  1. Like @WeiryWriter said the two events aren't directly connected for sure. Notice how the Evil is a real recent treat (some generations Before Silente) while the other is quite Prehistory....At least 5000 (but probably more) years in the past
  2. Wait I don't mean to a great degree. Something pratically irrelevant but a bit of more Investiture in their Soul. I know a Metalborn become High invested when he uses some of his Powers. It is like if a regular Scadrial have a 11 where the standard shardworlds' Human has 10. Nothing really meaningless (Probaby a Nalthis One Will be like 13-14)
  3. This is weird, because Scadrial are a bit above the Standard....So I could understand Nalthian with their Breath are above them, but Rosharan.....weird
  4. Again Confused I like the Theory's concept....But I see it deeply wrong. And in a certain degree is frustrating to argue about, you built the whole theory from a (possible irrelevant) Brandon's semantics (powers and investiture as different concepts instead of the same). You also played with the "Powers are a subset of Investiture" to accomodate every WoB to your need. There are still a couple of WoB who disagree with you (the Feruchemy one for example) but you simply mark him as "nah Brandon didn't intend that". Now returning to the actual topic's argument (I will use "-->" to indicate a trasformation from a type to another) - IF Powers-->Investiture and Investiture-->Powers your theory has no sense. If this two are interchangable twere are no sense to specific a set of rules and limitations for both of them. - If Powes-->Investiture alone, you need to explain me how it's possible for Preservation to regain his "powers" once he expends in Allomancy. Preservation's Power is explicity used and turned into matter/energy so for your model it could be recovered only as Investiture. The same thing is true for the Dor, The Elantrians have to diminish the amount of Dor with their AonDor (also the others Selish Magic Users, but Elantrian have the highest Dor's output. As usual I hope you don't find my aswers offensive, but honestly I can't honestly see how your model could work with the informations we have
  5. Well probably you will are more resistant to catch diseases but once you have the actual Healing isn't worth aganist them
  6. I don't remember this WoB. Could you post It here ? F-gold doesn't work well with disease. I think It happen because the disease is made of Life beings too and Investiture Interference happens. Probably for extension all' the Cosmere's Healing don't work well with the Diseases
  7. I think She Simply used the stair to reach the Wall and Soulcast It. If you notice the sketch show a bit the dynamic
  8. Ei man, my words aren't written in the Stone. I could be wrong, I simply took the facts we know to try to find an accetable model. A lot of things are unclear about Roshar's magic. PS: is It not relevant but your last post made me think something. Is "Nahel" a proper name (someone's name)?
  9. Leras was attuned to Preservation enough to have not the flexibility every Well's users had. Preservation still stops them from making something explicity aganist It's Intent(destroy Kwaan) but they have a lot of freedom compared to Leras and probably Ascendant Vin too.
  10. A bit of clarity: Unkeyed Metalmind: A Metalmind everyone with the right Power could tap regardless to be the owner or not. Unsealed Metalmind: A Metalmind everyone could tap. So a Medallion is in the end an Unsealed Nicrosilmind. We don't know how the Unsealing is performed. The other already gave to you some of the theory here in the forum. In theory if the Unsealing is something not strictly related to Nicrosil. We Will start to see other kind of Metalminds freely tappable (but of course you will not gain the flexibility of becoming a fully magic user with them).
  11. Actually also if Honor without help gave the Surgebinding to Heralds. This not imply Surgebinding is of Honor. For a Shard I suppose his really Easy to twist/mess with spiritweb (there is also an istance of Preservation giving Feruchemy to Terrismen). Much more we have a WoB about Surgebinding as "manipulating the Surges under an H&C's filter" so Cultivation is at least part of the magic. So unless we see the Heralds' Surgebinding to be different to a Radiants' one. We don't have reason to think Surgebinding is of Honor alone
  12. It was in the fifth or sixth Oathbringer update. I was the One Who reporter on the Shard so I could be sure. It is a long post about the Cosmere's immortality. You will probably find fast (i am on mobile now and I can't do the research myself)
  13. I think he meant the Sleepless and the Shodel are the same race. Something in the line of parallel Evolution/Creation or imporation. Just Autonomy be a Sleepless doesn't change nothing about her ability to be in many places as a Shard.
  14. There is also the fact. Frost believes Hoid is messing with Adonalsium's design/plan. A weird implication if Hoid was Adonalsium (he would have the better understanding of It)
  15. This is an idea I proposed in the forum for at least an year. So I could see the weak points quite fast (are the same I found months ago) 1) We saw only a Breath fueled Nightblood. It could feed of Every Kinetic Investiture but we don't know if his leaking is consistent among the different good. 2) as extension of (1) we don't know if the "corruption" happens for a Nightblood's inner mechanics or if It is a Breath's inner mechanic. To say It's possible Breath become "corrupted" because you steal It. So It is not really Nightblood the Corrupted to make the damage but Nightblood the Stealer. Random example: Maybe the Breath Will be similar Corrupted if a Larkin siphons them for you (under the hypotesis a Larkin May did It). 3)The main problem about my old (an your actually) idea is about what Brandon told us about "Corruption". It is in the end only "Investiture mixing". So whatever Nightblood adds or remove from the Investiture It eats. From different source you will have different outcome. So an etherogeneus amount of leaked Investiture Some of this doubts Will be no more once we Will see someone feeding Nightblood with Stormlight....Maybe already in Oathbringer.
  16. The Shades are a subset of Cognitive Shadow. They happen like a "tumoil Forged" (for the One Who read Emperor Soul") and there is a Investiture injection from Shade to a probably new Shade. Not all the deadmen return ad Shade. Only the "infected" One. So our Hypotetical Ambition's Vessel could be a Shade. But he Need to be infected from another Shade (something I honestly believe possible. If this two entities actually meet in the Cognitive) But AV's Shadow Will be overwrite by the Shade so I really dout He would be some "super Shade"....It is possibile but I don't think he/She would be nothing (Investiture's Speaking) compared to being like Stormfather or probably also the Unmades. I just wanted to point out how the "stormfather-like" beings aren't the default Shard's Cognitive Shadow, but instead an exception possible only thanks to a couple of weird exceptions
  17. Well actually at the basic Honorblades and Nahel Bond are Simply two ways to access Surgebinding. The two Surgebinder's Powers are the Resonance's cause. So It is actually linear the Heralds have this extras too. Probably also if you Spike out the two Surgebinding Powers from a couple of Radiants and you gift to someone...This guy Will develop the Resonance (also some unseen One if you mix surges from none of the orders).
  18. But Symbiotic relationships are generally bosted in Roshar. If you Bond with a Seon (or Nightblood) you will recive new abilities from this while are you in Roshar. So the Splinters or the bonds have to be much more than providers. Bonds are an inner mechanic of the Cosmere...I could see the possibility for them to be a Focus
  19. Yeah but the Planet gives a lot of Investiture to the envirorment (sure there are a few local people who could use It). Also the Essay remarks "the Investiture drop directly from the Sky". It's the reason for the Sand's recharge after some hours under the sun. This would not happen on another planets
  20. Notice I said "unlikely" not "impossible" because in the great schema really a few things are 100% impossible. Some weirdness may always happen with the Cosmere's inner rules. So for example to try to twist your theory a bit: Ambition died in an unknown Place. Probably not on a Planet...For some reason Odium choose to not strike down the freshman Dead Vessel (too tired or Ambition runned away in a Place where another Shard was and Odium could sustain another Battle or again Odium's mercy). So we have a Cognitive Shadow in that Place (because Ambition's Vessel chose to remain). Now if we assume Ambition stayed a lot of time in Therenody, we could ipotizate his connection to Therenody allows him to return there. Now we have Ambition's cognitive Shadow on Therenody. Unless he manage to recover a decent amount of power there. It would be only a Ghost. Also as a Ghost (if we assume It was a jerk or have something aganist local people). He starter to influence people (the madmen through their Soul's crack) to start an actual social calamity. This social calamity is the Evil (something that could happen also without magical interference). Who Force the Scouts to leave Homeland for the Forests of Hell. As you can see. This is not impossible, but I Need to make a good Number of speculations and Realmatic hypotesis only to make It possible. Notice also It is hard to understand Why the Evil didn't follow the Scouts. Maybe It's a physical manace and the Sea is a real obstacle. Maybe It's Cognitive in nature and the Evil is afraid of the Shades (I think a Shade could infect another Cognitive Shadow...It is a Nice question for Brandon). Lastly, this is a Place of discussion and speculation. Don't be afraid of expose your idea, but don't be fossilizzate in them either. Just to make you laught, in my signature, there is a old theory of mine about the Evil ;-)
  21. Actually probably Taldain is of the Place in the Cosmere with more free Investiture (for WoB). Probably every bit of Sunlight carries Investiture.
  22. Actually what Rashek did is rewrite his Soul (in the end the same effect of A-lerasium) and there is no limit to that...Or at least there are the limits but they Will be the same of Hemalurgy's usage(or lesser because Hemalurgy is less precise than someone who could letterally manipulate the soul without the limitation of the magic system. So if Rashek choose to have an X Allomantic Strenght It was because He could not reach X+1 Much more After his Death there weren't find Spikes in him (I think someone would notice them). PS: you could probably create "natural" Koloss, Inquisitors or other Hemalurgy's constructs with enough Soul editing Skill. Hemalurgy is a copy-paste of Soul. Rewrite a Soul can't be more limitated than that.
  23. Ok there is something really weird here. I can't write a detailed answer now (I am on mobile) but I Need you to answer some questions. In your model: - Can Powers become Investiture? (Obvious case, but for sake of clarity) - Can Investiture become Powers? - Could Powers exist outside the Spiritual Realm? Before I leave, I Will add a couple of facts: - Feruchemy Indeed needs to use some external source. If you store some of your Strenght for a while. Your Investiture is less Just for a while then return to the standard value. This mean now you have your Initial Investiture+the Pewtermind's charge. - You can't argue using ignorant characters' quotes as proofs. Marasi and Wax don't know nothing of the Realmatic. And if the words are sinonimus. The use of One rather than the other could be dictate only by the discussion's context. Again I will be unable to properly reply until I will return to home (at least 12-13 hours from now)
  24. You could be right....But I am unsure. After all engaging two enemies without the "Skill" to killing them fast is probably foolness
  25. This theory is unlikely. I explain myself Better: - Ambition & Odium fighted also on Therenody's system. But the actual killing blow happened somewhere else. - Indeed It's possible Ambition's Vessel could remain as Cognitive Shadow but: (1) Probabily Odium Will Simply crush him/her (2) this Shadow Will be not a relevant entity. Just someone Ghost, unable to influence directly the physical...If you read SH. Our Ambition's Vessel Shadow Will be like the SH's Main character (at least for half of the book) Don't make your knowledge of the Stormfather tricks you. Tanavast's Shadow merged with an already present "powerful spren" (the rider of the storm). He maybe gained some margin from the Shadow but the actual Power was already there. Little recap: In the end if Ambition's Vessel remained as Cognitive Shadow It would be not in Therenody and He Will be not a powerful entity at all.
