When Leo heard that Catalan had received lashings for his, well, unbecoming conduct, as they put it, he winced. Not that he was particularly worried, but he recalled bits of Catalan's threats about feuding and tearing the University apart or something.
Just what I needed. First there's talk of Skindancers making folks go mad, now some high minded Noble is going to be hounding after me. Well, it sounds as if he'll be incapacitated for the next few Months. Maybe he'll just forget? Hm, probably wishful thinking. If I know Nobles, and I do, they're not likely to let something like this go so easily.
"YOU THERE! STOP!"
Leo froze in place. Suddenly remembering where he was. He'd been observing the Master Alchemist and a few other Students work. He looked up to see the Master Alchemist storming over to him.
"This is no place to get lost in thought! If you aren't going to pay attention, I suggest you go the Archives or somewhere you won't cause any large explosions with your carelessness!"
"Ah, I was just..." Leo began.
"You were just leaving is what you were doing!" the Master Alchemist barked, pointing to the door.
At that, Leo lowered his head and made his way out. I don't even know what I did wrong! I was just leaning against a barrel. What's the worst that could happen? Well, I think it's safe to say the coins were right about this one. Not the occupation for me.
Probably will be my last RP post for the Month. My current thoughts is that the lynch is slightly less effective at catching eliminators in this one, so making sure to get your elevations early is a top priority so we can start getting some information gathering abilities. I still think we should use the lynch to pressure players we're suspicious of, as roleblocks can certainly be useful in hampering activity for said players. For now though, I will put votes on...Rathmaskal and DeTess. Just to spread it out a bit, as I don't have any suspicions to vote on currently. Might change these if I have the time before the Month ends to do some solid analysis.
Btw, Coda, I'm perfectly fine with you voting on me right now, as not much has happened and so it's difficult to find justified reasons to vote on someone, but please make sure you don't use the feud as an excuse not to look for a real reason to vote for someone!
GM's, could we get a vote count?

Wow, yeah, Coda must have been really unlucky. Shine those shoes next time friend!
But for real, sorry about that. Didn't expect anyone would get higher than a public apology, let alone a 3-turn roleblock.
As for HH being sabotaged, while it would be an interesting strategy to hit one of their own Turn/Month 1, it would be taking resources away from them very early. I'd definitely lean village, but if he comes back to the land of the (mostly)sane, we can deal with it then. I'd rather not focus on it, since we don't have anything concrete to get from discussing it right now. I do think it's a bit dangerous for Skindancers to go after Nobles right away though, because I imagine a decent amount of them are staying at the Horse and Four(Vintish start there and Aturans have a 50/50 chance of starting there). Probably a long shot, but did anyone have contact with HH, and if so, know of anyone else he may have been in contact with?
Holy moly, that was quite a bit of posts last Month. Definitely want to go back through and comb the game discussion posts. Loving this activity though!
Another reminder to get your actions/lodging in early, just to be safe!

Catalan stifled a groan and curled his lips into a sneer. "You think to reprimand me? Me? My house is higher than yours could ever aspire to be. Our power rivals that of the highest of kings! You dare challenge us?" He laughed
He laughed coldly, a wicked grin plastered across his face. His cloak billowed in the wind, giving him a menacing appearance. "We are nobles, Leo. I give you this chance to apologize here, before an audience of your peers. Rescind your insulting cries for attention, and our houses may yet have peace."
He walked closer to Leo until the two of them were standing toe to toe. "Or shall we escalate this? Shall we duel, my good friend? Shall we tear apart the University with our feud? That sounds fun. Your choice, mate. Apologize, or our feud shall be one to last for generations. Our lives will be brief, passing flickers of light to be consumed in our bloody war. Or you can apologize. Plead for forgiveness, and I may yet forgive you."
He snatched Leo's coin out of the air and held it up. "I know you love obeying the Mighty Gods of Luck and Chance, so how about this? Heads, you grovel at my feet for forgiveness. Tails, we feud." He tossed the coin in the air.
So playing an arrogant prissy noble is a lot of fun. Also, Lopen, you don't have to actually flip for it. Just say it fell on whatever you want to do,
Leo looked up, surprised when his coin didn't come back down in his hand.
"Oh, you're still here." he said innocently. "Apologize? For...? Oh! The complaint! I see, well, if it's gonna be that or all of that bloody feud stuff, sure, sorry about that. Unfortunately, since the complaint has already been sent in, I can't really do anything about that. But, as a token of good faith and for the peace of our houses, keep the coin! I think I saw a nice little shoe shine stand just down the street a bit you can use it for. Now, if you don't mind, I need to decide on where I'm going to eat my evening meal."
Leo did a small bow, pulled another coin out of his shirt pocket, and began making his way down the street, mumbling to himself each time he flipped the coin.
"Now, I haven't eaten there, but it just looks dirty. Hm, yes, that one looked interesting...but then again, I do have a sensitive digestive system, that might not be the best idea. I've heard that one over there has some really nice soups. I am quite hungry though, soup probably wouldn't cut it. Well well, the coin does like this one, I suppose I could give it a shot..."

After the first person Cadici spoke to just looked at him funny, and walked away, Cadici felt a bit defeated.
I think it's time to check out the food options around here. He thought. After finding a cafeteria of sorts, Cadici ordered a plate of the most normal type of food he could find, and took a bit too loong to eat it. He needed to make this work.
Cadici knew if he wanted to succeed, he had to network. It was time to start networking. He found someone who was dressed in a rather droll selection of greys. He must have been here more to study than to party, so this could be the perfect person to start networking with.
Cadici approched this person and started to try to strike up a conversation. "Hey, I'm Cadici. Just got here a couple hours ago. I'm looking for the College of Arcane arts, so I can get more information about which field to pursue. Any idea which way to go"
The man gestured nonchalantly toward a building that very obviously looked like a place to practice arcane arts, and seemed to overall ignore cadici beyond that. But he didn't give up so easily. "So what are you studying here?"

So I'm still reading the rules to the game, After I see a few things happen at rollover, I hope to be able to put more thought into the game.

feel free to RP with me!
sorry Lopen I voted you, but you were one of the unvoted nobles and
"I hate nobles"
Perhaps I could make up for it by joining your club? Cad seems interested too.
"I hate nobles"
"I hate nobles," said Lord Silberfarben once again, testing his new motto, “Filthy, arrogant nobles.”
His empty table answered with a sort of gloomy silence that only could be properly created when a perfectly functional piece of furniture is unused.
Perhaps I should make new friends, he thought, Those two conversing over there seem friendly enough.
One of them was sitting with a bulged mouth, eating, the other was standing, probably waiting for him to finish chewing.
An interesting couple. The talkative one was obviously Edema Ruh, with lively and worn clothing, and an instrument slung over his back.
The chewy one was more interesting, dressed in formal greys and black, most likely not a noble, those wore their coins in their dresses, golden cloaks, and the such.
He hasty finished his still hot broth and stood up.
They seemed like they could be his friends, applied to their studies, and without coin to flaunt. He should ask them what they would choose for their studies.
Lord had settled, for now, a term as artificer and a bit of some other things. Perhaps they could do some study together next term, or this one.
Friends, so many new possibilities!
He wandered over to them and nodded his head to them.
Leo was shaken out of his inner monologue with himself about how he should approach others about his club idea by someone asking where the University was. It's kind of hard to miss, he thought, but pointed the fellow in the right direction. As Leo started to move on, the man continued questioning him. Why won't this guy leave me alone? I need to talk to people about my club! Leo stopped, then turned suddenly to the man. What am I thinking? This is my chance!
"Cadici, you say? Apologies, my name is Leo, and what I'm studying is hardly important! What the University offers is a chance to get to know important people! I mean, not to brag, but I'm sure you can tell I'm super rich. Anyways, if you're a student here as well, I'd like to invite you to my club! In fact, you could be the second in command! Which...well, it just means you'd be the first member to join. But still! A chance of a lifetime if you ask me!"
At this point in the conversation, Leo noticed someone else had wandered over. What luck! he thought. They might be lower class, but they're attending the University, so they can't be that bad.
"Hello there!" Leo exclaimed to the newcomer. "Might you have heard me discussing club members and couldn't wait to join?" He didn't let the man answer. "Oh, and don't worry about joining costs or anything," he said slightly condescendingly. "It's completely free! So, what do you both say? I'll even accept ideas about what the club is about!"
14 hours ago, Coda said:I have decided to vote, as it seems beneficial. I've picked randomly from those who are not Edema Ruh. My trusty random generator has given me... Walin! @Walin, you have been complained about. And now some RP.
Catalan carefully filled out his complaint form. A... Lin Wa had bumped into him and gotten mud on his cloak. That cloak had cost more than that peasant's room and board! He submitted his complaint, and stood. He had to track down the person who was complaining about him.
He found the complainer just inside the University. The man—Leo, was it?—was going around telling everyone about how Catalan had wronged him. Well, he'd done nothing of the sort. He'd just gotten there. He hadn't even signed up for classes! This would not stand.
He walked over, perfectly calm. Leo appeared to be flipping coins, for some reason. Maybe he was betting with himself. He must have lost a bet to be going out in such drab clothes. Grey and black? Seriously? Either he had no fashion sense whatsoever, he was somewhat religious, or he was mourning someone. Hopefully Catalan hadn't just made fun of someone who was in mourning. Even if it was inaudible, that sort of thing was dreadfully tacky.
Leo hadn't noticed him yet, so Catalan just stood there for a long moment. When Leo finally laid eyes on him, Catalan smiled pleasantly. "Hello there, good sir," he said. "Is there any reason why you have sullied my good name?"
He waited for a response from the offender. He wouldn't leave until he got some sort of answer. He could stand there all day if he had to. He was a noble, for Telhu's sake. Both of them were. It would have been fine if one of them had been a peasant, but nobles couldn't insult each other like this. That could start a feud!
"Ah, Catalan. Yes, I expected I'd see you sooner rather than later. It's nothing personal, honest. It's just, well, the other day, when I was checking out our classes, I noticed your shoes had a bit of mud on them, as well as looking a bit scuffed. We nobles have to do better than that, y'know? I wouldn't have said anything if it had been some Cealdan or Yllish, but I couldn't let it slide considering your rank."
At that, Leo began flipping his coins once again, completely sure he'd gotten his point across and that was the end of it.

Devotary(1): DeTess
Elandera(1): Elkanah
Lumgol(1): Zillah
Karnage(2): Straw, HH
HH(1): Karnage
Green Rover(1): Xino
Araris(1): Xino
Straw(1): Elandera
Coda(1): LopenHopefully that's accurate. Anyways, even being Noble, I'll still go for some tuition reduction! Coda, no hard feelings.
That's 9 players voted on currently. Might be worth throwing a couple more names on there unless we see someone worth prodding. I haven't noticed anything in particular that seemed sketchy yet though. Now for some RP!
Leo paced back and forth in his room, trying to decide which class to focus on. If he was being honest with himself, he knew he wasn't particularly adept at any one thing. Overall, he was just...average. He didn't mind, but it did make choosing a field of study somewhat difficult.
Ah well, I guess I'll just flip a coin! he thought to himself. He rummaged through his huge stacks of money bags until he found a coin he really liked. Perfect!
He flipped the coin over and over until he finally arrived at a conclusion...
"Nah, that seems entirely too dangerous for someone like me."
And so he chose a different coin and kept going at it for a good hour or two until it finally chose one he thought he could do.
"Next on the list is to meet the other students! Hmm, but what should I wear? You only get a first impression once after all!" he said to himself.
But by the time he had flipped a bunch of other coins to decide what to wear, he noticed it had gotten rather dark out, so he just decided to wait until the next day for any social interaction. The next day, however, he made his way to the University in his chosen outfit. It was surprisingly bland, being mostly grays and blacks, but the coins had decided, and he didn't like to go against chance or luck(unless it made him risk bodily or mental harm of course).
I wonder if there are any clubs here? he thought to himself as he entered the University grounds. If not, maybe I could start one! I'll have to look for other students who look like they have time on their hands.
So yeah, Leo is looking for anyone interested in starting up a club of some sorts. Any ideas are welcome!

Do we know how good of a performance we need in order to get the talent pipes. It occurs to me that although trying for the talent pipes gets us a one talent discount on school for the following term, it also costs us one talent this turn so we end up spending it anyway. It is nice that it is almost free to try for the pipes though and I do appreciate that. You just have to go back to school the next semester regardless of whether you succeeded or not and I don't think that's too much to ask given you really have to go out of your way to stay in Imre two turns in an row.
Is anyone who has played the previous games willing to tell me how likely it is to get the pipes? I can't find it in the rules. All I was told is that it is not likely because it would devalue them if everyone just got them. Also you gain a boost of one half of a point to your base stat every time you practice. Is that calculable? If we are using a D20 to decide this as is the pattern for other elements of the game, I'm guessing we need to get our base stat plus our performance score to add up to 20 or higher. That seems reasonably doable, but not in any way easy. I'd then assume we are innately given ability on a scale from one to ten. One being the sound of nails on a chalk board and ten the ability to make angels swoon. Edema Ruh get an innate bonus in singing, but even with a base score of ten, you have a fifty-fifty chance of failing to earn the pipes. The low end might even be a five out of twenty so even the plebiest of us has a one in four shot of achieving the pipes, but then again it may be lower.
@TheMightyLopen can you tell me if I'm on or near the right track on this one?
I guess maybe this once
Elandera It's nothing personal, I just need the money more than you do right now. If you gain another vote or two I'll find someone else to leach off of.
Edit: @Elandera
Hmmm, I can't exactly remember, but I think it was actually possible that some players have no chance at all of getting pipes. Not sure that's true though, sorry. It has been a while, and there was so much to keep track of...

Here we go! Excited for whatever happens! Considering I played the first and helped GM the second iteration of this game, I feel like I should be a Master rules expert, but I'm finding I actually don't remember how quite a few things work precisely...but that's part of the fun IMO!
Good luck to everyone!
First thought goes to paying tuition, which for me, should be fairly simple.
However, I agree with Straw that it is very harmful to Edema to be voted on at this stage, so vote carefully! If I'm reading the rules correctly, there's 45 DP(from Masters) to be spread out on whoever has votes on them, and 2 votes counts as 1 DP. So unless we're really trying to roleblock/expel someone, it's best to get a decent spread of votes. Anywhere from 10-15 players with votes on them should make the chances fairly low anyone gets punished, unless someone has a bunch of votes.
In terms of fields of study, honestly, I'd say just go for whatever sounds fun! I do remember Archives being very popular in the first game as well, so that might be tough to get into.
Other advice - Put your actions in early! You can always change it later if you want! It's especially important to remember lodging orders, although it looks like being on the streets is slightly less dangerous now if you don't have a lot of money, which is a cool little balance change. One thing to help Edema is to put Black market contracts out for doing something simple, and then they can get an easy Talent or two like that. As far as actions go this Month, looks like we're limited to: EP spending, voting, and choosing to go to Imre. Next Month will be the time to put in Lodging. Although...GM's, can you put in Lodging orders for the next Term in the first Month of that Term? Or do you have to send the orders in during the second Month?
I think that's it for now. If anyone wants to PM me, feel free! I like to get a couple good connections going early as it helps me get a better feel for what's going on behind the scenes.

As you confirmed, going to the hospital is not an action. If you're an Engineer you just need to get one sabotage off today before you go, and one of your teammates needs to use the faction ability to sabotage the last part tomorrow. So honestly that doesn't alleviate my concerns in the slightest, even if it'd be risky, should a part get repaired.
Thank you. After this game I hope the GMs share how they went about creating the list of non-Aviar.
Anyway, a vote tally:
- (1) Burnt Spaghetti: shanerocks,
- (1) _Stick_: StrikerEZ,
- (1) Devotary of Spontaneity: Amanuensis,
Like Alv said, I think it would be too early for the elim team to give up their second sabotage.
One possibility I think we should be aware of is an elim hammer. If we do somehow hit the engineer with our lynch, I don't think it's impossible the elims could try that to get one extra sabotage across by saving their engineer even if it reveals them. Might be too risky this Cycle though.
1 minute ago, Amanuensis said:Process of elimination. The players I didn't list at the beginning of this cycle are extremely unlikely to be the elim!Engineer, and Devotary's posting style is more-or-less impossible to read her alignment from, compared to the others. She's also voted every time, has a non-confirmable alibi, and is one of the players I would expect to go for a sabotage-victory from the get go. The post with the color-coded names explains why I don't think Mrake, Burnt, Mark or Lopen are the Engineer, which really just leaves her, you, and Alvron.
Yeah, same here. It's not that I have an eliminator read on Alv or Devotary, it's that I have mostly village reads on everyone else. Devotary

Unlike Lopen, I'm somewhat inclined to believe you, to an extent. Elephant Bird, Monk Parakeet, Sooty Albatross and Potoo are all real-world birds, and thus fitting within a theme that doesn't seem to be remarked on prior to this post. Thing is, I fully expect whether or not there are 3 or 4 eliminators, 1 of the eliminators who didn't use a sabotage action very likely attempted to get a bird, so whether or not you received it is still in question. Lopen ninja'ing me as I write this helps me eliminate him as an Engineer suspect as well.
That was my reason for doubting rather than him completely making it up.
4 minutes ago, Alvron said:How rude. I was having fun trying to work out who sent the message and now you've gone and ruined it.
I've never cared about distancing myself from others. Nor have I bothered to try and pocket others. At least on purpose as sometimes it just happens. So the answer is no, not on purpose.
Yeah, I was gonna keep it to myself, but with as much discussion surrounding it as there was, I figured it'd be best to clear that up. I was gonna ramp up the paranoia in the next message too...
Actually Aman, I'm planning a visit to the Hospital this Cycle anyways, so no need to get me attacked.

@Randuir / @Young Bard: Can a Biologist self-target? If a Biologist used their power on D1, would they learn if anyone interacted with them on D1?
I sent the anonymous message.
I didn't think the message board would get much use and I didn't particularly care about getting another Aviar(especially as I kinda thought the elims would sabotage twice again, so not much of a chance I'd be attacked), so I thought I'd have some fun.

Oh yeah, you didn’t get on until this cycle. So that gives a pretty good alibi for you, and a half decent one for Lopen (assuming my assumption about the rules regarding the Kukupa being randomly assigned is true). For now, I’ll place a tentative vote on Stick. I guess it could be possible that she claimed Aviar early on because what elim would claim Aviar like that so early? I dunno, I just don’t feel comfortable voting on anyone else. There’s only a few people that have been consistently posting, and Stick’s the only one that’s done the most suspicious things in my opinion. (Most of Devotary’s posts have been NAI, which could be indicative of an elim trying to hide, though I’d like to hear her response to Aman’s vote on her before I decide anything about her alignment).
I didn't request an Aviar at all. It was just completely random apparently. So I don't have an alibi for this Cycle. Really, claiming to get an Aviar or even posting an anonymous message doesn't completely clear someone, as an elim teammate could have done it, and then a different elim(for example, an engineer who needs to be protected) could claim that action in their place without fear of being called out. I believe the claims made so far, but I'd argue caution about making assumptions from this action tracking.
I also just got clarification that asking to go to the hospital is not an action. Not sure if that's relevant, but I thought I'd share it anyway.
Edit: disclaimer - not sure I believe Devotary's claim

I got the Sak bird C1. And currently me and Ventyl have the PM birds(I did not request it). Sadly they're inactive.

Okay. I think I'm caught up, but honestly still need time to process everything, and I would probably benefit from a 2nd read through of the last two days events when I'm less physically and mentally exhausted.
From what I understand, the elims are 3 cycles from winning already. Unless our village Engineers succeed in reparing a ship part, our only hope is to get all 3 of our lynches right. Glancing quickly at the player list, I figure the elims are among this group:
- Mrake
- Devotary
- Mark
- Stick
- Lopen
- Alvron
- Araris
- Burnt
Mrake and Burnt look semi good for the tie vote yesterday, since I would expect teammates to save one of them if they were evil. However, my current theory is Alvron and Burnt are teammates, with Alvron encouraging Burnt to vote for a 3rd person (Ax) to increase the likelihood of her survival without one of her allies getting dragged down with her. I have other reasons for suspecting Burnt, so if it seems like I'm jumping to a conclusion, that's why. I'll explain the reasoning for my Burnt suspicions at a later time, when I'm better rested / have access to my computer again.
My gut is screaming Mark is evil but I'm trying to reign that in until I can rationalize why. I cant remember if he posted more than his initial d1 post tho, which may be a factor in where I lean on him.
Lopen's expression of suspicion on Burnt could be distancing, and I wouldn't be surprised if Burnt stacked her vote on top of Lopen's intentionally, since most people would read it as very unlikely for a pair of elims to vote on the same player without any villagers for cover.
Devotary and Araris are mostly on that list because neither have done anything remarkably village. Alvron too, really, but him even less so, imo.
Stick is simultaneously giving me vibes from the last game we were evil together, and vibes that I wouldn't expect to come from her as an elim. I'll look into this more later this turn.
The rest of us are probably okay.
I feel pretty similar to this. I am still leaning village on Mrake and Stick, though I'm not confident about that. For some reason I felt the same way about Mark, but when I looked back at his one post(he hasn't posted since then), I couldn't figure out why. So at this point I'd narrow my pool of who I'd vote for to Devotary, Alvron, Mark, Araris, and Burnt. I'm hoping Mark will show up this Cycle so we can get some more of his thoughts. Since Araris is visiting the Hospital, I wouldn't mind waiting until he has the chance to defend himself before thinking about going after him.
Apologies to Ax. I didn't actually think he'd get lynched, but I knew it was possible with how low the votes were.
Anyways, I just got off work, and I'm gonna be busy pretty much the rest of the day, so I probably won't be able to post again until 4 or 5 hours from now.

Ok, I've gone back and looked through a couple players to try and get some more variety in terms of who we're focusing on, so here it is:
Mark - He's only posted once, but looking back over it, I can't really decide either way whether I'm suspicious of him or not. He mostly just talks about mechanics(understandable, it being C1 when he posted), and guessing distribution, which I don't think gives us much.
Ventyl - One post which was just naming their character. They are playing another SE game right now I think, so that could definitely account for some of their lack of activity here. But we need you too! @Ventyl, any thoughts on the game so far?
Shane - Has only posted once to say he was busy. @shanerockes Anything is useful at this point, so don't feel like you have to reread everything and form opinions about everyone. If you could just post any thoughts you've had or initial reactions to posts or ideas, it could help us get a feel for what you're thinking.
Ax's Boyfriend - Has only posted twice, and neither really had any game discussion. He has been active elsewhere on the shard, so I kinda feel wary that he may just be lurking. @Ax's Boyfriend, any thoughts on the game? Opinions on Stick or Drake?
@xinoehp512 - Hasn't posted yet sadly. Hopefully they didn't forget about us...?
I don't think I want to lynch Aman(inactive), Xino(inactive), Ventyl(inactive), Mark(eh, I trust he'll become more active without a lot of prodding), BR(kinda village read), Burnt(biased reasons), Drake(village read), Striker(village read), or myself(self-preservation). Which just leaves Shane, Ax, Alvron, Araris, Devotary, Lumgol, or Stick. I don't have solid reads on these players and feel some of them may be lurking. I put Stick on there mostly because I'm leaning village on Drake and Striker, but honestly it doesn't feel right to me. Feels like more would be going on if we have an eliminator up for the lynch right now. Of course, there's still some time left, so it could be that a lot happens between now and the end of the Cycle, similar to last Cycle, but even so, I'm not particularly suspicious of Stick myself. I'll switch my vote over from Ventyl(because they're playing 2 games at once) to Ax's Boyfriend.
Probably my last post of the Cycle. Going to sleep soon, so, good luck everyone! I'm sure you'll completely change all of your votes and I will have no impact on anything!

Ok, well, I've gone through basically the entire game(focusing mostly on what happened between my last post of C1 and now), and tbh, I don't have a lot in terms of suspicions. Here's a breakdown of my thoughts at the moment:
1. Xino - Hasn't posted yet?
2. Lumgol - Hasn't posted anything besides hello to begin the game I think?
3. Striker - Village read. 2nd vote on Aman C1 would be a risky thing to do as an elim I think, and besides that, he seems open with his thoughts. As if he's just posting whatever he's currently thinking rather than planning his posts to look a certain way.
4. BR - I wonder if she'd be bold enough to lay out her plans C1 if she was an elim...probably.
She mentioned sabotaging the brig and that she thought the elims had an engineer(seemed pretty confident they would). Honestly reading her slightly village, but don't hold me to that...
5. Ventyl - Don't remember much about them. I think they've only posted once early on?
6. Aman - completely inactive
7. Ax's Boyfriend - Hasn't really done much from what I can remember.
8. Drake - Has basically been the driving force of discussion. I'm wary of him, but leaning village right now. Seems bolder than an elim would be maybe?
9. Devotary - I have trouble reading him, so I'll give him a couple Cycles before I try to lynch him haha.
10. Mark - I need to go back and look at Mark actually, because I remember being slightly suspicious of him for some reason.
11. Shane - No read.
12. Stick - Village read, but if memory serves I've not been able to read her very well in the past, so could be wrong about that. Reading her village because she sounds relaxed in her posts.
13. Alvron - Refer to text for Devotary.
14. Araris - Refer to text for Alvron.
15. Burnt - Not sure why, but I'm mildly suspicious of Burnt. I'm against lynching her right now though, cause it's just gut and I haven't played with her in a long time.
16. Lopen - I like to put myself on these lists so the player count is correct. Also, I believe Drake's claim of getting an Aviar, so I'm marking him off my list of who could have sent in the sabotage orders. Which means I've eliminated Drake, Striker, Aman, and myself(I guess I'm fine with telling you all that I didn't send in a sabotage order) from the list. Only 12 people to look at!

I'll drop a vote on Ventyl for now, because I think we need more people to speak up. Ventyl, any thoughts on the game? Considering Drake has been posting a lot, do you have an opinion on him? Personally I like to hear players opinions about those driving discussion because of how much influence they can have on who is getting focused on/ignored.
Edit: Vote tally
Stick(2): Drake, Striker
Burnt(1): Araris
Ventyl(1): Lopen0 -
Yeah...I was meaning to do a post tonight, but at this point I'm too tired to try and make a meaningful post, let alone vote. I will do my best to be more involved tomorrow, but for now, I'm going to sleep.

Oh, one thing was that I did like Drake's attempt to narrow down who could have sent in the elim orders last Cycle. I'm not sure I agree with his results of who was active or not, but I like that line of thought. It might not be a very small pool of players to look at, but if we know there's at least 2 elims in it, well it's at least a start.

Well, that almost certainly means the Saboteurs have an engineer. Which means we've got 4 more Cycles minimum. I'm gonna assume we've got some village engineers though, so hopefully they'll be able to repair a few parts and give us a couple more Cycles than that.
Nothing much to say about the lynch at the moment. Nothing stood out to me in particular, but I've only glanced over things, so I'll do another post later once I've got time.

Well...I don't see any good lynch targets. I'd prefer we had a lynch, but there has been very little discussion so far, so I've got zero suspicions. I'll leave my vote on Lumgol I suppose, since I don't want Aman lynched C1, and also the more players that are tied the higher the chance we've got an elim in there, which means they'll have to take some action to protect themselves.
I'm going to bed soon, so unless something happens in the next 30 minutes, this'll be my last post.

Oh huh, the game has started. Neat.
Minor village read on Burnt and Araris for reasons.
No real suspects yet, so I guess I'll just prod people and see what I can find. @TheMightyLopen TheMightyLopen, would you elaborate on why you don't think villagers will utilize sabotage? Obviously it's risky since it brings one of the elims win conditions a step closer, but I guess it doesn't feel that obvious to me that a village!engineer would never choose to sabotage things.
I mean, it just seems too risky to me, at least early on. I guess you have a point that we can't automatically assume an engineer is evil just because they sabotage something, but like Devotary said, it would require a village engineer to be very confident they'd hit an elim with it to try it, so I'd expect a solid explanation if that happened. Another point why I wouldn't advise it is that we won't get the alignment of those hospitalized, so it's not really a great informational tool. Once we get close to the end of the game though, I'd absolutely be fine with a village engineer going after someone they think is evil(assuming there's enough airship parts still working where it won't make a difference).
It mostly doesn't matter anymore, since Rand said we won't be able to tell between the faction ability or an engineer sabotage. I was just thinking that if an engineer was hospitalized and there was evidence that the elims had an engineer, we could have more confidence that that player was an elim and use that information to adjust our reads.

Whoo, Burnt's playing! This should be fun!
Anyways, I've only got a couple thoughts right now. To echo Burnt, @Randuir, will the write-ups explain how someone was hospitalized? Also, will it be clear whether an area gets sabotaged by the elim team power or by an engineer power? Obviously I don't think any village engineers are gonna be sabotaging our amazing airship, but it could be helpful to know if the elim team has an engineer or not. One last question: Is there a vote minimum for the lynch and what happens in the case of a tie? (ok that's two questions but I always ask them together so whatever)
I do think we should try to get some lynch discussion going. I'll slap a vote down on Lumgol for their controversial post where they said hello and that they were alive which seems pretty suspicious.
Actually, I'd just like to hear if you've got any thoughts on mechanics or anything really. Just something to give us an idea of what you're thinking about the game right now.

I'll join!
I need to check, but I might actually have a living character from another Sixth of the dusk game I could bring back.

Woot! For some reason I'm getting surprisingly lucky this game. First a Noble, now an Elevation first try!
(ok I should be quiet before I jinx myself...)
I do think we should pay close attention to who has been elevated and how many times each player has been elevated. I remember in LG18, it actually helped me track down why one of the Skindancers went insane, as well as being aware of who could possibly do certain things(Relar and E'lthe can do more powerful things in certain fields and whatnot). Don't really need a list right now though, since there's only been one set of Elevations.
Another thing I would suggest is being careful revealing which field you were Elevated in, as not only could that make you a target, it could also help the Skindancers narrow down who got other fields.
I would put a poke vote or two down since I've got a vote on me, but I kinda want to actually use my votes this Month. I haven't gotten around to doing much real analysis as I've actually been fairly busy the last 2 days, but I'm gonna try to look back at the previous Term somewhat and choose my votes afterward. I will say I did go back and check Sart's posts, but there's not a lot there. He voted on Walin and Burnt, mostly to prod them into posting more game thoughts. Seems doubtful he was sabotaged for those imo, but it's worth pointing out.
I guess that's it for now. I may do some RP in a bit and put my votes down then.
