  1. Steelrunning too fast also doesn't tear you apart, last I checked, even when air resistance still would. If your hand is going fast enough while the rest of you is stationary you'd think you'll break something. Also seems to take minimal effort to stop without your insides being mushed around by the sudden deceleration when it should probably be as bad as hitting the ground after going over a cliff.
  2. Sigh. When will people realize the Nightwatcher doesn't actually always give you the boon you asked for?
  3. How much stormlight and gems would you even need for a Shardformer?!? Even Iron Man would be expensive to make. Granted if they could make it Windrun it'd be awesome. We ought to shove a Mistborn in one of these. But yeah, Age of Extinction was just weird. Good explosions, but that's it.
  4. Granted. A million dollars of quarters is summoned above you, burying you alive. I wish for one US dollar.
  5. Too bad it's probably impossible to have shardgrenades. We need shardcannonballs. Next best thing.
  6. Because this forum is infested with Textwallspren?
  7. A certain sword that shouldn't be here already appears to have become a major story element.
  8. I vaguely remember mention of ongoing political tension between Cryptics and Honorspren.
  9. Isn't there a planet in Greater Roshar where people get powers from diseases? Would be weird if investiture resists it.
  10. So vaporizing everything, theft-proofing via forced suicide after murdering surroundings, and consuming your soul on use is something a person would love? Perhaps the vaporizing part I guess.Other series spoilers My personal vote is tied between Vasher and Lightsong.
  11. Well, feruchemy already burns tons of handwavium. I guess it's a built-in feature of investiture now.
  12. I was under the impression that rioting can also only amplify existing emotions.
  13. He's currently into maximizing free will right now. He won't stop you from deciding to kill countless people or anything, but he'll do his best to find another person willing and capable of stopping you and nudging them a bit. Compared to Preservation who arguably was manipulating the situation just as much as Ruin was, at least as far as his near-death would allow. He doesn't need to do anything to us for balance, Scadrial by itself preserves and destroys plenty. He only has to move when things go completely out of line, like right now in the Wax and Wayne time period. Even then all he did was minimal backup.
  14. Well it could be a nonlethal epidemic I guess? The cold is still pretty annoying. The question is, is it Demoux, Galladon, or the other guy? Damnation to it all, worldhoppers. You mess with everything when you show up!
  15. Well the honorblades mostly still seem to at least be partly functional if not completely so, so that's out.
  16. Well just because he perhaps had supernatural help the first time doesn't mean he wasn't also a natural at it. Besides, when his skill left him along with Syl he had just fallen from fatal heights earlier and was pretty storming beat up. And probably pretty unfocused from his companion's absence.
  17. If you grew up with it probably not.
  18. It's kind of weird actually. If Stormform already existed before would an Everstorm not have been created once already? Unless Odium is pulling the Ruin gambit with the Listeners.
  19. I now want a Mistborn story about a Hazekiller really badly.
  20. You gotta remember though, David spent most of his life writing his Epic notes, cannibalizing terms from multiple actual classification systems (possibly incorrectly) and making up his own. When he is corrected by the actual expert he is probably willing to change his mind, but he's probably used to doing it wrong. He probably did have a different definition of High Epic once that subconsciously made him associate Regalia's threat level with Steelheart, and promptly caught himself after Tia pointed it out.
  21. Sourcefield and Mitosis probably already had records that he deduced it from. And Steelheart can fly, so mines don't really do much.
  22. When an entity with godlike power attempts to greatly alter the world, it is always good to have a reset button on hand, if you know what I mean.
  23. If they get surges I'd imagine they'd have about as much stormlight efficiency as a Honorblade user. The Lopen ran out so quickly getting his glowing done.
  24. I was under the impression that Lift's stormlight metabolism was the Nightwatcher's fault. Wyndle was wondering the whole time what sort of weird thing she asked for to become like this on top of being able to touch spren.
  25. Storms, man. You're supposed to ask for something! You can sink with New Zealand too.
