  1. There's a WoB floating around somewhere, IIRC
  2. I was fairly undecided on the issue (most if not all of my family voted Leave) and I really couldn't do much halfway across the world. The one thing that really grieves me is that it turned into an us v them scenario, and the hatred - that no doubt was underlying anyway - has just erupted to the surface and people feel as if they can be absolute cremlings to both nationals and immigrant nationals. I see all these posts of 'make Britain great again' and all I can think of is swapping Britain with America and you have Trump. It is true, Odium reigns...
  3. Is he cute? Prospective partner for Twi perhaps? (Mind he'd have to meet the standards of the Shard and Twi's following)
  4. Honestly, the irony amuses me so much that if it is correct, I'd give Nightblood a high~sword? But given the corruptive nature of Shades and what Nightblood does, it is interesting. (I think I may have voiced this sentiment before, but can't remember if shot down or no)
  5. Well...one did go back for their Blade...but we don't know who and if it was out of guilt or not.
  6. I was thinking either Rubik's or an automated Japanese puzzle box (let's just hope it isn't the Lament Configuration )
  7. Is the Obsidian fortress in Dalinar's vision related in anyway to Shadesmar? Is Obsidian related in anyway to Shadesmar?
  8. for clarification; Scadrial via WoB = Expanse of the Vapours, although apart from Shadesmar we don't know what Roshar's Cognitive Expanse name is (although we can made a few guesses a la Spheres, but yes Magestar is correct I belive; each Shardworld's Cognitive expanse is presumably unique due to Realmatic interactions with each planet's native Investiture and Cognitive Perception. I seem to recall a very recent WoB explaining that a Shard's Investiture is usually seen in the CR's sky when being controlled by a Vessel (see Secret History, as demonstrated with Ruin and possibly Preservation. This also provides a big [but unconfirmed hint] as to Sel's Expanse name) so it is possible for either the Investiture to filter from the Cognitive Sun, which itself could be the portal to the Beyond or the Sun is portal to the Spiritual Realm and from there, people's spirits pass into the Great Beyond
  9. What Yata said. Using the Well when it's full only grants probably a minute's use (we don't know long exactly, but it isn't very. Think of it like burning a metal; e.g. atium has a fast burn rate, but on a global scale,). Rashek had no idea how much power he wielded so he wasted most of it moving the planet in the first few moments, so...theoretically he could have done but it wouldn't have been enough to correct what he done the first time roun
  10. My WoB memory is hazy but I seem to recall something about the Evil being related to something we've seen before, and if Silence's grandparents were among the first, then a rough estimate of a time lapse could be a 100~ years, depending on average life spans and conception/birth rates/infant survival. Seeing as we have it via WoB that Shadows happens before SA (thanks @Pagerunner I'm actually inclined to agree with you, seeing as SH also mentions cognitive shadows), not leaving us with many alternatives (and given the nature of the Shades: - smoky appearance, their reactions to doing 'evil' etc.) I'm gonna go out on a limb and say the Fallen World could be Nalthis, seeing the way Nightblood kills people and the like *shrug*
  11. I'm going to pick up a physical copy this week....much hype
  12. Most likely, all of Selish magics use the Dor (which is a fusion of Devotion and Dominion) though some I hazard, use one aspect more than the other; in this case AonDor is primarily but not completely of Devotion whilst Dakhor may well be primarily, but not completely, Dominion.\ Now, that isn't to say that you couldn't use either Shard to power any of the magic systems...however it is possible that any of these magic systems may not exist without this current alignment or even function as intended if powered by just one of the Shards. I'd venture a guess as to say that it is possible to channel more of Shard than the other, but not one Shard completely. Until we know how the Dor functioned before Aona and Skai's deaths (moreover, how it actually functions now and what part Initiation plays in it would be even better) but I guess we'll have to wait for the Elantris sequels. I wouldn't put Dakhor healing out of the race just yet, it seems like it could be possible...ust probably not worth the pain and suffering to go through Again, we need more events of it being explained and used (Hurry up Khriss!)
  13. Did Tanavast seal Rayse after he had just killed Aona and Skai?
  14. I am looking forward to the stories, as the Gisuna/Brusela hybrid is pure horrifying so I'm eager to see if they get a card. I missed the first Innistrad block so this has been interesting and I like the Werewolves however, Ulrich I'm not certain about. I can see ways I can work with it with EDH (door of destinies/Obelisk of Urd/Equestrian skill/Rancor) although reading MTGSalv, everyone seems to be out of favour with it, blaming creative's 'reasoning' that nobody actually said what they wanted on a WW leg so *shrug*. I'm interested to see Lili in this, among tamiyo and possibly someone else, along with the other legendaries. Thalia isn't really my playstyle atm so I'm not that interested. Hanweir looks funny as Storms and I'll be interested in the front side. I was a bit cautious with Eldrazi in this set due to BfZ burnout, but I'm warming up to them now
  15. As much as I'd like to see a duel between Szeth and Adolin, it wouldn't happen. Szeth killed Gavilar through assassination, not to mention various other monarchs and leaders, combined with attempting to kill Dalinar so a trial by combat would definitely be the last thing to happen; it would just go straight to execution. Not to mention Szeth has Nightblood...I dread to think of how THAT duel would go down... Back on topic, I think Sadeas may have guessed there were bigger players on the field but given how secret they were, I find it unlikely he or Ialai would have found a solid lead on any of them. I think Gavilar just knew what an eel Sadeas was and would have tried something sooner or later in the long run.
  16. The news of the 10th Elantris ed. pleases me to no end, although I wonder if the Kindle edition version will also be released around the same time. I'm not particularly sure if I like the 10th Mistborn cover (I'm a huge fan of the Gollancz cover art for Brandon's books) I really like that cover for AU, especially if the style of the book on the cover is used for the Ars Arcanum, should ever Brandon ever release it as a book (I hope to damnation he does)
  17. For the first, I think you're almost right, but the bond provides them with sapience in the PR. For the second, I don't quite know, but Horneaters, despite being listener/human offspring also bathe in the Pool atop the Horneater peaks (note Rock's story in the tavern) which supposedly helps them too
  18. @TwiLyghtSansSparkles interesting news I got today. Back home, my friend told me he's working in the theatre where HP and the CC is being performed.
  19. We don't know for sure, but it seems rather an odd choice for a decoy, especially when feruchemists are commonly depicted using arm/wristbands as metalminds (hence Bands of Mourning) not to mention that you could have chosen a dozen other options to leave as decoys/treasure, like a gold one as its the least likely to be burnt. With what we know of Brandon's writing, it just seems...too odd.... idk, I could be seeing Shades in Shadows after all
  20. My main point is; the Belt WAS a metal mind, one that stored presumably Kelsier's identity and one that is now empty, hence why Wax couldn't sense any Investiture
  21. I don't know if this has been mentioned already as I couldn't see a topic about it. So, I was rereading parts of BoM for things I'd missed, when I came upon the bit where Wax was looking over the Sovereign's statue and he noticed the Aluminium belt but dismisses it as he'd already tested it for Investiture and as a result, he assumes that both Bands were just fused into the spear point. I however disagree. I think that the Alu belt was in fact a metal mind as it seems rather odd to leave a metal belt on a statue in the middle of only Harmony knows where, especially one that feruchemically stores Identity.
  22. I have Finding Dory on the brain. The feels man. Just keep swimming! Just keep swimming! Just keep swimming!
  23. I am now petitioning internally for there to be a Following of Dory/Dory Conclave.
