  1. Do you have a source on it being made of steel? I don't remember seeing that.
  2. Did somebody call for a Gantt chart?
  3. How do you want to be identified in your entries? And it is the exact wording (though I just made a small edit). If you click the play button on the entry, you can listen to audio to make sure!
  4. @Synth I think you may have responded in the wrong thread. I don't see anything about Wayne here (and it's from a while ago, so it's probably not an active discussion).
  5. There are several points throughout Oathbringer and Words of Radiance where Venli is explicitly connected to ambition in the text. Furthermore, by the end of the novel she is a traitor to Odium's forces, having bonded a non-voidspren. Look at the back-cover blurbs from a more meta perspective. Four characters are on all three books: Kaladin, Shallan, Dalinar, and Szeth. Three of these characters have had viewpoints in normal chapters of all three books; Szeth has chapters in all the Interludes in WoK and one Interlude chapter in WoR. In WoR, Eshonai has chapters in every Interlude and is added to the back-cover blurb. It makes sense to me that this pattern continues. Venli is the character who has chapters in every set of Interludes, so she is the one that is added to the blurb.
  6. Or at least Kaladin thinks he's dead. In general, I found this theory pretty convincing, and I'm on board.
  7. Book personalizations have been split into three entries and updated with the questions from the images. Questioner names should also be updated on all the entries you posted. Let me know if I missed anything!
  8. Check out the Coppermind page here: https://coppermind.net/wiki/Shadesmar It has links to all the Expanse pages and some general info. There might be spoilers for Oathbringer though, so be careful if you haven't read it yet.
  9. Added to the General Reddit 2017 event: https://wob.coppermind.net/events/116-general-reddit-2017/#eNone
  10. As far as I know, we haven't seen an Aimian of either type bleed on-screen. However, in the Prelude, Kalak walks through a battlefield that contains both orange and violet blood. I think it's likely the purple is intended to Aimian blood (probably Dysian); Arclo alludes to having fought alongside the Knights Radiant in the past.
  11. We will likely get an update in Brandon's yearly "State of the Sanderson" post, which will be up in the next few weeks.
  12. Do you want literally every piece of chronological info on the second spreadsheet? As an example, you already have down that Chapter 29 takes place four days after Chapter 27. Do you also want lines from Chapter 29 like "Her team was tired, as was Shallan, who suffered from the long nights as Veil"?
  13. Here's a quote from Brandon himself on that link: In general, deleted scenes and early drafts are not considered canon. Only the final, published version.
  14. I mean... 1. Azure is on Roshar looking for a sword made by Vasher 2. She has a similar sword herself 3. As of the end of Warbreaker, there are potentially three people who know how these swords are created: Vasher, Vivenna, and Yesteel. Vivenna is the only woman in that group. 4. Azure trained with the sword and in Awakening with Vasher (says she learned the kata from him, uses Awakened clothing on her arm the same way). 5. Not much time passes between the Warbreaker sequel and Way of Kings (source: https://wob.coppermind.net/events/87-white-sand-vol1-release-party/#e5657) 6. As Willow points out above, her hair changes color, indicating that she is a member of the Idrian royal family. She also indicates a royal background in conversation with Adolin. So unless, in the short time between the books, there is another member of the Idrian royal family who also trains with Vasher and who he decides to tell about how to make swords like Nightblood, I'm not sure who else it could possibly be.
  15. He uses the same name in both places. IIRC he's in multiple books. Also confirmed by WoB here: https://wob.coppermind.net/events/2-jordancon-2016/#e138
  16. For sure. There's definitely something going with eyes in general, between those two things and the glowing eyes of the Fused and the way that Shardblades/Radiancy change eye color.
  17. There must be some way to detect the use of Surgebinding (or fabrials) because the voidspren do it in Kholinar.
  18. Because we've literally seen Shalash (who is the daughter of Jezrien, a king and wind-person) going around scratching out the eyes on various depictions of herself. It fits perfectly already. If it were not Shalash, why would it be Mayalaran? There are a bunch of other dead Shardblades around, presumably all with scratched out eyes (hence the "deadeye" term). This seems pretty open and shut to me.
  19. That's why they chose to abandon it then. If somebody else had died, they may have forced themselves to return to Braize for another round of torture. But because the opportunity presented itself, they took it.
  20. I've seen a couple comments like this, and I generally think people who have read the other Cosmere books are more aware of these things, which makes them stand out more. There are so many unexplained things just within the setting of Stormlight itself (Voidbinding anyone?) that I don't think one sword that works slightly differently than expected is a huge deal for the characters.
  21. US Hardcover Page 530 I believe "drill" should be "drills". Page 1242 There should be only one "only" in the sentence.
  22. Secret History, a novella that shows some of the background events of the original Mistborn trilogy (not being too specific with plot here in case you haven't read it).
  23. I think this is what he's referring to: https://brandonsanderson.com/books/elantris/elantris/languages-of-elantris/
  24. Yeah, I think he's saying "I'm not going to ask for spoilers, but...". Fixed that. You check the "needs attention" tag (found here) for some other ones that have inaudible parts, if you feel like trying to decipher them. Fixed. Fixed.
