  1. I strongly agree with Oversleep. The way Arya run reminded me of this woman from Prometheus that run like all the time, minutes after a c-section (the machine closed the wound with a futuristic stapler... yeah). Both were so unrealistic that it killed the scenes.
  2. Well, it's not looking good. You were interested, I was interested and Chandrian PMed me that he'd be interested. 3 participants is not enough to start in my opinion, we'd need at least 5. Maybe Voidus would be interested once he's done moving?
  3. I propose compromise:
  4. The Shard definitely needs more kittens (or pugs). We don't need Aons, replace them with pugs and kittens!
  5. @Haelbarde @Delightful @Joe ST Tagging you, because you were interested in how I did that table and I don't know if you noticed this thread.
  6. @The Young Bard I've never really thought about it that way. What you say might be a part of the reason, yes. We also have to remember, that I'm active mainly in the General Discussion forum and Reckoners RP, so users that come here frequently will encounter my signature more often and they'll have more "points". I consider a given session (the second column is session id, used to recognize different browsers) recognized, once it scores 10 "points". Then the points keep growing, but it doesn't change anything @Delightful Actually there is no etymology or meaning behind it. Many years ago I needed a username for something or a name for character in a game and came up with it. I liked it, so I kept it It's also almost always available as a username on the Internet so I can keep my identity consistent
  7. It is the same site, no matter if on PC or on mobile. Just resize your browser window and make it really narrow, like a smartphone screen and you'll end up with "mobile version"
  8. Very good! To be precise it's the number my software managed to successfully associate your username with a single request for my signature.
  9. I guess so, but don't ask me about accents or anything do whatever you want with them
  10. I don't store your location data. I only store aggregated data to know your usernames. This data however can't be used for anything really. Here's what I've got about you in my database (displaying only data about the users my signature recognizes): I speak the "e" just like the "e" in meditate.
  11. So is it worse or better now? I didn't change anything, your Internet service provider must have assigned a different IP to you, that's mapped in the database I use to this location.
  12. You still have it better than us Europeans My morning -> Australian evening, American middle of the night. The Shard is almost deadly silent. My evening -> American morning, Australian night. Shard is just starting to wake up as most of Sharders are americans. My middle of the night -> American evening, Australian morning. Party time on the Shard, everyone is online etc.
  13. Haha, I haven't even noticed this Maybe I'll try waffles next time
  14. I'd also like to mention that the site is still missing HTTPS/SSL secure connections EDIT: Oh, a it would be nice to have facebook application correctly configured to allow us to login through facebook. Currently facebook states that the application is still in developement and only test users and administrators can use it.
  15. I honestly didn't notice what Twi was doing until I read my name So yeah, all the upvotes for Twi, this was super clever There should be a version in spoiler box with every user reference highlighted for those of us that don't catch them all
  16. I tried to make a colorful cheesecake and well... the result is not as good looking as I hoped, but still colorful and tasty ^^
  17. Making a table on the new version of the 17th Shard is possible, but not convenient. Without knowledge of HTML you won't make it, and being familiar with CSS can be helpful. First of all, you need to start a new post, and start writing. The new version of text editor doesn't use BBCode, but editable HTML elements. You can use the editor button to apply tags like <strong> or <em> to your text. When you press enter, you begin to edit a new <p> tag. Then, when you submit the post, the HTML code of your message is sent and saved*. The fact that we now write in HTML allows us to create a table. Unfortunately, there are no tools in current editor to do it easily, you'll need to dig into editing the code by hand. Now that you're in the editor, you should use the tools provided by your browser to edit the HTML code of you new message. In Chrome this can be done by right-clicking on the text and choosing "Inspect" (or something like that, I use Polish and I'm not sure which word they use in English Chrome). In Firefox there is something similar and I bet IE has it's own developers toolbox too. Once you open the editor, it should look like this for Chrome: Now just use the tools provided by the browser to edit the HTML code you see. The results should be similar to what you see on image below. Cell 1,1 Cell 2,1 Merged cells Bottom cell left Bottom cell right And that's all there is to it. You use style attribute of table cells to format the size, borders and text alignment. * The HTML code that you send to the server is analyzed by it and stripped from unallowed elements and style declarations. This is done for security reasons, so unfortunately, no CSS animations or shadows in our posts for now
  18. For me that's a feature. If I'm not on the bottom already, that means I'm reading something higher in the thread. Jumping to the new post would interrupt me and make me scroll up.
  19. Code is like steel. It needs pizza and coffee like steel needs iron and carbon.
  20. What I miss a lot right now is "go back to top" button on the bottom of the page. We had it in the previous version and it shouldn't be hard to add here too. Scrolling back to top on mobile is not the greatest thing and I have to scroll to top to see notifications
  21. All right, I'll make a topic about it once I get home. The site is easier to use on mobile now, but still not as comfortable as PC
  22. Only if admins won't cut my head off for spreading this knowledge
  23. I'm still going to try and hack a table into my post... This is a cell This too And another row! With longer text! Yeah!!! EDIT: @Chaos I have officially hacked a table around the new editor
  24. Press the little star on the left of the topic name, that works for me
  25. You go to sleep right now! We don't want you to press a wrong button and splinter the 17th Shard
