  1. PMs only last one turn, and I currently have none. I'm going to post the name of the player I'm using the pendant on at the very last minute of tonight so that everyone can see, in case I die. And honestly I don't want to be protected indefinitely stuff like that's pretty broken / anti-fun. EDIT: Vote counts as an action and I voted to save you I was originally planning on not participating so I could use both tonight, but yeah.
  2. At this point the elims have no choice but to attack me, and I have no choice but to use my Pendant instead of the safer bet (Priest Scan). If Elims don't attack me, then Warriors can protect me tomorrow too. They need to double tap me to get rid of me and the longer they keep me alive, the more chances I have of uncovering them. If they do attack me and the Warrior doesn't protect me, then yay for them. If they do and they get blocked I'll be a guaranteed dead-man tomorrow. Just in case the warriors choose not to defend me tonight, using my Jeskeri Pendant now is the only way I'm guaranteed to get a scan out.
  3. You revealing the pendant doesn't specifically interfere with anything, except that it increases how critical it is the elims attack me tonight to get rid of it completely. Otherwise I'll be able to pass it tomorrow.
  4. The biggest thing is that even without that knowledge, I tend to be more active than most and that immediately draws a target on my back. Anonymous or no, I doubt I would have lived long enough to make it worth it. Scanning you is one less scan on an already short list.
  5. I get where you're coming from Bort. But I tend to assume I operate on a 3-night lifespan, max. My goal is finding the evil people not proving myself. In my opinion, sniffing out the elims is the surest way to prove I'm good.
  6. Way I see it, if Bort was Jeskeri, he wouldn't try to throw me under the bus. His entire team would already know my role and kill me tonight regardless.
  7. What Bort wanted me to do was scan him to confirm my role. I tried explaining why that's a bad idea, but he insisted. Why is it a bad idea? Let's say I lied and I'm not a Korathi Priest, but a Jeskeri. In this scenario I know Bort's faction (Citizen of Arelon). Therefore in order to keep up my lie I only need to guess one thing; is Bort a Derethi Convert or not. Percentage chance of him being a Convert at the start is incredibly low, so if I were lying I'd just say he's not. Only way I get caught in this scenario is if Bort is a Convert. What did I want to do? Get as many Seon holders as possible to contact me and decide which of them is the most suspicious and scan them. In games with specific items/roles that allow for PMs, the elims tend to have one in order to gather information and manipulate the village behind the scenes. If it turned out that they were village, then great! I can say in thread "Hey player with Aon Teo, please send me a PM again" and then inform them of the scan. If they're revealed to be an eliminator I can say "Hey player with Aon Opa, please send me a PM again" and tell them I found an elim, in order to keep my identity a secret and keep them lynched. Instead I get essentially outed due to villager paranoia, and worse off, that player was about to die. Meaning everything I planned was for nothing. So yeah. Of course I'm going to interfere with that lynch.
  8. I was actually planning on a full role claim before Kidpen just revealed another critical piece of information This is why you should never offer free information, folks My name is Dio Brando and I am a Korathi Priest with a Jeskeri Pendant. Now that that's out in the open, who wants to know what would have been my master plan?
  9. Because he wouldn't have tried throwing me under the bus in the end if he was. That would practically guarantee my innocence, and would be a completely pointless train of thought since he already knew my role and how pertinent it is I get killed ASAP.
  10. I practically know for a fact Bort's not an elim, Arin. Whereas with Rand I had no idea and saw a couple signs that warranted investigation. Main reason I chose to pursue him over you is that there was more posts from him to work with. If you want to prove to me (or anyone) that you're village, I would suggest trying to solve what happened rather than calling the lynch dumb at least one of those things is productive.
  11. Sorry Rand EDIT: Oh yeah. One of the Seon Holders asked me to inform the thread that they're looking for PM requests. Just post in thread that you're interested in chatting, and they'll get to you. First come first serve.
  12. I'm coming from the same place you are. I don't like the idea of lynching a village rand so early but it's a better risk than Bort, and unfortunately both Eternum and rand deal with the issue of later timezones and thus can't defend themselves right now. Also I forgot to remove Wilson's vote from HB on the previous tally so you'll need to do that to fix it. @Devotary of Spontaneity and @Kidpen, any chance of you two changing your votes? I see y'all online. This said I'm about to go to bed. Got work early in the A.M.
  13. In retrospect, Eternum's post is really eh but, like, it's his only (real) one so I'm not sure how much can be gleaned from it. Honestly this post is the one that makes me want to vote for Rand, practically alone. He's the only player that's mentioned pinch-hitters (that I could find in a quick ctrl+f of all pages) and he emphasizes it at a point where Honey Badger is tied for 3 votes with Bort. Then he kicks the lynch in Bort's direction without any real analysis or reasoning. Not a huge fan of "feels off." Whether or not Honey Badger is an elim with Rand, I think his reasoning for advocating he lived is skewed in the direction of an eliminators mindset. If Rand is Evil and HB is Good, then he potentially nets some FeelsGoodMan for letting a Pinch Hitter take over for a villager, while simultaneously helping remove a villager that's been active for a turn already. On the other hand, if HB is Jeskeri with Rand, he gains just as much if not more by making this play as it allows him to preserve an inactive teammate long enough to get replaced. Compare that to Eternum who discourages the vote on HB because it nets us little information (which is a significantly more viable reason, in my opinion) and I feel less confident in Rand's Citizenship than I do Eternum. So, Rand. @TheMightyLopen, @Seonid, @little wilson, @TheYoungPyromancer, and anyone else who's around, want to join me? (7) Bort: Elenion, Eternum, Araris Valerian, Randuir, Arinian, Devotary of Spontaneity, Kidpen, Straw, (4) Eternum: TheMightyLopen, TheYoungPyromancer, little wilson, Seonid, (3) The Honey Badger: Little Wilson, Hemalurgic_Headshot, Mraize, (1) Araris Valerian: A Joe in the Bush, (1) Straw: Stink, (1) randuir: Amanuensis,
  14. He made one post, so that's likely why you don't remember anything. That said, where's it coming from? Couldn't tell you. I don't really want it either, tbh. I'm debating between Rand and Arin right now. Most likely going to vote for Rand, sifting through his posts now so I can provide reasoning.
  15. Formative Zone: Too Early to Tell, A.K.A. Could Go Either Way. Not enough pressure at this stage in the game for eliminators to take risk. If an elim is present within this group, it will likely not be obvious. Significant analysis required. Elenion Eternum Araris Valerian Sweet Spot: These are the votes where decisions tend to be made and the masses tend to be swayed. Without villagers actively testing the water with counter-wagons, this is the safest place for an eliminator to vote in order to continuously encourage a pile-up. Randuir Arinian Devotary of Spontaneity The Clinchers: Like the players in the Formative Zone, these votes net minimal information. More often than not people in this group will be villagers, due to a lack of info and the inability to coordinate with allies. Elims favor caution and will more likely shy away from risking their necks like this for nothing. Kidpen Straw I'm going to focus on the middle three.
  16. (8) Bort: Elenion, Eternum, Araris Valerian, Randuir, Arinian, Devotary of Spontaneity, Kidpen, Straw, (3) The Honey Badger: Little Wilson, Hemalurgic_Headshot, Mraize, (2) Eternum: TheMightyLopen, TheYoungPyromancer, (1) Araris Valerian: A Joe in the Bush, (1) Straw: Stink, (1) A Joe In the Bush: Steeldancer,
  17. In order to answer your questions I'd need to explain a lot and give up any remaining semblance of strategy
  18. (8) Bort: Elenion, Eternum, Araris Valerian, Randuir, Arinian, Devotary of Spontaneity, Kidpen, Straw, (3) The Honey Badger: Little Wilson, Hemalurgic_Headshot, Mraize, (1) Kidpen: TheYoungPyromancer, (1) Araris Valerian: A Joe in the Bush, (1) Steeldancer: TheMightyLopen, (1) Straw: Stink, (1) A Joe In the Bush: Steelrunner, Chances are one of the 8 people voting for Bort are an elim. If you're looking for a new vote I'd chose the one you're most suspicious among them, @TheMightyLopen.
  19. Something along those lines. Doesn't matter what I am anymore, what matters is Bort is village and this lynch needs to change
  20. There'd be no reason to be reluctant about that.
  21. If he was a Jeskeri, he'd have informed the doc my role and thus have no need to make it publicly obvious that it's something confirmable, which just about guarantees my death tonight.
  22. The fact that he even accused me means he's a villager who's made a very bad mistake.
  23. No offense intended you just set off a red flag, but I'll give you a benefit of the doubt.
