  1. @Extesian I found a WoB while I was searching another WoB (as happen everytime):
  2. Yes but I am unsure Inquisitors will be able to burn their Spikes...for the problem of Identity matching EDIT: Now I think about....It's a bit complex, usually Hemalurgy has a chance to take with it some of the victim's identity (if the Spike isn't too deteriorate). So the outcome will be...strange. Vin itself didn't burn her Spike with Alluminium
  3. This is impossible. Brandon keeps separate the stories and the magic...at least for the "main character", in Nightblood (book) use the Hemalurgy as explaination for Nightblood (sword)'s existence will be a mess. Much more it's states somewhere that Type IV entities are possible also from Stone...They would work differently but possible. Lastly....Breath are not stealable with Hemalurgy
  4. Nothing (almost nothing) is impossible...But the "power" needed to performe some task is beyond the Mortals' abilities. Notice that a KH didn't become a better Stormlight siphon while progress with the Oaths, He become a more efficient surgebinder....so He need less stormligt to performe the surges and gain its benefit. In theory you may Push/Pull a Shardblade with Allomancy...but you need to be connected to a godly amount of power (just to make an example)
  5. This have no sense...first of all "how did she steal breath ?" but much more. Nightblood were created before the battle, they give it another name and Nightblood have time to know all the 5 Scholars quite well. Nightblood recive its actual name only after the battle. Once Vasher and Wife saw the effect of Nightblood's power. Then Vasher saw the risk in Nightblood's existence and decide to kill his wife to stop the knowledge.
  6. The only problem I see is: Shardplate is fueled by Stormlight...therefore also if the Plate is a perfect vessel. It would consume Stormlight for his own working. Another problem I never considerated (thanks to you for the inspiration) is that the Alethi cna't move Stormlight between gemstones...so no "large gem for long storage and then move it into little gem for use"
  7. Thanks @The One Who Connects, I may skip the WoB hunt. I come quite close to the right wording, good. I have to be honest, I don't think I never read about "only when tapped/stored" but I think is the logic link for how the metallic arts seems to work. An allomancer (or a regular guy) doesn't lost all his metal object when a Leecher touches it. THis mean A-Chromium needs "more" to access them. Like a Connection through the "subject". Of course this may be wrong but it seems likely to me. For example I don't think a Leecher may destroy with a touch a knife or any other object.
  8. I will try, for now I can only cite a WoB I remember (of course not the actual wording): Chromium Allomancy may leech Metalmind, but Invested metal is more hard to affect. Therefore a Leecher would consume before the mundane metal (I think the question was about a Compounder) and only then the metalmind...of course a Leecher may consume all his Chromium before the metalminds are completelly empty/destroyed. Now I put myself to search the actual WoB
  9. Sure: https://www.reddit.com/r/Stormlight_Archive/comments/51u8qu/oathbringer_spoilers_stormlight_three_update_4/d9i35bo/#d9i821k (Oathbringer update 4 it's a bit below, but I can't get the right link to the specific post) https://www.reddit.com/r/Stormlight_Archive/comments/5dpic4/oathbringer_spoilers_stormlight_three_update_5/dagomo5/ (Oathbringer update 5)
  10. ok it took me a while but:
  11. Unluckly no, it was a long digression to the role of the Identity in Realmatic Theory. From a simple question Bradon give us a lot of Information of Investiture's Interference there and how the Identity is the key part that allow your Investiture to not work aganist you. EDIT: I probably mixed two WoB together, one it is: and the other the explaination about drawn Stormlight from an active Shardplate EDITING THE EDIT: I found the other (from a Post of mine):
  12. As Tarion said the Blades were switched, but it's not Hoid who took it.
  13. I have an hard time to find the WoB about Investiture and how is keyed to the User's identity while in use. It was a WoB about the possibility of a Surgebinder who discharge a Plate of a Shardbearer simply sucking the Stormlight. How this is impossible, while it became possible once the Plate isn't used
  14. About the Voidbringer as not perfect recipe and Stormlight's draining in a Plate we have Wobs...I have only hard time to find them. I will post here when I find it. Notice only about the Stormlight in the weeping that Alethi manage to have enough Stormlight infused gem to use the Fabrial in the battle...so they manage to minize the Stormlight's leaking (maybe keeping Gemstone near or I don't know)
  15. I think the Command is the same, simply you need a more complex Mental Image...probably beyond the skilled Awakener's ability. We see too much in the book "Vasher do things"...but he is probably the best Awakener in the planet. Your standard is too high
  16. Actually you put the answer to your own prediction...in your prediction. The Plate weren't discharged by the Weeping because Alethi used to keep large gems (that hold more stormlight). You may see it with the "lanterns" used to feed Kaladin in the last part. The Plates would not be discharge by the Oathgate, because the Stormlight in them were keyed to the Bearer. Kaladin or any other Surgebinder can't absorb Stormlight from a active Plate...because the Bearer is already using the Stormlight and that Stormlight is keyed to him. You may see it in the Arena's duel, where Kal could suck Stormlight from a Plate but only when that part of the Plate were not used by someone else. PS: Notice that "Voidbringers may hold perfectly Stormlight isn't "the truth" is something Szeth believes...There is a difference, also the Voidbringer could not hold perfectly Stormlight
  17. @Tarion I agree with the Breath avaliability. But in the modern era, Hallandren build all the lifeless with a single Breath. The Manywar thanks to the one-breath-Lifeless-command and everyone may began to build a Lifeless Army with little Breath. The Kalad's Phantom themself are probably made with a single Breath (remember that Vasher cheated awakening skeleton)...so the Lifeless are really cheap to make, also advanced one.
  18. I can't honestly say for sure but Nightblood's passive boost (without Investiture needed) seems to compatible with A-Pewter. A single Lifeless with this boost may be a serious threat. If the Lifeless dies...another Lifeless may pick Nightblood and continue. Notice as other said that Nightblood is a prototype. So in Vasher's mind the threat of Awakened Steel is more about Nightblood-like weapon but more trustful. Imagine a Nightblood who choose who could hold him. If an enemy pick up, it forces him to kill himself and let only the ally to weild it.
  19. Actually stealing attributes is still lethal (maybe also more than Powers). It's for example the reason Kandra can't do more Blessings...Because they would need to kill a couple of dudes only to make a new Kandra (remember the Primary Blessing could not be recycled). Notice that we don't know if the "Stealing points" are the same to the "Reciver point" Returning to the Bindpoints, we can't say a lot. We don't know if there is a Harmless Stealing Point. Notice that to rip the Soul the wound need to be serious. Another point is: Also if you may (for hypotesis) steal something in a completely harmless point (like the ear), you mostly still kill the subject because ripping the Soul normally result into death. This WoB is quite explicit. Just a little difference from Warbreaker
  20. Yeah I alredy understood your point. I don't think there is difference between regular Feruchemical Charge and Preservation's stream filtred by a Metalmind. When a compounder Compounds a metalmind. Preservation's power mimics a Feruchemical charge. So at the end of all, "your" Feruchemical Charge and "Preservation"'s Feruchemical Charge is quite the same (notice that also your Feruchemical Charge is made basically of Preservation (& Ruin)'s Investiture). As far as we know, Compounder didn't act differently by "simple" Feruchemist...they have a lot of charge avaliable and faster. But they could not do something not avaliable also to a standard Feruchemist. I have also find this: I think the last part is about "Compound like Savantism allows the user to get more from his magic"
  21. We know they may affect metalmind. I think you may discharge a metalmind only if the subject is tapping/storing in the metamind in that moment but there is no an actual proof. Much more Invested metal "consumes" more Chromium to be leeched (Investiture's Interference) so it's possible a Chromium Misting thought to have removed all the problems while there are still charge in him. I don't think you may become a Feruchemical Savant. You actually tap "something" already compatible with you and your being. Instead the Allomancy force an Investiture Stream forged into something foreing to standard Human.
  22. @axcellence Odium is on Braize (in the Great Roshar System)...knowed in the Vorin tradition as "Damnation"
  23. He has simply other metalmind inside of himself...They could not find it/them and a Chromium Ferring could not Leech it if Miles was not tapped it.
  24. As other said Compound isn't a Resonance, it's a mechanic generically possible that make two systems work together, it's not an "ability" written/expressed somewhere in the Spirit Web. As a proof of "not Resonance" thesis: - Fullborn (for WoB they have no Resonance) may performe it (same thing with Mistborn-Ferring and Misting-Feruchemist). - A simple Misting may compound if someone provide him a unkeyed metalmind of his metal. And for definition a guy with a single power can't have a resonance. Returning to Miles, someone thinks his Resonance wss the "painless" but I can't honestly agree with it. I suppose everyone exposed to many damage in his live may develop a "alteration of pain threesold". The pain is a safe reaction of the body, if the body "learns" that damage isn't dangerous...it may suppress the pain
  25. There are some new answers (for some strange reasons mine are the only one skipped ) anyway: There are others, but are Argent's questions...therefore I will leave the honor to him
