossible, the ability to Slatrification is something usable everywhere with the White Sand...Not only in the Deep Sand.

How you guys think the Spiritual Realm functions?
Yata replied to Blightsong's topic in Cosmere Discussion
I think this is completely wrong, we also proofs in-book of it. The Southern didn't need of store their Identity to change connection to the places...As you may see with their Medallion, no Medallion showed has F-Alluminium (and if a Theory is true, it's impossible to craft a Medallion that gifts F-Alluminium). PS: I want to add that to me the Indentity is still a Serial Number spread among all your Soul, some part of its working is unclear but I think it's a more functional explaination to almost its functions. -
I think it's possible in theory (sure you will break the laws of nature but...happens) but impossible in practice, You will not be able to store Infinite mass in a IronMind....Probably you will fill also an ironmind big as a planet in some seconds.

Yata replied to SkyBolt's question in Cosmere Q&A
Rashek never sleep, or He simply would die...He can't tap his Atiummind in the sleep and to him it would mean die. Another point, with a little charge of wakefulness, he may continue to compound forever (as long he had metal), the scene with Vin see him old, isn't a "He stores Youth to a later compound", He can't do this, if he stops compound he would simply die. Probably Rashek spent almost all his "private time" in an old form to consume less Youth and he appear as a cool guy only in the rare public events. -
I don't think they may...Because the Seeker would need to obtain informations about the target not the source...Therefore they may understand that an Allomancer are Rioting lust but not who is the target of the Rioting. Also if the Seeker may "feel the target" you will not have the ful Steelsight effect, you will not "sense" every pieces of metal the Misting see, only the one he is actually push/pull and only if he keeps influence it. But again I think it's impossible for the first reason, A Seeker feels the source not the target

Honestly, I think this is the first look to Szeth as character, until now we saw only what his status pushes him to be, not him. I hope we may see much of the true Szeth PS: notice that Lift is still alive only because She is a funny character...so funny that Nightblood likes her, It will be really fun if Nightblood the next time Szeth try to tap into its powers (whatever they are) say something like Nightblood: "Ok Szeth, I will give you some of my Awesomeness" Szeth: "Please, Sword-nim stops call it in that way...It's embarassing" -
But that is an identity, not an Identity as Realmatic words....In the Emperor Soul a new Soul is manmade (womanmade ?) with Forgery and Dor. The Identity isn't tied to any mental/psychic/cognitive part of yourself (like I said in my first reply here)

It seems me strange, but it's possible. Do We know if a Spike out points and Spike In points are the sames ? Because a Bindpoint is surelly on the ear, another in the eyes another on the Shoulders,ecc.... The human body has 300 bind points...I feels strange if they are all on the heart -
I am not really sure, I think a Shard may create a Godmetal almost everywhere in the Cosmere. Of course on Scadrial (or to be more precise, With Scadrial Magic) you may find a magical use to this godmetals, other magics will find this metal not different by the mundane ones. For Hypotesis, Trell knowing the Metallic Arts thanks to his/her Realmatic Knowledge, decide to exploit the Hemalurgy to Influence people on Scadrial...He/she creates a Trellium meteor and launch it on Scadrial's path. The outcome is that now there is some amount of Trellium on Scadrial (again this is just an hypotetical scenario)
-
For now I could only find this two WoB: and They are quite explicit, I hope it's enough for your curiosity PS: This would mean that it's possible to create a Atium Misting with an Atium+Lerasium Alloy...But Brandon on this matter says that there are two possible outcome for this combination
-
Like I said the Malatium (the eleventh metal) is an alloy of Atium and Gold. Every Godmetal may form alloys with the others 16 standard metals In the end every godmetal may give birth to a set of 16 Alloys with Allomantic, Feruchemical and Hemalurgic abilities) , for the Atium we know only the Allomantical effect of Malatium (as showed on Screen), while for the Lerasium we know the Allomantic effects of all his alloys (with WoB no showed on screen). The Lerasium's Alloys may be burn by everyone and turn the subject into a Misting of the metal in alloy with Lerasium (probably with as poweful as a Lerasium Mistborn in that metal) EDIT: I wrote this post without refresh the page, therefore I didn't see the answers between this and the quoted message, sorry
-
This is an interesting point, I actually never considerated this. This may mean that flaring Gold in the moment of death could start a "In the moment of Death, I see my own life" and as you said with the Electrum an hypotetical own future (but you are going to die in seconds, therefore a really short future). Anyway @Thanatos as Spoolofwhool said the "11th metal" is Malation, the only Godmetal Alloy showed on Screen until now. It is part of the Set of metals compatible with the Metallic Arts obtainable with an Alloy of GodMetal+MundaneAllomanticMetal, in this case Atium+Gold.

Metal, and the chosen of Shards
Yata replied to coinbinder the awakener's topic in Cosmere Discussion
I think Endowment has less options than we commonly think. It's possible She simply track down the Cognitive Shadows that "naturally" born among the Nalthian and selects among them the usefull and willing to a Return
