  1. Of course ... I wanted only to say that We don't know and their words may be used in different ways
  2. We don't know if he burned it... It may using Allomancy in another way. And also if the "became a Mistborn" is just the default outcome of Burning Lerasium on a Scadrial subject. Everyone with the right knowledge may obtain the same outcome with a more complex use of Lerasium (and Hoid is quite an Investiture Scholar) Anyway I think that "became a Mistborn" is the default outcome for everyone who burn it, but I can't be sure of this.
  3. Well Hoid may have split the bead and use it just a part to became a Mistborn, He doesn't need the power of a Lerasium Mistborn I suppose. Also a regolar Mistborn will be good to him. I think he wanted Allomancy just for Emotional Allomancy and to Compound his Feruchemy.
  4. Brandon says that Adonalsium may Shattered in different Shards, but we can't say if the actual division was forced by the Specific Vessels or not.
  5. Vin's earring has a "silver cover" but the spike itself it was made by the right Hemalurgic Metal
  6. Yes but Preservation was an "avaliable Shard". It's vessel was quite Dead and the Shard will be "soon" ready to be picked up by them. Maybe DorD have already a Vessel (or two vessels of course). Probably you see that sentience like "We Selish will be obtain a Shard of our own" but really they may talk about their group alone.
  7. There is a WoB abot their previous relationship was important about their first actions after the Shattering (example: Honor and Cultivation was lover and they left together Yolen for another Shardworld)
  8. Actually I remember "Shardblade cut in the Soul, Nightblood cuts on all three realm"... But I may be wrong
  9. Very hard to see a Mistwrath/kandra dies
  10. I remember the trick with the bones to give them more compatibility with life. Not another trick Vasher used
  11. Well Skaa impressive work.... I read it just once but it's a wonderful analisys.... I am not sure about the "Physical Essence and Spiritual Essence" but it's just a doubt of mine, without any clue about. Anyway great work
  12. Well if you have read Warbreaker there is the Phantom of Kalad lifeless that are made by stone but they can bend
  13. I am not 100% sure, but I remember a WoB about the extra might of a Plate that said it is comparable with Allomantic Pewter. And someone during the recent Q&A discovered that regular pewter double the Sthrenght of the User. (I am sorry but at the moment I can't search the sources)
  14. Actually they are both the same thing. A Shardblade is something in the physical (I don't say more to avoid Spoiler) and cuts Souls through the Cognitive. An average Threnody's silver knife is a physical toll and when cuts a Shades, cuts something in the Cognitive Realm.
  15. There are methods more easy (but very horrible)... For example you may take some Humans Soulcast them in stone and then Soulcast the stone to have some "titan like Human form"... At the end you wil need only to awakend it. Of course this is useful just to save some Investiture and for a large scale production
  16. I wrote a Theory about the merging of D&D in a unique shard (yeah i too came to the name "unity"). Anyway during SH one of the Ire talk of Devotion like if the Shard was whole again and with a Vessel, therefore maybe something happen and at least one of the Sel's Shard are whole again (merged or not with the other)
  17. Here, first question. Anyway Vin thinks as Silver as useless because she has no Allomantic power by burn it, if the Silver was like Alluminium you will see Mistkiller with silver weapon, Inquisitor & Mistborn with Silver Weapon.... Every nobles will use silver jewel, ecc....It would be much valuable than Atium probably. There is a WoB about if burning Alluminium or use Therenody's Silver is better to cure a Shades's touch and BS said that burning Alluminium is better... Therefore problably they are really different metals
  18. I like the Theory (I find it maybe a bit forced, but I like it) but like Pagerunner says the Timeline made this theory quite impossible. D&D's death is too far away in the past and instead SSFH is between Mistborn and Stormlight..... Of course something may happen in Elantris Sequel and the Selish will run away from their planet... But we don't know enough about. Odium himself is seal on Great Roshar during this exodus
  19. Or maybe Preservation and Ruin put some amount of Investiture and the living population is limited to that amout avaliable for soul. Something like the Pits of Hatsin that keep an amount of Investiture away and use for the soul's cycle.
  20. Actually if you Soulcast something like .... an Human to Stone and try to Awaken him, it would be more simple than normal stone because it's something more near to life than an average rock (through his past history)
  21. Syl is the only Spren we saw in the early stage of his bonding and after her early stage she seems very little a windspren (without say that HonorSpren can change deeply thier form) Pattern just returns to the Psysical but he was bonded with Shallan from years ago. And Jasnah end Lift's Spren are already far in the Bond.... Maybe also them at the begins was similar to other lesser spren (For example Cryptic with CreationSpren and Wylde with LifeSpren)... We didn't see enough to find a pattern (yeah bad jike I know XD)
  22. The Voidspren needa deeply crack in the soul to possess someone. We see it with the Listenes, they are quite incomplete beings without a Splinter's bond. In the Cosmere the "mental control" is something really hard, also a fullshard (Ruin or Harmony) needs a lot of help to control someone (rememeber He need at least 4 Spike to controll an Human). But it's possible that those things are a new kind of mistwarth/kandra without mental blockage... This ipotetical Species has no need of Blessing to gain sentiece and therefore are outside Harmony's control.
  23. What happen also to the other part of his Soul (that is also made by Investiture), it's return to the source....In this case Endowment. I don't know if you read other Cosmere books but this is the "standard cycle of Investiture" (if i can call it in that way)
  24. Actually there are two really different things: - the "Gemstone Spike" argument is about "change the deep mechanics of a Manifestation of Investiture from World to World, and actually I don't think this is possible (for the old reason about: Shard's Investiture+Shardworld's focus), to me until Harmony de-invested Scadrial all the Metallic arts will need metal as Focus. - my point about "Steel/Iron" argument is just a local misunderstood about how this powers has always worked. It's much more like the Bronze Allomancy, on Scadrial everyone though it "senses Allomancy" but actually it's just a local misunderstood for its real effect "senses Investiture"... as far as I know nobody on Scadrial knows for example that they can sense Feruchemy too... But it's just for their lack of knowledge and testing. It's possible Argent, and the metals is just more "Investiture compatible" on Scadrial. But I can't remove the option that in that case, He may simply pick little trace of metal to Push/Pull .... After all the elements of the periodic table isn't a huge number and many of them are metals.
  25. Well to explain why the Allumin can't be push/pull through Allomancy, I need another theory: the Alluminium has not a Spiritual Aspect (or at least misses some) . In that ways the Alluminium can't be affected through Steel/Iron simply beacuse the Steelsight (that work through the Spiritual Realm) can't "see" it. But of a reason indipendent from this explaination of Beacons as avaliable target. Therefore the Alluminium is an Avialiable target but it's invisible to the "tool" used by Coinshot to uses his powers.
