  1. So I just watched the most recent episode of Legion and there's a scene (minor spoilers): It was *magical* Did anyone else watch it and think the same thing?
  2. I read the first book when it came out and enjoyed it, then listened to it on audiobook so I could then listen to the 2nd. But it was painful to get through a 2nd time and by the time the audiobook was done I had no desire to start the next book. I listened to an hour or two and ended up returning it to Audible (the only book I've ever done that to). I was pretty disappointed by the experience since I was looking forward to it. I guess I thought I enjoyed the first one more than I actually did.
  3. That's very interesting about the harvesting. I'd always thought they'd be lost (as concluded in the book), but that gives me a lot to think about! Like Vasher said, we don't really know very much about breath.
  4. I wondered about the same thing then I reread that part recently. I figure that the Awakener can recover at least partial breath back from both ropes, but I don't have any WoB to base that on. As for the death of an Awakener, the breaths are indeed lost.
  5. Not all shards have a number with special significance, and those that do wouldn't necessarily share the same number. Here's a paraphrased WoB: Source: http://www.17thshard.com/forum/topic/22462-portland-signing-116/?do=findComment&comment=217255 Here's an interesting Reddit comment on numbers on shardworlds: Source: https://www.reddit.com/r/Cosmere/comments/5f37dp/all_why_10_instead_of_16_on_roshar/dahpfo2/
  6. Supposedly the first two episodes are painful to get through. Not sure about the rest of the season. I guess I'll find out next week!
  7. My apologies but I forgot what it was already That joke's been Ruined.
  8. Since no one knows what's in the Beyond, it could be paradise, damnation, or oblivion. Perhaps it's where souls go and wait to be reborn with a new spiritweb and body, sometime down the road. Or where you reunite with all the pets you'd lost over your long years. Whatever you want it to be though, that's your canon now because you won't get anything better. It's like a choose your own ending book, but with Vin and Shallan and Lightsong!
  9. I also had a write-up for Mistborn Era 2 and Secret Histories because I didn't see anything about it, but reread the thread before I posted and saw you in fact DID read them... so I had to remove a horribly clever pun from my post :'( Edit: I grammar good, I swear
  10. I'd thought about increasing friction before, but never about elasticity. Now I have an image of Radiants bouncing around the land like Gummi Bears.
  11. It's a hard choice, but I think a post-Calamity Epic would be pretty fun. Who doesn't want to be a superhero? Plus you have the multiverse aspect too, it'd be as fun to universe-hop as it would be to world-hop!
  12. Just remember, there's always another secret. When you're ready, the next Mistborn series (starting with Alloy of Law) is another awesome read, and you'll see a few familiar faces! There's also Mistborn: Secret History (also with familiar faces) that you can read now, but it's highly recommended to read through to the end of Bands of Mourning first to avoid minor spoilers that Secret History has. I just finished my reread of Warbreaker, and when I finish the last book of The Chronicles of the Unhewn Thrown I plan to go back to the original Mistborns, so soon I'll be right there in the corner with you!
  13. I've seen your work on Facebook and it's amazing! I especially love the Emperor's Soul set, it's my favorite Cosmere story.
  14. If you have not yet signed up for Brandon's newsletter, the White Sand prose version is now included in the welcome email! If you are already signed up, you can request it from the contact form on Brandon's website (link here), or send a PM to his assistant Adam on Facebook (link here) for a quicker response. If you sign up for the newsletter, the very first sentence contains the link to the download. It's easy to overlook and my husband spent several minutes looking through the whole email to find it.
