It's kind of a skewed understanding of the day since Thaid really didn't get any pressure, just a bunch of naked votes because jokes, and Devo was the most viable counterwagon for actual reasons, so imo the only way Striker works on a team with Archer if the team is Archer/Devo/Striker + maybe Mat since I still suspect him and he also works on a team with Archer. But Matrim also defended Bort C3, tried to save Bort from the yeet in favor of me/xino getting voted out (two villagers > elim), and has been v vocal about suspecting me, so it's not that odd for v!TJ to come in like "Yo I don't trust Mat or Aman and they both probably aren't V so might as well see if Mat is right about Aman and if he isn't then vote Mat out tomorrow." It's just... ugh. TJ would need to be playing an exceptional elim game right now to pit V!Mat and I against each other like this. I can maybe accept that TJ is faking his indecision in a 3!elim!team world because he would know the game doesn't end tomorrow and he'd need to get someone else voted. But then I don't get why he didn't vote out Bort C3 for bus cred. To avoid the question of why he doesn't get NK'd? The problem is if we are wrong about TJ and there are 2 elims, we just lose. Tbh at this point I care more about knowing what the heck is going on than winning, but I would still like a village win if possible, so I want to vote right today. Lol I just edited in thoughts for the both of you I cannot tell if Archer saying "Because the Experience fake claiming evil reaction test was planned in our doc and we must have a mole, we can't trust any data learned from it" was supposed to protect e!Devo or implicate v!Devo after Archer's death. I kinda feel like e!Striker would not have voted Thaid over Archer? But maybe I just hope that I nailed my v!Striker read from his response to my initial vote of him, cause that felt actually pure to me compared to other stuff being said as pure. I'm unironically worried that Experience is E/E with Archer for the latter trying to tie the former to me but tinfoil is too flimsy right now, willing to shelve that until a lylo situation @Kasimir for context the game Shadow and I met in was that neighbor game I told you about. She was an elim and convinced her town neighbor (basically 2 person Empire) to vote on her only teammate, who happened to be my neighbor, and managed to ride that credit all the way to victory in the end. So basically, what you just described is totally within her elimrange hahaha. But idk if she does it twice in a row, especially with illwei and I both being in that game and this one, plus she is a very similar Villager to me based on convos we have had so very much possible the same things that pinged my radar also pinged hers But just want to say holy chull, is this 4 games in a row now that we have D1'd an elim? @|TJ| Me too bro ;-; me too Okay. Assume that I am a Villager. Xino was doing nothing but voting you. I was putting in more effort to solve and advance the game. Whether the elim is just Mat, or the elims are both of you, removing me from the game is more beneficial to the elims win con than removing Xino. Furthermore, because I pseudo-claimed Veteran and elims cannot risk NKing me in case I am a Veteran, losing my extra life to votes over losing it to a NK means that it's a lot easier to argue that I'm an elim Veteran. However, if I was to be attacked and survive, I would be hard cleared Village. Therefore the only way to deal with a potential Veteran!me is to get me misvoted at least once then night kill me later, if not get me voted out the next day too. This was the entire point of me pseudo-claiming Veteran in the first place; to see if the elims were willing to call my bluff, or if they would try to get me voted out instead. The fact is, putting Xino/me in a 2/2 RNG works for the exact reason it's working right now. TUN is voting me, you are voting me, Mat was voting me earlier. All three of you cannot be an elim, which means at least one Villager is open to voting me out. Whoever the elim(s) is/are, it's clear to me they are keeping us divided and distracted by sowing the seeds of this Aman paranoia, and Mat in particular has doing this since C3 - the same turn he tried to stop Bort from getting yeeted, and also the same turn he said Xino and I were teammates - which I just cannot ignore anymore. His D1 vote of Araris is not enough, especially given the fact every other Araris voter is dead but him. to this? This is how I got from quote #1 to quote #2: The fact that TUN comes in saying "I'm not a fan of Aman," then says that he liked the fact I was playing mind games with the elims by claiming Veteran, then still ends up voting me for what seems to be just voting him suggests to me that he could be Village, and he's just as confused as I am. Elim!TUN has no reason to say he liked anything about me; he could just vote on me and say "he's voting me so he must be evil" and hope that whoever else votes me can get blamed for my death more than him. This tells me he may very well be a villager trying to solve my alignment. I worried it was you trying and failing to get the Village to kill the Araris voters. I now realize that you were right about Mat from the start. It's either that, or you're playing me against v!mat and taunting me, but I honestly don't believe that is the kind of thing you would do + I don't feel like this indecision I'm sensing from your post is faked. Contradictory, Aman :/ These are not contradictory. If TUN was a solo elim, I do not believe he would kill Thaid. I believe he would either kill me for trying to vote him yesterday or he would kill Orlok for voting Bort. Whoever killed Thaid did so because it benefited them specifically; which again points to e!Mat. Mat could not kill me because he's been trying to get me voted out, Mat could not kill you because you almost helped him vote me out, and Mat could not kill JNV because he's now trying to push the E!JNV narrative. If I was an elim, I would have killed Mat before Stick. Stick trusted me in PMs from C3 and was actively working with me to figure out if Orlok was the elim or if Bort was the elim. In our PMs, we both decided that Bort was more likely and that we'd vote him before we voted Orlok, but we were testing to see if any of Bort's teammates would try to save Bort by voting Orlok. I was not on for EoD, however, so I could not change my vote. I also was not on for EoD yesterday. If I was an elim, I would do everything I could to be present for EoD. Seriously, please go back and look at C3. Stick had me as Village if Bort flipped Elim. Even Xino had me as Village and was willing to vote himself yesterday over voting me until Mat got him to remove his self-vote. If multiple dead Villagers read me as Village, why are we doubting me now? Why would elim!me kill the people that trusted me? Why would elim!me not kill the people that are paranoid of me? It wasn't sly. I don't believe Mat is Village anymore. His push on me doesn't make sense from my PoV, and the evidence for him being an elim is too great to ignore anymore. But yesterday I was considering Mat cleared for voting Araris D1 and for our PMs. I also considered Orlok clear for leading the votes on Bort, although for a while I did worry he pulled a QF59 again by thunderdoming his partner. Today, my poe is <Mat, TUN, TJ> and right now I am most convinced of Mat. If JNV is the last or one of the elims, then I'm genuinely impressed, but they're the only player still alive that has consistently taken my side and helped me catch up after missing the first two cycles, so I have to believe that means they're village too. If you believe JNV is Village, then I'm asking you to trust their read of me. It's correct and there's only six of us left. Voting me out today means there will be four left tomorrow, and in a 2!elim world, that means parity and we lose.

I bet we'd be at 20 pages by now if we had been paired together I'm glad shadow has you to show her the ropes whenever she's not busy tho! Okay so, you and shadow are together, cool. That still means e!Archer could not have a mole in your Empire + another Empire and thus would try fishing for that information, or that e!Archer does have a mole in your Empire and wants to seem like he doesn't know your Empire's roster by asking that question. Also possible that v!Archer is just... latching onto you knowing Shadows gender as a way to pair you for... what reason? I'm asking you Kas because I legitimately don't know. Thaid's death suggests a deeper understanding of the game state than I think you would have being completely alone. I have not ruled out that you could be on a team with Matrim or TJ, however, and I am infinitely more confident in one of them being an elim after yesterday. I do feel you voting me right now does make you look partnered with one of them since both have now tried to get me voted out, though. If you are Village, can you tell me why you suspect me other than for voting you yesterday? We are very close to lylo now and cannot afford another mistake after Xino, so if you're not an elim, then us voting together is critical. Can you also tell me what about JNV you suspect? They're my best bet for a Villager right now besides Orlok, who is currently inactive, although I acknowledge that I don't know how e!JNV operates and that they could be pocketing me (main reason for me town reading them is their pure tone + helping me catch up in the game). Was there something you saw that raised alarm bells for you? Personally, I suspect Mat a whole lot more for the reasons I've posted above, and the fact he's trying to get people to vote JNV means that JNV is likely Village too. I'm interested to hear from @Amanuensis too Gonna respond to this post a little out of order, but I've got a lot to unpack. - "Here's my pitch." Why do you sound like a salesman and not a detective? Like... no joke, I genuinely find that one phrase suspicious within itself. This feels like you're testing the waters of a potential Aman misyeet more than you are bringing evidence into the thread that you genuinely believes makes me an elim. I don't feel a Villager feels that they need to convince people to join their vote - particularly when initially presenting their suspicion. I do feel like an elim feels they need to do that, though. - In the doc, Archer tried raising this same "oversold belief in e!Thaid" thing. And right now I can't quote it directly, but this is a misrepresentation of how that conversation went down. I told my doc something along the lines of "I wouldn't be surprised if Thaid has finally rolled elim for the first time. He seems unusually aware of people voting for him." I also said something like "I've been wrong about Thaid being an elim recently due to him being different between games, so I'm not reading into his alignment too much, but I added my vote to see if anyone would stack the votes even higher (testing for elim going for low-hanging fruit) or if anyone would try to save Thaid (testing for elim protecting a partner)." I also pointed out that at the time of this conversation, there were over 30 hours left in the turn and that I did not actually expect Thaid to remain the top wagon by the end of D1, and that I found it very interesting that Archer felt 4 votes on Thaid on the first couple pages meant his yeet was a foregone conclusion. This leads me to believe that A) Archer is E/E with Thaid or B: Archer knows Thaid is Village and is using my Thaid reaction test to make me look bad for some reason? There is a C possibility in which this is Village paranoia but... I really don't buy it at this juncture - As Kas pointed out, my PM policy (and thus Empire policy) is to assume the person(people) I'm PMing with is(are) Village. I hate being Village and paranoided to the point where people refuse to work with me, and I feel that it directly inhibits the Village's overall ability to focus on catching the elims, thus ultimately helping the elims win since they want the village to be distracted by infighting. Furthermore, me being "fairly pro information sharing" is a stretch. Archer originally proposed us collectively voting on if we should have any roles in our Empire claim. I instead suggested that we pretend our Empire has every role and, with a table, have each person pitch what they think each role should do every night turn. That way our Empire can discuss at length what we think each role should do, and said players with those roles could take the relevant discussion into consideration. Not only would this allow us to coordinate our potential roles, it wouldn't require said roles to reveal themselves, and thus become a target, of the elims. It would also be discussion that is generated within our Empire that could help us determine each other's alignments. This leads me to believe that Archer has a vested interest in keeping our Empire paranoid and uncoordinated, and is using the excuse of "our doc must have a mole" to achieve that. The ironic part is I'm increasingly becoming convinced he is the mole. - "Disagree with Mat that Striker isn't e-e with Thaid because extra unexplained votes can scare villagers off a train because they suspect elim bandwagoning." I'm... confused. Did you not just say you suspect me for "overselling my belief in e!Thaid"? But now you're saying that Striker could be paired with E!Thaid? Do you think that I'm paired with e!Thaid too and I fourth-voted my own teammate for... what? The luls? These thoughts appear to contradict each other in a way I don't believe comes from a Villager solving the game mindset - it feels more like an elim trying to keep options open, especially in the event that Thaid flips elim - which I have previously theorized could be possible and makes sense on a team with Archer. This especially makes sense given Archer's reasoning for unvoting Thaid: "they didn't panic or anything so I'm not getting a strong read on them either way." This feels extremely hedgy and I can't help but disagree; I think any Villager would be able to form some kind of opinion on Thaid's reactions, whether their opinion is accurate or not. Is it damning? No, absolutely not. But it's data, and I do not buy that Archer instantly leaps to NAI from it. - "I'd like to know how Kas learned Shadow's gender." - @Kasimir, could you tell me whether or not you are in Shadow's Empire? I have a feeling that Archer knows you are not and thought this question would either A: make people think he's inquiring to show that he doesn't know the rosters of other Empires, B: he thought he could use your knowledge of Shadow's gender when not being in the same empire to suggest you both are elims together, or C: does not actually know the roster of your Empire or Shadow's Empire and is fishing. No matter what, though, I don't understand why v!Archer would latch onto this specific detail from everything that has been discussed today. - "I also found them asking Mat for exactly five reasons was an odd request, and trying to double vote seemed weird too." Please tell me... how are either of these things elim indicative? "Odd" and "weird" do not = "elim" for one, and I will vehemently argue that neither of those things is "odd/weird" in the first place. It's very clear that I disagreed with Mat's initial take on keeping our Empires a secret, and that I wanted to figure out if his desire to do so was indicative of him being an elim. Asking for five bullet points (or less, or more, I gave him options) was meant to be a thought exercise, both to challenge Mat to think about the topic more deeply (if he succeeded, I might have been convinced to drop my current stance) as well as to see if he was approaching this game from a village or elim mindset. Secondly, Striker also did something I wanted to vote him for at the same time, and so I decided to take a page out of the QF59 playbook and "double vote" in order to make both Matrim and Striker feel pressure to answer. Striker's answer inevitably led me to reading him as village, while Mat's answer felt both appeasing and dodgy at once, which actually makes me suspect that Mat is an elim trying to remain on my good side + not trying to expose that his stance on Empire secrecy is alignment motivated. This leads me to believe that Archer could be paired with Matrim, who I began voicing even greater suspicion of in our doc. FWIW, I'm of the opinion that each Empire (and Sel as a whole) should be treated as a democracy, therefore I wholly support each faction to share as much as they wish. Personally, I'm in favor of transparency, and 3/4ths of my Teoish bretheren have voted for Empire reveals. Therefore I will leave it to them to claim their allegiance in thread, and welcome anyone who wishes to follow suit from other Empires to do so as they please. I don't agree that half the point of the docs is that they are "secret" - our identities were confirmed within them before we entered, for starters, so if secrecy was the intention, I would think it would be up to us to remain anonymous within our own Empire. If anything, I think *one* point of the docs is to replace PMs. It allows players to communicate outside of the public, to work together in secret (of other empires if no information leaks via elims), and to keep each other accountable in smaller microcosms. More than anything, I don't believe there's any preassigned "point" to the docs at all. I think it's ultimately for each Empire to decide how they want to handle themselves internally. A GM is a GM at the end of the day, not a player. Ashbringer might have invented the rules, but it's for us to decide how we use them. I personally find your RNG assumption fairly naive, if not intentionally misleading. I doubt the docs were "true RNGd" in the way you seem to be implying since that could potentially lead to every elim being in a single doc or 2+ docs being completely free of elim influence, which could easily throw the game balance completely out of whack. Yeah, I think we're in the same headspace; it's very likely just 1 between TUN/Xino based on how I feel about others being Townier, but when things seem too easy, that's when I begin to expect that I'm missing something and start worrying most =\ In a 4-person-team scenario, If Xino flips elim and the game isn't over, then I think TJ could honestly be the 4th person? I don't know why he'd not fight his death and continue to tunnel TJ otherwise, except to clear TJ for lylo. But if Xino flips town, it's either just TUN or TUN and someone that's pushing Xino over TUN (Mat, JNV, Thaid) or someone else that's currently not participating at all with hopes of riding their town cred to lylo. Fortunately, every kill the elims make further narrows the poe, so even if we get the yeet wrong today, we should have a better idea of the game state tomorrow. There's also a possibility that in a solo-TUN world, there won't be a kill tonight period because he's inactive, so technically safer to yeet Xino today and confirm if there's an active elim or not. Until my Empire collectively votes on if we are going to fully reveal ourselves, I might as well step up as the Teoish Emissary. We have 5 members total and thus assume we have 1 mole among us, if not 2 depending on how our beloved GM has decided to distribute alignments. If I had to guess right now, given 18 players, we are dealing with 4 elims total. I personally think at least one doc is uncompromised because from a GM perspective, it would be really fun to see a full village Empire pointing fingers at each other because of paranoia. Plus, if at least one faction has 2 elims instead of 1, it means we can't hard clear every member of an Empire once their mole is found. If any other Emissary would like to step forward and provide their Empire's numbers, I'd be quite happy, as this seems like a good enough topic for us to discuss at the start of D1 to get the ball rolling.
