  1. First of all...Wonderful, really ... I left the forun for a couple of days and you create something like that. Second, I have to re-read this topic a couple of time to get every details, something miss my understanding of things (and my English did't help that) Often we saw the Cosmere quite differently but I have to say, I am impressed by this Explaination. Your first 3 point was quite clear to me from a very long time but I didn't catch the "possible difference" between Power of Creation and Investiture.
  2. Yes I know, I don't talk about what Happened, but what will Happen after Leras death if Ruin didn't mess with Preservation's Shard (without Vessel)
  3. Yeah but I think (and in the Oudeis post I said that) the Author made a Mistake trought the limitate knowledge about Hemalurgy (and Metallic Art) of that era. Of course I have no proofs but it's something possible, thinking about the situation.
  4. I agree with everything you said except the quoted part. Without Leras, Preservation probably will continue to act like Leras told it to do for the past years (well if Ruin didn't Splinter it of course), snapping Allomancer and helping Vin. We know that if a Vessel died the now Vesselless Shard may continue to act within the previous parameters if the Vessel held the Shard for enough time.
  5. Remember also that more you are invested and more easy you will find to "know how to use your Investiture" because the Investuture wants to be used. One example: On Nalthis everybody borns with a Breath but nobody discovered the Awekening until High Invested being began to born (Returned) with their more intuitive understanding of the Breath. We don't even know if before Vo, people knowed how to give away Breath or the basic Commands
  6. As Pathfinder said Leras was quite mindless but still alive until HoA. He sacrificed his own mind to create the Ruin's prison and after that he slowly began to die, probably he will take other centourty to move on, if Ruin didn't accelerate this process. And as others said anyone who Ascended may became a Cognitive Shadow e remaining in the realms (of course this doesn't mean that only the Ascended ones may become Cognitive Shadows). SH Spoiler:
  7. It have to be Cultivation. She is as old as Hoid, and if more than one being may be the target of that sentence. Hoid would not use "there only one..."
  8. Trough AonDor, the old Elantrians created objects (both organic and not) for the cities near them. It's a complex application of that power but it is part of AonDor possibilities
  9. I already though about the "accelerate aging" problem, and as far as I know only the Cadmius will be capable of solving this issues (but I am still unsure about the outcome). If you protect the crew with Alluminium (and the alluminium stops the Speed bubble effect) you will kill everybody in a moment. They will be accelerated to an high speed, killing them.
  10. But now Szeth has Nightblood, some FrankensteinSpren... It would be another block between him and a Highspren
  11. There are many possible reasons: - Highspren didn't come in the Physical to find Humans (like the honorspren but Syl disobey) - The Honorblade kept away the Spren - Be a truthless (the worst kind of criminal in Shin's society) made him not appetible to a Highspren - Something about his oathstone, maybe it's not just a simbolic rock - Nalan forbits the Highspren to choose Szeth, for his own reason - .... I suppose I finished the ideas XD

I have to re-check the part with Spook after He removed the Spike

I think we may exclude the second and the forth, if he feels something new inside of him he would be problaby told to someone. An average person don't feel reserve of power when swallow metals. I will remove also the Forth, also without Atium Shadow... The warmth of Metal burning is stated to be very hard to ignore.
  15. I though simply that the metals made by R&P once burned return to them as Investiture...but there isn't any "automatic system" to reform them as metals....R&P have to re-create the metals (this of course would be impossible prior to Harmony)

    Injecting Metals

Wait wait wait wait.... I am a stupid. In HoA when Demeux and the other Atium Misting are tested, they didn't sense anything from the "common" allomantic metals and until Elend give them the Atium, they don't think to be allomancers. Therefore Misting can't burn anythng more than their specific metals Sorry for don't think it early
  17. Really ? I don't remember something like that
  18. Just to add my 2 cent The Wax and Wayne's books are setted after the first 5 books of Stormlight Archive, therefore we can't be sure about Odium's status during BoM.
  19. I am unsure to catch you point, but you probably may do this, if you know the trick (unknowing for now) to make the metalmind think that you have the right power. But at the end you will have a limited F-Nicrosil, alone you can't use to performe anything
  20. We saw Syl as living Shardblade, or Pattern...also without Stormlight they have a very different "style" (and glowing) than a Deadblade, Kal at first look seems to see this difference without problems. Well someone may recheck on the Kal's flashback (or Shallan) if the Shardblade had a gemstone...this will be enough

I sended a tweet on twitter about, probably I will not recive any answer but It's a try..
  22. Heleran wasn't a Surgebinder... His shards didn't glow (or at least someone have notice it) and Kal would never killed it in such way with Stormlight boost and regenerative powers. Neither nobody notice such difference in the shard from before his death and after (lost of radiancy). Last, we know that if a Surgebinder died, his/her Spren simply return in the Cognitive. The only way to "froze" a Spren in Shardblade form, is to bond deeply a Spren to a Surgebinder (go further with the oath) and then suddenly severe the bond through Oath-breaking.
  23. Rashek was a jerk and other "not nice" things..but in the end this was meaningless. In my own opinion also the "Ruin's Infuence" was a minor factor. He build a system (the final empire) with the goal to fix his own mess and keep Ruin in the Well. His own plan was quite all about control, He can't allow any exception: - He needed ally and then loyal servant (he have to spread Allomancy and begin to use Hemalurgy) because also if he was such powerful, he was only a being and TFE is a large place. - He after spreading the Allomancy, he can't allow that someone gain power similar to his own... The bloodline have to keep separated, he can't trust the words of some terris or nobles and therefore we have the Terris camp. - The Skaa of course was needed...you can't make a system like TFE go without a low class (if everybody is a rich man, nobody is a rich man). - Of course the further spreading of Allomancy was forbidden but Rashek can't simply trust the nobles with many pretty Skaa women and therefore every potential hybridation have to be killed to prior.....punishment ? death to both parents and the son. - Many of the trouble of the Skaa popolation was made by the nobles itself, Rashek didn't care much of them (if there aren't problems). - Rashek didn't consider the Nobles much more valuable than the Ska, He manage to left them kill each others just to not be a problem to him....Probably to Rashek the Nobles was just the same of the Terris camp, Allomancer factory (but without the Nobles knowledge). - Rashek played a game 1000 years long, knowing that everyone he saw may be spiked and part of the Ruin's plan....With the doubt, every possible menace or "strange element" have to be removed/killed.... beacusa to Ruin without the ability to control directly people is very hard to remake a Spike and spike someone else. In the end, Rashek was a jerk but I don't think he does what he does because of it. Probably other "better" people would take the same path of him.
  24. Sure but probably to him is more easy to get it, coming from the Cognitive (if Rashek was at home). I am unsure Rashek may detect him (until he is too late). If Rashek was also a guardian aganist Cognitive thief, He would never leave his palace. Instead he thinked that his defences (the quite unpullable door) and the false knowledge was enough

in extreme case he may does, but quite always He burned pieces of gold in his stomach. Is quite simple if you think about: - He eat some gold (probably gold dust, work better) - He store a little health in the gold, then burn that piece of Goldmind. //He obtain more Health -He store this new Health in another piece of gold in his stomach and then return to the previous point. When he begin to generate "too much Health" (and probably He always in this stage during the book), He store the extra Health in the external Goldmind (both the one who pierce his skin and the normal braclets). He has no need to burn his external Goldmind but in extreme case He may do this.
