  1. it's probably a stupid idea but it may be a possible explaination about Steel/Iron Allomancy. Yeah but the Nalthis Focus is Commands not Colors and we don't know what Roshar's Focus is. With my interpretation on many Shardworlds you will have nothing to Push/Pull
  2. Actually as far as I know after 2 week of the book's release one can post about a book on Cosmere Theory. I read it just today on another topic... Am i wrong ? Anyway I am sorry to spoil something to you, i will edit the first post (it's just a little thing, but sorry)
  3. (very little Spoiler from Mistborn: Secret History) Hello sharder, I am here with a strange idea that come to my mind. We know that Steel/Iron Allomancy allows to push/pull Metals, but is it possible that we have wrong all this time ? (and the effect we saw is only a specific istance of Steel/Iron Allomancy outcome) The doubt come after reading Secret History, we see how on Scadrial every Metal is a gateway to Investiture and in the Cognitive Realm they glows like Beacons for this reason. Now what if Does Steel (and Iron) Allomancy let you spot this Beacons and to use it as Anchor to Push (or Pull) ? (like if the Metal is more compatible to be manipulate through Investiture) Of Course on Scadrial this let you to Push/pull on metals (this is the "Specific istance"), but off world the Beacons to be used as target may be something different (and maybe something not physical like the Command on Nalthis). I know this idea of mine may be very probably wrong, but I find this possibility quite intresting and I want your opinions
  4. Well if Nalan is hunting all the surgebinders you are problably right. But until now I am not sure He hunts all the Surgebinders. At the moment we saw him tried to kill only Edgedancers (or someone who may be an Eagledancer) therefore it's possible that only that order is his prey for some reason.
  5. Gold: Show your other possible self based on different living paths, here I will call it "Gold Shadow". Electrum (gold Alloy): Show your possible future. Atium: Show future action of everyone near you. Malatium (alloy Gold-Atium): Show you the "gold Shadows" of everyone near you. The Electrum effect neutralize the Atium power because if you know your future you may change it constantly (like two atium users in combat). While the relationship Gold-Malatium is that the Malatium is actually a "reverse gold" projected to the outside target instead of the user.... It's our only example of Atium Alloy but seems that every alloy Atium-NormalMetal twist the effect of the NormalMetal in some ways.
  6. Yeah probably the only stable source of Cognitive Shadows is threnody with his Shades. Other kind is very rare.
  7. First of all we don't know how the magic worked before the Shattering. Therefore this may be an epic nosense: I think the Vessels performed an hole in the Spiritual Realm (through destroing or reseacting the Spiritual Aspect of Someting). Through this gateway they had access to Adonalsium or at least some part of himself (Adonalsium was problably connected with everything) and they Shattered him. The "Weapon" was to me an Item designed to destroying his own Spiritual Aspect and propagate some of the destruction (think it like a "Suicide Soul") through the Connections. After they used it, the Weapon was no more, but they destroyed also something in the Spiritual and therefore everything in the cosmere made by the same material shared this new Spirital Emptyness.... well of course I think that can be both the explaination about "how to kill someone probably in a unreachble realm" and "the Alluminium Spiritual deficit".
  8. First of all... Welcome You have put together a nice argomentation, but to me you are thinking without flexibility. It's hard (if not impossible) to compare two setting so different using arbitrary example. For example, you said that Vorinism hasn't the same power of the Church during the medieval because on Roshar the science develops free. But actually the progression of Science is part of the Vorin doctrine, the Heralds themself returned on Roshar to teach people the forgotten science. It's impossible use it like a comparative example. Anyway your analysis is good but to me you are tring to fit things too much through stereotypes.
  9. Well, probably AonDor may do it
  10. Atium compound... maybe if (but I am unsure) compounding Atium stressed too much the body, He will have to use also some Gold Compounding. But of course, the "immortality trick" is just Atium Compound.
  11. You will probably break yourself. If Savanthood is a stage obtained in long time stressing your body through allomancy (and it's a dangerous status). Probably an UltraBurst of power will end to kill you or at least some aspect of yourself.
  12. I was thinking: Speed is one of the attributes (with for example Healing) that need "high multiplicator" (with a loss of power) to be very useful in battle. Much more is probably limited in the max Store-rate (like Strenght and Healing). But why is Healing Feruchemy more usable ? I have a possible answer: To use Speed you have tap enough Feruchemical charge to influence the whole body, while with the Healing you influence only the damaged part of body. Well this is a possible explaination of the difficult to use Speed Feruchemy, just a mix of: Low Storage rate, High multiplex and high consume to influence the whole body.
  13. I develop a theory about the Dor as a single new "Splintered Shard", I don't know if it may be useful to your interpretation (anyway this is the link).
  14. I suppose he wanted to give himself a true immortality when the Well will be refilled (and of course fix any problem He made on Scadrial). He had 1000 years of time to study and expand his knowledge of Anatomy and whatever he need.
  15. I always though (and some Sharder dislike my view) the Divine Breaths are Splinters that Enodwment creates for the specific Deadman when he/she accepts to Return (and reclaim it when the Returned dies). They develop some kind of self awares (at the level to a not-Radiant Spren) but they are soon Bond with the Returned himself. this prevent further mental develop. The power after all "want to be used" and without guide begin to develop a mind of its own.
  16. First of all thanks... I tried but I can't find it yesterday. Now, I already said that I discharged this idea, also if it has some appeal to me. EDIT: Of course the "idea" of the previous post (thredony people as former Mistwrath) is different from the one in my theory topic. I already left that one, thanks I forgot to edit my signature
  17. I for some time (a couple of days) thought that Threnody was where Harmony places the Mistwrath turned agains in Humans. They was legacy of ancient time with no space in the modern era. The Homeland was of course Scadrial. This because "The Evil" was related to Ruin (we have a WoB about), the reason of the Shades is a Legacy of the Cognitive Block they once have and the Decay effect of the Shades was extra Ruin Investiture that Sazed give them to balance his own powers (this remove their Feruchemy) Of course I found to many problems to this idea to develop it further :-)
  18. Probably the Speed is hard to Store because you may store just a little part of your Speed without Health-Problem. (Maybe something about your Heart Beat, or other living function). Some Feruchemical Attributes can't be store over a threesold without the Feruchemist's death. (For example I remember something like "a safe Strenght storing rate is 20% without risk" but I am not sure about the number at the moment)
  19. I am with Chasmfield about the physical change, probably you will stole his "base Allomantic Power".
  20. This is not true, on Scadrial Metals are Focus and they are gateway for power (like if them are in resonance with Investiture there)... this is the reason for example of the Metal-Blind of Ruin and Preservation. But for example on Roshar the metal itself has not this kind of function. Metal and Stone are hard to awaken because the Awekening simulate the life and it's more easy to awaken something, more the object is near to the "life"... Metal and Stone was never "Alive" and therefore are the hardest (not Invested) object to Awaken. For example I remeber a WoB about a "Guy soulcasted to Stone, that was more easy to Awaken than ordinary Stone because it's something once living"
  21. Shardpool is some kind of "Shard's Investiture leaked" into the Physical Realm. It's like if the point where this leak concentrate itself. If I am not mystaken in a book, is described in the same way as "brine in the cycle of water"
  22. To me we saw Copper Feruchemy in the wrong way. A "memory" isn't some countable thing but is instead just a subset of the whole Feruchmist's experience. When you use F-Copper, you store some "minutes of experiece" (as a memories) and then you may tap the same "minutes of experience" to yourself. Of course my explaination has some problem, for example "why does the copperminds degrade while the other metalminds doesn't ?". The F-Copper is a Cognitive Abilities therefore problably there are some kind of Realmatic Problem here.
  23. I am not sure about. They can't do it because the Intent stop them, therefore they are already corrupted by the Intent. After all I suppose that creates everything on Scadrial wasn't the first thing they did... Maybe they stayed some time with Yolen, then travel to the Cosmere, ecc...
  24. Every Shard is "the Power of Creation". Ruin & Preservation can't create just because create something is aganist their Intent, but once they "trick" their Intent (at least Preservation) finding a way to create (Preservation creates because knows that it's need to stop a force of decay and Ruin creates to may destroy all after) compatible with the Intents. They did it pretty fast.
  25. Without any "other Investiture" Nightblood will feed of the Investiture that made the wielder's soul... Of course this kills the wielder
