Weirdness. My shardworld is a bizarre and colorful landscape. My magic is based on summoning strange creatures that live in the cognitive realm and bonding with them. Lovecraft+Pokemon+Sanderson. It is a fantastic idea.

As existence is fundamentally meaningless and everything is going to be reduced to nothingness (my shard would so be Ruin...) if you feel like you are wasting your time then yes, you are. I can answer the first question too. You are bothering with stuff because not bothering with stuff would mean consequences that you fear are going to be worse than the stuff you are bothering with. And same, I find reality boring, so I escape to more interesting lands, like The Cosmere, Temerant and apparently Chicago. I still have not figured out why I love horror and Weird fiction so much though... oh well.

Considering how musical King Killer Chronicles are I can see it working out. I am not sure how they are going to turn them into films, They are very slow books, not a lot of action, you would need absolutely top notch cinematography to make up for the lack of Pat's prose and how are they going to fit NOTW in one book? I am skeptical, could work, but I am skeptical.

Living of being creative isnt impossible, lots of people do it, I think there is a common fallacy most people fall for is that you wont be lucky enough to be the next Rowling means you cant live of it, which is a load of crem.

A couple months ago my favorite podcast issued a challenge to write a good pokemon creepypasta (The person who issued the challenge was of the opinion that it was impossible) I of course entered. Today the winners were announced. I wasnt one of them. But I was the first honorable mention, so I'm happy.

It is possible, Im only on the second island. Well, yes, but there are better ways to jog your memory than to give you map markers. I prefer getting lost. It is kind of narrative, but the exploration and adventuring is what I like about Pokemon, it doesnt feel the same if the game is holding your hand all the time.

I turned mine off, but it still feels too easy. I agree, Alola is my favorite region so far, it is just cozier somehow. I would still appreciate if I could get lost...

I just started and I am having fun with it, but it is a little too easy and I am missing having to get lost. Stop putting marks on my map and just let me wander around, trying to find out where to go for half an hour, please. I could do it when I was 8 without knowing any english, I can do it now, so can modern 8 year olds if you just give them the chance.
