  1. They are up! https://www.tor.com/2022/11/07/read-the-lost-metal-by-brandon-sanderson-chapters-sixteen-through-eighteen/
  2. They usually release them at 11:00am CST so about an hour and half from now. Or they are just going to leave us with a cliffhanger until the book releases!
  3. Another relevant WoB
  4. And no navel version of course with just one broke down aircraft carrier I guess this is not a big deal for them.
  5. Man I have always loved the F-22 so I am going to have to go with that although the F-35 is a beautiful aircraft as well. The Su-57 is probably a superior aircraft to the F-22 but Russia so you know. This post reminds me of one thing that drove me crazy about Top Gun Maverick. Why would you fly a F/A-18 on this super difficult suicide mission evading SAMs and going against Gen 5 aircraft? Apparently is was so they had a two seater aircraft to be able to film inside the cockpit. I doubt anyone besides military aircraft nerds would have noticed but it drove me crazy. Anyone else a Brrrrttttt fan?
  6. Not exactly sure how he did it but it appears he was able to recover his bones then I would assume used Hemalurgy similar to a Kandra to posses them.
  7. Welcome! Great answers above! I am sure they will fit in perfect with the others!
  8. I wouldn't worry about it too much at this point but once you do I think it will answer some of your questions. As said above it is really hard for us to say too much without spoilers. I think though you will have a good idea who the people you asked about are once you finish RoW.
  9. Yes you will get answers to most of these. One will need additional reading though. Have you read all the other Cosmere books?
  10. Not sure how this is possible with the timeline. The Set were pretty established by the time of AoL and Era2 happens in the gap between SA5 and SA6 which assuming that is still around 10 years time we have pretty much sen that much in-world time by Lost Metal. Plus that would be a pretty major spoiler for SA5.
  11. I think it would be whatever they considered to be their "native language". Similar to how people that speak multiple languages but usually think in their native language. Have you read Bands of Morning? There is some more info on this that is kind of interesting in regard to peoples accents.
  12. I always assumed this was Kelsier not a new Mistborn because of the WoB that we will see more Kelsier in Era3 and the rogue Mistborn thing sounds like him. Up until these pre-view chapters that is. I agree 100%
  13. Ah gotcha. Yes I agree. Oh and we do have a WoB that we will know who Trell is in this book. I am personally not a fan of Trell being Odium. I can see the reasons people feel this way but from the timeline alone I do not like the idea. Plus I want another bad guy!
  14. Yes the actual book was supposed to be released sooner but as far as the Cosmere timeline I believe still intended to be after SA5. This WoB is from 2016 before OB was released but well in to writing it so this has been the plan for a while.
  15. It is interesting because we do not know what raw atium does yet but yes I could see Preservation manipulating it to be limiting to an extent. Good point.
  16. Yes this is odd. The only explanation I can possible think of is had it been pure Atium that anyone can burn this could have been a contradiction of Preservations intent. So he is "preserving" a part Ruin not allowing everyone to be able to burn it.
  17. Oh wow mind blown! Never noticed this before!
  18. OMG these cliffhangers! Does anyone know if we will get another preview Monday? Assuming not since the book release is the next day. Now I am really curious if Wax will burn Lerasium if the experiment was a success. He reflects on it and it appears he would....
  19. The time gap between SA5 and SA6 will be about 10 years So presumably the events may potentially overlap SA6 but we have seen close to 10 years of in-world time so far in MBE2 with the 6 year skip in TLM. The thing would have happened a few years max I would think before AoL and The Set was pretty well established by AoL. Not saying it is impossible but it seems unlikely that Trell started mucking about on Scadrial after the thing.
  20. Yes there are a few WoBs on it but this is the one credited in the unofficial Cosmere timeline. I actually started a thread about the inconsistencies of the WoB regarding the Kandra world hopper and the pre-view chapters but in the end it was explained in the pre-view chapters that the mission MeLaan is about to go on is the first long term one not neccesarily the first Kandra to go world hopping post catacendre.
  21. Yes unknown but also because she only had one spike instead of at least two. Paalm's primary motivation was "freeing" everyone from Harmony's control so I would say that fits in with Autonomy at least from her motivation POV. My only big objection to it being Odium is the timeline just does not make since especially with what happens in RoW. Not saying it is impossible but a pretty huge obstacle to overcome with the continuity. I also think it is a bit of a red hearing because a lot of what you said is true but somewhat a little too obvious. I also think Autonomy is a little too obvious as well. This will be a pretty major reveal and I guess I just expect it to be something we did not expect similar to the before mentioned event in RoW.
  22. I love this idea for the implications that Dalinar would have to fight his brother who he felt he let down and failed to protect him. I'm not sure what I feel about him being resurrected though. Obviously we have seen this with Szeth but it was seen pretty much instantaneously on screen. Would be harder to swallow after so much time has passed and I have a hard time envisioning Brandon pulling the wool over our eyes for so long but maybe he can do it in a way we will not feel cheated.
  23. I'll conceded we do not fully understand Autonomy's intent but taken at face value I just do not see how Harmony's would be opposite. To me they are pretty similar if using the text book definition of autonomy. In BoM when Wax and Sazed have their discussion Wax chastises Harmony for not interfering to save people and preventing deaths when he could. It is a long conversation but he says this about the people in the battle happening at the time. This sounds close to autonomy to me. Sazed is also concerned that he has made life too easy in the basin and that is preventing advancements in technology and exploration for instance they should have already had the radio. He views this as a mistake on his part which even Gods do make mistakes apparently. So I will conceded Sazed may not have been great at giving people autonomy and he does interfere like how he has manipulated Wax for major things. I do think though he does want his people to express free will and develop on their own as much as possible with out his interference very similar to autonomy.
  24. @Child of Hodor All great points.
