Wait. So you're saying you got the Twins from the Aviary Sabotage? If so then Stick is confirmed evil, no? ED1T: Hm. Probably not, actually. While only 3 birds can be loaned per cycle, the rules don't specify whether only 3 Aviar will be randomly handed out by the Aviary's sabotage. @Randuir / @Young Bard, can either of you tell me if more than 3 players can have an Aviar in this situation?
-
I missed these two posts so I'm going to go ahead and respond to them now. If I'm not mistaken, only 1 of each Aviar can exist at a time, yes? I'll go ahead and tell everyone that I also got one of the Aviar from the Sabotaged Aviary, since it was impossible for me to put an order in when I didn't even get online until this cycle. Stick, if you got the Twins, please go ahead and send me a PM. If not, then if a player has received a PM this turn, you may want to put their name forward since it's extremely likely that player is the Saboteur. Okay so you requested an Aviar on D2? Interesting.
-
Unfortunately she can't really since she's in the hospital, but I believe it. What kind of bird did you get after the Aviary was sabotaged?
-
Thanks Striker. I'm glad I'm still alive despite your voting me no hard feelings though. I might have done the same thing had I been in your shoes. At this point our best chance of winning is finding the elim!Engineer immediately. As such, I'm going to do my best to pin down people's action claims / alibis. @xinoehp512: hasn't posted once. Judging from the last game I played with him, he probably hasn't put any orders in either. Really hoping he's not a village!Engineer. @Lumgol: where are you at? You posted once, IIRC. Did you use an action D1 or D2? @StrikerEZ: for sure confirmed not to sabotage D1. Do you still have your bird, or did it return before the Aviary was sabotaged? Also who have you PM'd? @Ventyl: asked for a pinch hitter, so I'm guessing they haven't put actions in. Probably okay, but if you're an Engineer, vent, please us your ability tonight to repair the Bridge. @MrakeDarshall: claimed to request the mind-shrouding bird. Did you get it, and did it return? Or do you still have it? @Devotary of Spontaneity: hasn't suggested any kind of actions taken AFAIK, and is one of my top candidates for elim!Engineer. Do you have any information you can share that might help me worry less about your alignment? @Mark IV: hey buddy, what's going on? If you're a village!Engineer we really need you to come back and start repairing. @shanerockes: I don't think we've ever played before. You said you're not good at reading people, but I'd like to ask you your thoughts on Devotary and Stick. At the moment I'm thinking they're better votes than Burnt. @_Stick_: I'll be analyzing your posts soon, so be on the lookout for that. There's a good chance I'll be voting for you today. @Alvron: Can you clarify for me which times you'll be online? I want to have at least ten posts of back and forth with you to help me figure out your alignment. Araris Valerian: In the hospital so not really worth tagging. Doesn't rule him out as a regular elim, but very likely not the elim!Engineer. @Burnt Spaghetti: You claimed to get a bird on D1, but not one with a power. Which one did you request? ¡IMPORTANT! If you're a village!Engineer who has already half-repaired a ship part, repair the same part again today. If you're a village!Engineer who hasn't repaired a part at all, please start today with the Bridge.

I never like when things are this quiet, but it's especially bad when the village is on the brink of losing. I am willing to take the blame for a good amount of this, and will do my best to get things moving productively going forward. For anyone who's posted anonymous messages so far, I encourage that you continue to do so and ask if you're willing to share your identities with the thread. If I'm not mistaken, it counts as an action, which would make you cleared of being a saboteur. I've recuperated from my time away from home now and will be rereading the first two days again to see what I can glean. Expect a massive wall or two coming within the next few hours.

Okay. I think I'm caught up, but honestly still need time to process everything, and I would probably benefit from a 2nd read through of the last two days events when I'm less physically and mentally exhausted. From what I understand, the elims are 3 cycles from winning already. Unless our village Engineers succeed in reparing a ship part, our only hope is to get all 3 of our lynches right. Glancing quickly at the player list, I figure the elims are among this group: Mrake Devotary Mark Stick Lopen Alvron Araris Burnt Mrake and Burnt look semi good for the tie vote yesterday, since I would expect teammates to save one of them if they were evil. However, my current theory is Alvron and Burnt are teammates, with Alvron encouraging Burnt to vote for a 3rd person (Ax) to increase the likelihood of her survival without one of her allies getting dragged down with her. I have other reasons for suspecting Burnt, so if it seems like I'm jumping to a conclusion, that's why. I'll explain the reasoning for my Burnt suspicions at a later time, when I'm better rested / have access to my computer again. My gut is screaming Mark is evil but I'm trying to reign that in until I can rationalize why. I cant remember if he posted more than his initial d1 post tho, which may be a factor in where I lean on him. Lopen's expression of suspicion on Burnt could be distancing, and I wouldn't be surprised if Burnt stacked her vote on top of Lopen's intentionally, since most people would read it as very unlikely for a pair of elims to vote on the same player without any villagers for cover. Devotary and Araris are mostly on that list because neither have done anything remarkably village. Alvron too, really, but him even less so, imo. Stick is simultaneously giving me vibes from the last game we were evil together, and vibes that I wouldn't expect to come from her as an elim. I'll look into this more later this turn. The rest of us are probably okay.

I'm alive. Going to start reading from D1 now.

I'll play as Saludan Leiken (Sal for short), a Willshaper Worldhopper from Roshar. ED1TING IN RP FROM MR11: THREE AND A HALF YEARS LATER Rain pattered on dark glass, the collective moisture distorting the shadow of a face cast upon it. Where beams of light shined through the torrential darkness, scenes of chaos were briefly revealed. Autos carrying people and equipment, engineers sprinting with machine parts, a tall man wearing a wide-brimmed hat shouting from the top of a makeshift tower. All of them were gathered here for one purpose. One mission. A mission centered on the immense airship that loomed above them all. The best of the best. The Northern Wind. And Saludan Leiken would be its Captain.

I'm glad you still had a good time despite me throwing you under the bus like that! Hopefully people will be more reluctant about following "cop" roles in the future you were 100% right that turn and had I been village, I would have gone for the self-admitted kandra, first
-
I find myself agreeing with many of the sentiments laid out in this thread, but one thing I want to add is how grateful I am to have gotten the chance to get to know so many players. In the past I haven't really interacted much with Fifth, Devotary, Fura, or Lum, but I really enjoyed seeing them play and conversing with them outside of the thread! I managed to even learn a few new things about Araris, who I've always imagined as an ephemeral shadow in the vague shape of a pooh bear. And, of course, I want to praise Ventyl again for being the legend that he is. Such a welcome addition to our crew and I really hope to see him in more games! (Also sorry for betraying you and everything you and Magestar should exchange stories some day). ED1T: Oh, and of course, thanks for your hard work Stick, Snip and Coop! Without you three we wouldn't have been able to win the game! ED2T: And especially thank @Snipexefor this glorious piece of art! Make sure to upvote his next post you see if you like it!
-
You at least guessed one teammate or did you?
-
Cause it was fun ED1T: More serious answer was I wanted to see if Aonar would should Rath or not. If he did, it would have gotten me lynched sooner, but I would have been okay with that because the village would only lose out on one lynch rather than two. Also just want to let everyone know that we are killing the Coinshot tonight, so maybe you guys should vote on who he shoots or something, if you're willing to make the risk
-
Can't blame a rebel for trying
-
Yes. Totally
-
OMG GUYS I'M SUCH AN INCREDIBLY DUMB, STUPID, IDIOT. I FORGOT I CHANGED MY SCAN TO ARARIS LAST MINUTE ON N1. OMGOMGOMG.
-
I just want to say I really appreciate how hard Rath is trying not to get lynched, despite his busyness. I know exactly how it feels being an eliminator trying to delay the inevitable. MR10 comes to mind, in which I was an eliminator with an extra kill and I promised to only target inactives if the village left me alone for a while. Were I actually a villager and not the kandra, I'd probably be considering removing me from the equation first in the off-chance I was lying... but I agree it's not very efficient, and I am thankful for those who are putting their trust in me. That said, I really am sorry this all came up in a time where you are busy, Rath. I hope there's no hard feelings.

As much fun as I know this is going to be, I've been slacking on my writing for a couple months now, and I'm only getting older, sooo. @Alvron can you change me to a spectator instead, please?

(2) Amandra: _Stick_, Rebelmaskal, (6) Rebelmaskal: Amandra, Fifth Scholar, Devotary of Spontaneity, Araris Valerian, Straw, Ventyl, @_Stick_ Rath has replied. Do you still want to vote for me?

I think the main thing about removing an eliminator over me is that I can get one more use out of alignment scanning ability. Is it necessary to win the game? Not even remotely. But it is a nice advantage. EDIT: Also, I resent being called a bad guy. I'm just doing Harmony's work. Would you call Sazed a bad guy?
-
I'm sorry, Rath. I didn't realize you weren't going to be around much. I sincerely promise it wasn't a factor. If you said it somewhere, I must have missed it. That said, I'm not entirely sure I understand your last paragraph.
-
I scanned Devotary N2 and Fifth last night, so they're clean. But yeah, that "jousting" comment in retrospect looks really bad. I could have probably used it as a piece of evidence to lynch him had I not needed to reveal like this.
-
Could have been distancing, could have been Xino hadn't visited the doc yet to tell his team his role. I remember Drake bringing up that it was a weird suggestion for Rath to make if he only knew his own role. None so far
-
On that subject, we should probably figure out who might be on Rath's team. Look over posts, interactions, etc, so the village has a say in who I scan tonight.
-
Now that the truth is out, I wanted to say that I've been very impressed by you this game. Even though we've been on opposing sides this whole time, it was a lot of fun working (and panicking) with you. Your instincts on me since D1 were pretty much right. I hope some day in the future we can be villagers together, or better yet, eliminators Insanely crazy, right!? And fun too. Even though circumstances seem to have conspired against me, it's still been a hoot. Honestly choosing the Coinshot as my successor is a bit too obvious. There's no way I'd do it. But if anyone is interested, feel free to PM me and make your case. Together we can make Elendel great again! ED1T: In retrospect, referencing Trump probably wasn't the best idea... ED2T: Oh right, vote tally. (2) Amandra: Araris Valerian, _Stick_, (3) Rebelmaskal: Amandra, Fifth Scholar, Devotary of Spontaneity,

Followed by a quiet day... Okay, so. I did not promise to protect Drake. Fifth asked if I were Village, who would I burn iron to protect (then mentioned Drake specifically), and I gave him an answer similar to "That would be the best call." It was a non-committal answer, and it was non-committal because I'm not actually a Lurcher. I'm sorry about lying about that, but at the time I believed it to make the most sense, because in actuality I'm the kandra. Some people may remember my post on D2 where I speculated on the kandra: As people can see, Fura and I weren't teammates. I didn't post this to try and weasel them out of the lynch. I posted it in case I needed to claim my true role later, and here we are. And while I know everyone's first extinct is "SERIAL KILLER! KILL IT WITH FIRE!", here's the thing. I'm not a Serial Killer. I'm an Agent of Harmony. All I want is peace, and sadly my God has told me to achieve that, I need to get all players on both sides of this conflict killed. For the Good of Elendel. Problem is, my only weapon is the lynch. I have been given the ability to help set people on the right course (see next paragraph), but otherwise I can't do any real harm. Likewise, the only weapon that can hurt me is the lynch, because as you have seen, the first part of my abilities is immunity from night kills. I did legitimately make the mistake of claiming Lurcher over Thug, but the reason I went with that option was in the off chance I was attacked twice. I wouldn't be able to explain surviving two times otherwise, so I dressed it up as me self-protecting. I had not anticipated being attacked N1, and especially not Sart saving Drake's life N2, but once that happened, I knew that the jig was practically up. So I prayed to Harmony that Sart was actually an elim that pulled a Reverse!WGG with hopes of riding on the credit of killing him until the endgame. Remember how I said I was given the ability to set people on the right course? While the night kill immunity is a passive ability, I also have the active ability to scan people's alignments. I shared my results from the first two nights with the Coinshot last night, the first of which is an eliminator. I was kinda hoping the Coinshot would kill him last night to help me prove my claim, but alas, they decided to hold back, presumably to wait for more information or proof. And before anyone asks, I feel the reason why I didn't come forward about this player's alignment should be obvious. I couldn't reveal this information without making my true nature known, so I needed to find legitimate proof first. Not to mention I wanted to see how that player would interact with others / vote with hopes of determining their allies. I don't know why I'm beating around the bush about it. That eliminator is Rath. After the events of D1, I pretty much chose him on a whim. I had a Village read of Drake so I found it odd how there were three players present at turnover who didn't act. I didn't suspect Fura at the time (see my posts around then, where I mentioned the possibility of TWTBW), and Devotary was just as much an unknown as Rath, so in the end it actually just came down to a coin flip. Heads Rath, Tails Devotary. I got heads. So naturally, when Rath ended up voting for Fura, I wholeheartedly believed she was innocent. I started to message PM contacts with hopes of getting them off the lynch, and even requested a Soother who claimed to me to take a vote off of Fura. Sadly it wasn't enough, and Rath got what he wanted. After that, I figured Devotary was a teammate that he saved and scanned her. She came back Village, which is why I started defending her D3. Since I trusted Drake + Ventyl and Fura had been lynched, I convinced myself that Sart's tunnel on Devotary was fabricated. When I started to put the pieces together and figured out he was the Lurcher who claimed to Drake, I became convinced of the reverse!WGG angle and decided my best shot at victory was going all in on him to prove myself. I was wrong, and here we are. I was also wrong about Fifth. Sorry Fifth. I scanned him last night, and he came back village too. I told this to the Coinshot when I claimed kandra last night, but historically when I'm a neutral or serial killer type role, I always side with the village when I realize I can no longer win the game. The best example of this is MR15, a game when I was a part of a third serial killer faction, the Jeskeri Mysteries Cultists. I was on a team with four other players, the first of which got lynched very early, the second went completely inactive, and the third was Meta who got killed by the eliminators on N2. When it was discovered in thread that I was a part of the SK team I begged them to let me help, and I did. I was considered an honorary villager that game for my part in the game going forward, and I would really appreciate the chance to do that again in this game. I understand if people are skeptical or wary. And I'd be lying if I said I don't still hope I can get a win out of this game. I'm going to be honest here because so far lies have gotten me nowhere, and at this point, I think the Village deserves to know. If you lynch me, I will die. But I also will get to choose any current living player and turn them into the new kandra. The new kandra does not have the same abilities as me - in fact, they will retain their original power, which is a big part of the reason why I've been trying to find out everyone's roles (so I can make the best, most informed decision). And if / when you do find and lynch them (or if the elims / Coinshot kill them), then they're dead for good. No more kandra. No more chances for me to win. So I guess it's up to you guys where things go from here. I would like to continue helping the village, and I would like to prove that by lynching an eliminator (Rath) today instead.
