  1. I guess I'm just a trustworthy guy; while I'll be happy to have people stop questioning my alignment since it only serves to distract us from our actual purpose of finding the Traitors, I'm a bit afraid that once I'm confirmed good that more players will start revealing to me, which brings us that much closer to this turning into a Mayor game. It's one thing when I gained a few player's trust and they revealed to me, as there is genuine risk to that if they turned out to be wrong about me, but in this case there's going to be little to no reason for people to want to not tell me anything... Which is one reason why I won't have alignment scanning roles in any games I run.
  2. I am changing my Kandra vote from Bridge Boy to myself, Adavantos, and my Mistborn vote from Dowanx to Kaid as well. Kandra Vote Tally (6) Bridge Boy: Adavantos (1), Paranoid King (2), Elbereth (2), Lopen (1), Spaghetii (1), Ripple (1), Kaid (2) (8) Adavantos: Orlok (1), Kipper (1), Clanky (1), Kaid (1), Arraenae (1), Steph (1), Bridge Boy (1), Araris (1), Adavantos (2) (1) Alvron: little wilson (1), (1) Kaid: Hellscythe (1), Elbereth (1), Paranoid King (1), (1) Stink: Stink (1) Mistborn Vote Tally (2) No One: Adavantos (1), phattemer (1), Clanky (1), Ripple (1) (1) Phattmer: Orlok (1) (1) Adavantos: little wilson (1) (3) Kaid: Hellscythe (1), Clanky (2), Adavantos (4) (1) Honey Badger: Araris (1), Adavantos (2), Arraenae (1), Spaghetti (1) (1) Dowanx: Adavantos (3), Bort (1)
  3. Ultimately it is up to the Kandra, but I have realized that it's best if I, Adavantos, get scanned tonight. The sooner that everyone stops questioning my alignment the better, as it's only making it harder for me to focus the discussion on topics that are actually important. For the record, I know Bridge Boy's role. Though I confronted him about it in PM and he denied it I am confident that I was right in my guess. But just because it is nothing special and could very well be on either team, I do not think that means he is expendable. Personally I would rather see him get scanned before we kill him, because while I don't buy a lot of the excuses he's made this game, I don't want to condemn him for them either. No one is perfect. Everyone makes mistakes. I did it when I swung the vote way from Wilson to Creccio and cemented the latters death when he began to act suspiciously, rather than follow my initial judgments and trust my gut against Wilson. I personally do not think BB deserves to die just yet. I would rather see players who are avoiding the spotlight or just inactive altogether be killed in order to encourage more people to participate. With that being said, Honey's PM to me was suspicious, yes, but that doesn't mean he deserves death either. I would rather him not have role claimed to me because it feels like I unintentionally bullied it out of him for advocating his death, when that was no my intention at all. I just wanted him to become active in the thread to show everyone and give up what little suspicions he has despite his difficulty following the game so far. By him blindly role claiming to me like that he put himself in a lot more danger than necessary, assuming that I was evil and he was a role that they would want to be eliminated fast. I have decided that I am perfectly okay with the deaths of Dowanx and Zed. The former has been MIA for awhile now and before disappearing has admitted to me that he often logs out of the forums so he can view the thread as a guest; this is a practice that I am vehemently against and I feel should be punished on principle alone. So Dowanx, if you are reading this I ask that you please log on and begin sharing some of the information you have gathered or any ideas you have in regards to who might be evil. As for Zed he has been gone for a rather long time, and first game or not, he is of no use to us alive or dead. Better that a loyal player who can't even vote anyway be killed rather than one who is active enough to help us lynch the traitors. I am also suspicious of Alfa at the moment and would not mind his death as he seems inclined to stay out of this game.
  4. After voting for Honey he has approached me in PM, explaining his absence and revealing his role. It's possible that he's a traitor trying to weasel himself out of an early assassination, but I'm willing to hold of on advocating his execution so long as he promises to begin involving himself more heavily in the thread. I am also pending the response to a pretty important question, so depending on his answer I may switch my Mistborn vote back to him. I've been putting this off for a bit, but I am going to call out Dowanx on the grounds that while you provided me useful information on N1, you have been hardly as helpful since then, and looking back you seemed to be pushing me to have a certain player killed. I now have reason to trust said player so I think it's possible that you were trying to use me to take out a fairly important role. I would like to hear your thoughts on everything that has transpired these past couple cycles, as well as if you have discovered anything else of importance. I also do not like how quickly some people joined in on the vote against Honey Badger; I have been suspicious of Spaghetti since Day 1 (it seems to me that she's trying to seem useful with all of her vote tallies and quick links without contributing much to the game itself), so that makes me question having him killed quite a bit. I am also a bit suspicious of Alfa because they're play style is a bit reflective of how they were in MR9 (where they were evil). I have seen him view the thread multiple times without posting; I would like to hear people's opinions on him and if he has been active in PMs. Kandra Vote Tally (5) Bridge Boy: Adavantos (1), Paranoid King (2), Elbereth (2), Lopen (1), Spaghetii (1) (7) Adavantos: Orlok (1), Kipper (1), Clanky (1), Kaid (1), Arraenae (1), Steph (1), Bridge Boy (1) (1) Alvron: little wilson (1), (1) Kaid: Hellscythe (1), Elbereth (1), Paranoid King (1), (1) Stink: Stink (1) Mistborn Vote Tally (2) No One: Adavantos (1), phattermer (1), Clanky (1) (1) Phattmer: Orlok (1) (1) Adavantos: little wilson (1) (1) Kaid: Hellscythe (1), (3) Honey Badger: Araris (1), Adavantos (2), Arraenae (1), Spaghetti (1) (1) Dowanx: Adavantos (3)
  5. In that case, I would vote that The Honey Badger be assassinated tonight because he is the only player whom I have seen online who has not posted or whom I have heard about participating in personal messages. After him, I would go for either Kaid or Alfa. Mistborn Vote Tally (2) No One: Adavantos (1), phattermer (1), Clanky (1) (1) Phattmer: Orlok (1) (1) Adavantos: little wilson (1) (1) Kaid: Hellscythe (1), (2) Honey Badger: Araris (1), Adavantos (2),
  6. Sigh; well, I give up with that. I just wasted a lot of time trying to fix all the quotes, but because of the fact that you cannot quote posts from a thread that has been locked, it's impossible. Anyway, I have updated my above post. Sorry that the quotes are all funky. Those are all the reasons why I think the Kandra should scan Bridge Boy because of all the infinitely more interesting information it can provide us once we know his alignment. Also, here is the up to date tallies. Kandra Vote Tally (3) Bridge Boy: Adavantos (1), Paranoid King (2), Elbereth (2), (7) Adavantos: Orlok (1), Kipper (1), Clanky (1), Kaid (1), Arraenae (1), Steph (1), Bridge Boy (1) (1) Alvron: little wilson (1), (1) Kaid: Hellscythe (1), Elbereth (1), Paranoid King (1), (1) Stink: Stink (1) Mistborn Vote Tally (3) No One: Adavantos (1), phattermer (1), Clanky (1) (1) Phattmer: Orlok (1) (1) Adavantos: little wilson (1) (1) Kaid: Hellscythe (1), (1) Honey Badger: Araris (1),
  7. DUE TO BEING UNABLE TO QUOTE POSTS FROM A LOCK THREAD, PLEASE DISREGARD THE NAMES AND TIME STAMPS FOR THE QUOTES BELOW. DESCRIPTIONS SHALL BE PROVIDED FOR CONTEXT. Alvron's vote on Wyrm. Bridge Boy responds to Alvron's joke. Wilson confronts Bridge Boy. Bridge Boy responds. Underline mine. I am of the impression that Bridge Boy jumped the gun trying to get a lynch started on a high priority target for them and Wilson came in thread to point out that he was misinterpreting the joke and get him to stop drawing so much attention to himself in a way that might clear her as good to observers. Mail's response to the situation. Bridge Boy's response to Mail. HI's response to Bridge Boy. To me this seems like Bridge Boy is trying sow doubt about the Hemalurgists alignments; if he is indeed a Traitor, I highly suspect his motive in this is to misdirect the crew and thus they have no Hemalurgists. Bort casts the first vote against BB... BB reacts to Bort's vote. To me it seems like he is desperately trying to get suspicion off of him, but does it in a way that raises even more questions. Also jumps around with his voting with little or no explanation (none for his vote against me). Araris responding to BB's vote on me. Me responding to BB's vote on me. Mail's vote against BB. Stink's vote against BB. Total of two reactionary votes from Araris myself, accompanied by two back to back votes against BB two hours later, one of whom (Mail) is a confirmed Loyalist. At this point his lynch is solidified. Though Wilson does suggest a Kandra scan us, she also talks down Bridge Boy's actions as if he should know better. I am inclined to believe that given the large number of votes on him at the time, if he truly were good she would have had no reason to get involved by placing a vote on Shallan. Kipper's vote against Shallan. Bort's vote against Shallan; the tide has officially shifted thanks to Wilson's tactical placement of a vote on a player who had already received one. Underline mine. We still don't have a good idea of whether or not the Feruchemist manipulation to Shallan was because Bridge Boy was evil or not. Hence why we NEED him to be scanned. If he turns out to be evil than it is more likely the Feruchemist who manipulated the vote is evil too. Bridge Boy tries to imply that no discussion is necessary on the thread at night - an eliminator trying to kill conversation? General consensus did NOT say that people did not think BB was a traitor or else he wouldn't have collected so many votes. Knowing that Wilson was evil this all seems like a forced excuse to draw suspicion away from him. Also note that from a traitor's perspective it would be smart to mislead others in regards to other traitor's alignments. She even states that its very likely traitors wouldn't intervene unless one of them was on the line, which she did indeed intervene by creating a third option. Post from Lopen, underline mine. I'm under the same impression he was trying to slip under the radar. Though Bort here was one of the people on the lynch train I agree with the conclusion that it's possible BB was a Traitor who Wilson was trying to save. Kas suggests BB is scanned for being a "lynchpin in this web of connections" - could be a possible reason he was targeted. Post from Bridge Boy. Note the white text; this is right after I say that players need to put real reasons for why they are absent in blue text so that I know it isn't a lie / exaggeration and I don't need to analyze it. To me it seems like he's trying to antagonize my perfectly logical reasoning, which doesn't seem very loyal to me. As I have said before, I don't buy this "I am / was an idiot" speech. It seems like he's trying too hard to defend himself and appeal to the good nature of people. Bridge Boy in response to Kipper's vote against Wilson. First to suggest that we leave Wilson be and let her be attacked by a Mistborn. Given that its now been confirmed she was night immune, I am suspicious that he was aware of this and was trying to delay her death another cycle. Now that Wilson has been proven a Traitor Voidbringer, that means it is very likely that all other Voidbringers are loyal as it would likely be too strong for the Traitors to have multiple night immunities. Therefore suggesting that we kill all the other Voidbringers too is infinitely more beneficial to the traitors than it is the crew, especially since that's the primary reason I have not been killed yet and obviously they want me dead.
  8. Just saying, I was highly suspicious of Wilson since D1 and convinced of her guilt D2 but only backed down because she made me feel guilty about the way I confronted her. Anyway, I'm in the process of building my case against Bridge Boy. After reviewing the D1 thread alone - taking note of the interactions between him and Wilson - I am considerably more suspicious of him... so yeah. Stand by for that.
  9. It's not that bit, it's how you've reacted - or in this case, your lack of reaction - in people asking for you to be scanned. Orlok and I welcomed it with open arms but you have just ignored it. Coupled with a Kandra vote against me, when I'm already vastly in the lead, it seems more like you're trying to avoid arguing against you being scanned while still making sure you aren't.
  10. That's the exact point of it, Bridge Boy. Of course the Kandra and Mistborn are going to do whatever they decide is best, but this is another means to instigate discussion among the entire crew to see what people's opinions are when we already have a confirmed Traitor in the process of getting lynched. It is also more information that we have to analyze of one another, which is the bane of all Traitor's existence. Therefore it is more likely that the people who dismiss it (like yourself and Stink) or ignore it out right (the players who have not made their opinions known) are Traitors. Right now you are exhibiting several red flags for me. Given the impression you left on me in QF10 when I was evil and you were good, I expect a lot better from you; I personally do not buy the "I was an idiot" speech, let alone that you don't see why these votes are helpful to the crew. EDIT: Ninja'd by PK EDIT2: To the three Feruchemists, in order to ensure that none of you attempt to manipulate the same vote, here are the votes I ask for you to manipulate: Feruchemist 1, please change Kipper's vote to your designated target. Feruchemist 2, please change Clanky's vote to your designated target. Feruchemist 3, please change Kaid's vote to your designated target. In doing this the entire crew will be able to see that we have at least three Feruchemists, and with this information revealed we can begin discussing the implications of said information. If one or more of you fails to do this, it goes without saying that I will become highly suspicious of you.
  11. Personally I do not think Kaid is worth a scan right now. All it does is tell us if he is good or evil. I would much prefer a player who has been more intimately involved in the game or at least has enough connections to other players that knowing their alignment would give us more leads to pursue, like the aforementioned Bridge Boy on the grounds that Wilson may have been trying to wrestle the lynch away from him. EDIT: Also, unless another Kandra has scanned Alvron, he has not yet been checked. According to him they checked Wilson N1 and then went to check Kas N2. The only reason the Kandra approached him is because they believe Alvron and Wilson would not be put on a team together, which I am very apprehensive about.
  12. I definitely wouldn't classify myself as experienced. So far there have been only two games that I have lasted longer than three cycles; my first - in which I was absolutely lost because I was brand new and I got sent on a mission to Zimbabwe before the halfway mark, leaving me inactive until I was eventually lynched - and the QF that just passed where I was evil and survived until the end. Personally I don't count LG14 or MR9 because in both cases I was killed extremely early and before I could do anything of significance. So really, in terms of experience I only have one games worth, though I guess I did learn quite a bit simply observing the others from the dead docs. Anyway, the reason I haven't died yet is either because one of the few players I trusted with my role are actually evil or because the Traitors figured out what I was trying to accomplish since Day 1. Given that we now know Wilson is on their team I would not be surprised if she was the one that figured it out. I was wondering if anyone was going to bring either of these points up. I decided not to myself because the argument wouldn't mean anything coming from me, as people would likely only read it as me trying to avoid a scan because I am actually evil; I just don't agree with it because I know it's a waste of another 96 hours in which we could actually figure out if someone else is evil. But if it gives player's a peace of mind then I support it. Personally I am very irritated that they killed Kas for two reasons: first, because this entire game he has been avoiding learning anything of use and thus was no threat to the traitors, and two, I was informed that he was being scanned last night which would have told me if I could share all my information with him like I wanted to - and almost did - before I was guaranteed an Elantrian's protection last night. I am of the mindset that in games like this there are no coincidences. I believe that either Alvron (or the Kandra who claimed to him) are lying, or that Alvron told someone other than me that Kas was being scanned and for that reason the Traitors decided to attack him as a confirmed Loyalist!Kas would actually be dangerous to the Traitors. I also agree that it's very likely one of the people who called for me to be scanned is evil as well, though I don't think its Orlok due to how often he has publicly opposed me. I am more inclined to believe a Traitor would be among the player's who try to implicate me by less aggresive means. EDITED FOR VOTE TALLIES Lynch Vote Tally (14) Wilson: Kipper (1), Adavantos (1), Alvron (1), Bridge Boy (1), Ripple (1), Elkanah (1), Paranoid King (1), Phattmer (1), Lopen (1), Arraenae (1), Steph (1), Orlok (1), Clanky (1), Kaid (1), (1) Kaid: Hellscythe (1), Kandra Vote Tally (1) Bridge Boy: Adavantos (1) (6) Adavantos: Orlok (1), Kipper (1), Clanky (1), Kaid (1), Arraenae (1), Steph (1) (1) Alvron: little wilson (1), (2) Kaid: Hellscythe (1), Elbereth (1), Mistborn Vote Tally (3) No One: Adavantos (1), phattermer (1), Clanky (1) (1) Phattmer: Orlok (1) (1) Adavantos: little wilson (1) (1) Kaid: Hellscythe (1), (1) Honey Badger: Araris (1),
  13. Well Araris, after the death of polking there are only three players that have not yet posted in thread; Zed (this is his first game), Dowanx (has been active in PMs) and Honey Badger (neither new nor active in PMs), so that really only leaves Honey. However he has been inactive in MR9 as well so its possible that he's got real life things going on, which makes me apprehensive about advocating his execution before he has the chance to participate. However if you think that's best than I can chalk you up for a vote against him. Just let me know.
  14. I'm counting her vote in the tally because it's something worth analyzing. She had some kind of ulterior motive when doing it, whether it be to cast suspicion on two loyalists or use reverse psychology to make everyone think those two players are harmless. Personally I am still leaning towards Alvron being a traitor as well, but we won't know that for sure until he is scanned, if there even is another Kandra out there. Besides, traitor or not, is it really democracy if we exclude a person's ability to vote, evil or not?
  15. Lynch Vote Tally (12) Wilson: Kipper (1), Adavantos (1), Alvron (1), Bridge Boy (1), Ripple (1), Elkanah (1), Paranoid King (1), Phattmer (1), Lopen (1), Arraenae (1), Steph (1), Orlok (1) Kandra Vote Tally (1) Bridge Boy: Adavantos (1) (2) Adavantos: Orlok (1), Kipper (1) (1) Alvron: little wilson (1), Mistborn Vote Tally (1) No One: Adavantos (1) (1) Phattmer: Orlok (1) (1) Adavantos: little wilson (1) At this point it's obvious she's trying to play mind games with us, if not me in particular given my reservations about Alvron. So just because she voted for me to be killed and Alvron to be scanned doesn't mean neither of us are evil. It also doesn't mean that either of us are good. I do think that Alvron is worth getting scanned sooner rather than later, as I see no reason why having both him and Wilson on the traitor team together is unbalanced; especially in a game with a role that can scan player's alignments, as they were both very likely to be scanned early on anyway.
  16. It's not being a mayor, Orlok, it's being a proactive player. If we don't make an effort to prove if someone is lying about something as simple as a role what's to keep the traitors from getting away with lying about anything? I was given a lead and I am pursuing it, just as anyone else should if provided with their own. What would you do if three players claimed to be the same role? Especially when one of them has been in the lime light consistently and could very well be evil? And as I've stated before, I believe in democracy. Whether or not we can trust each other we still need to make decisions as a whole, not as individuals. Just because I don't think the Mistborn killing a player until proven guilty is a good idea doesn't mean everyone else does. I want people to voice their opinions and for decisions to be made based on a majority vote, not just because I have information that others don't.
  17. As I have previously stated, besides asking Creccio to kill a specific player who at the time I was highly suspicious of (and still am), I have not ordered any Mistborn to do anything except to kill Wilson last night after Alvron approached me about her scanning evil. Given the nature of the Mistborn's reveal to me I have trusted them 100% from the beginning, especially now that they have proven themselves by attacking polking after our discussion of inactive players. Obviously said player cannot come to my defense on this without endangering themselves, but besides confronting you when I had reason to believe you were a Traitor Feruchemist or when I bribed Mail's role from STINK, I have not made an effort to obtain any information. All other roles I have learned have been offered to me of their own free will for one reason or another. I have been especially careful not to turn this into a Mayor game because I personally find them very distasteful. This is the exact reason I have proposed that we decide as a group who gets scanned by the Kandra and who gets killed by the Mistborn, as it allows everyone to voice their opinions and gives people the opportunity to defend themselves just as much as they could for a lynch. Personally I can't help but feel that you're intentionally twisting any of the things I've said or done to cast doubt on me, but that is neither here nor there. I understand why you are doing it as I would be doing it too in your shoes, because in my opinion every player's actions need to be examined at every angle possible, but I think you're exaggerating the amount of information and control I have. That being said, I welcome criticism and character statements from anyone and everyone. If you think I have been behaving in a way that is unfair or unfun for the game, please say so and point out what exactly I did so I can cease and desist. I am of the mindset that I have only done what every other player would do if put in the position I was; utilize what assets and information I have for the good of the crew as a whole. EDITED FOR MORE INFO Also I ask that for this round, at least ten players total keep their vote on Wilson. I have received 3 Loyalist Feruchemist claims and so far I know the identities of each person who manipulated the votes so far. Since I have never seen more than one used at once I have asked that the three claimed Feruchemists change a single vote to a unique, pre-specified target, that way I can prove if one of them is lying and if so question them further. Before the third Feruchemist revealed I was willing to believe that the crew received two and the traitors none, so what that means to me is either one of them is evil or there is a fourth traitor Feruchemist hiding out here, which until now I have no reason to believe. It is far more likely that one of them is lying and if not one of them is evil. By having ten votes on Wilson they will be able to use their ability without affecting the lynch. Lynch Vote Tally (11) Wilson: Kipper (1), Adavantos (1), Alvron (1), Bridge Boy (1), Ripple (1), Elkanah (1), Paranoid King (1), Phattmer (1), Lopen (1), Arraenae (1), Steph (1), Kandra Vote Tally (1) Bridge Boy: Adavantos (1) (1) Adavantos: Orlok (1) Mistborn Vote Tally (1) No One: Adavantos (1) (1) Phattmer: Orlok (1)
  18. I don't necessarily think that we need to take our votes off of Wilson to poke at other people; instead, this is what I suggest: every player posts who they think the Kandra should scan tonight in Orange and who the Mistborn should attack in Purple. I am a believer in democracy and I think that if we implement this practice into this game we will be able to perpetuate discussion even with the lynch already decided. Keep in mind that like the lynch each vote should be accompanied by at least a single sentence explaining why you think that person warrants to be scanned or killed. These are my votes. I vote that the Kandra scan Bridge Boy so that I can have a peace of mind that Wilson was not trying to get him off the chopping block and if proven innocent I can begin to examine those who called for his death. Depending on the outcome of that scan (which I strongly suspect will end up Innocent) I will be suggesting that Elkanah be scanned next (unless new, more solid suspicions arise). I vote that the Mistborn kills No One as especially after the death of our Loyalist Forger I am convinced that blindly attacking people does far more harm than it does good. I think it is best for us to wait until the 5th Cycle before lurkers begin to be targeted as that should provide plenty of time for those who have not participated much so far to become more involved in the game or at least explain themselves. Kandra Vote Tally (1) Bridge Boy: Adavantos (1) Mistborn Vote Tally (1) No One: Adavantos (1) EDITED TO ADD MORE EXPLANATION
  19. @Orlok: keep in mind that I have not directed anyone let alone asked anyone for information, I have only made suggestions of what I think is best and never demanded anyone tell me their role. Do I think it was wise for so many people to come to me within the first two turns? NoI don't, but it happened even though I never asked for or wanted that responsibility. I still give everyone the freedom of choice. All I am doing is providing advice. In regards to the bit with the Mistborn, killing inactive was their idea. He by no means had to listen to me about the order I think would have been best let alone needs to listen to me on this. I only made a suggestion in thread that would get more people to talk, which is the real reason I did it. It is impossible to catch a traitor in their lies if they never speak up. If everyone talks it will be much easier to determine who among us has ulterior motives. EDITED TO ADD additionally I have not been controlling information. Yes, once I learn something I keep it to myself unless I highly suspect a person is evil and need to explain why to someone or I want to instigate a reaction out of a player I suspect, but I don't prevent them from sharing their role with anyone else. It is of my opinion that if someone trusts me enough to reveal their role outright than it is my responsibility to keep that between the two of us. If they want someone to know their role that is entirely up to them. I am not playing a mayor game by any means. I am not forcing people to do anything. I am simply doing what everyone should; being proactive in finding the traitors and making my opinions known to everyone so that if someone doesn't want to reveal to me they still receive ideas for them to consider. Also I should note that "threatening lurkers with the Mistborn" is the exact same thing as threatening them with the lynch, except perhaps more dangerous for them as it is only one player who has to decide their fate over the majority. Personally I think you are blowing my actions out of proportion but either way I'm glad to have someone who vocally opposes my actions.
  20. Another possibility I left out that I think should be considered. Alvron may also be a traitor and may be lying about being in contact with a Kandra; it is possible that the traitors assumed I would have the Kandra who claimed to me scan Wilson and out her anyway, so they decided to have one of their other members approach me to reveal her alignment so that I might trust them. When I asked Alvron the reasoning for why the Kandra would reveal to him and the results of the scan he said it's because the Kandra believed that the GM would not put him and Wilson on team evil together. Personally I think that is poor reasoning given the fact that alignments are supposed to be random and that Wyrm could have found a way to balance the game with them on a team together. Given he was one of the few players who volunteered for me to pass my information onto him in case I died, I am especially wary of this being true as I personally find that a suspicious thing to ask, especially as I yet had no reason to trust him.
