  1. The reason they normally trap the spren first these days is so they don't have to wait for the storm to come then attract a spren on the spot hoping it would work. Imagine trying to get mateform by standing out in a highstorm by doing kinky stuff or something while the environment is being torn to pieces. With the Stormfather watching. Yeah no. The highstorm seems required to transform so far. Or something similar like an Everstorm.
  2. He kind of died, just sat there for years doing nothing instead of passing on, then by good fortune Leras kicked the bucket and he finally had something to actually do for once. Man is persistent. He didn't really need more wine after that false bottom anyway.
  3. If he lacked the ability to see I don't think a storable trait would exist.
  4. He is the hero Scadrial needs. But not the one it deserves.
  5. Being animate doesn't just refer to motion guys >_>
  6. He's talking about sticking the illusion to the squire, I think.
  7. I spent my last semester of high school playing board games with people during study hall. And I had a lot of study halls.
  8. He is. . . the most interesting atheist god in the world. The funny part is how he never loses doing that. Ever.
  9. The spiritual damage is usually necessary to invest yourself, so I'd think to inhale stormlight at all the honorblade would have to break you. It does kind of explain the heralds going mad I guess?
  10. They might be stuck to the disk or something. Or Rashek was just a bit on the violent side. Why would Hoid need two beads?
  11. Sting people.
  12. His clothes would be blown off, but hey he's probably pretty buff considering.
  13. I'm now imagining this. The Lord Ruler will speed up, walk out of the army meant to distract him, go make and eat dinner, come back to sit in his swivel chair, slow down and spin for a while reading. At this point army blown away by sonic boom. Then TLR gets up after remembering the fight, getting back up to speed, casually run at the speed of sound over to Vasher who had just realized he disappeared and is awakening things in case of counterattack. TLR grabs Nightblood by the grip, flips it around, taps pewtermind and burns pewter, punches it into Vasher's chest at ultrasonic speeds, decelerate and watch everything blown away by the sonic boom again. Bonus points for "What, you didn't see that coming?" Honestly with just speed alone he can do so much when he can just tap for ages nonstop. He doesn't even need to go beyond that to kill most people in these vs polls. He can literally just walk off to grab a chunk of steel to eat and compound if he gets low and come back. Throwing strength into it too with that much momentum is overkill.
  14. Well there are guards for shardblades that stop them from cutting through everything they touch as well. We need someone to swing a shardblade at aluminum to see if it does anything. The fact the Nightblood sheath keeps impaling people is odd though.
  15. The spiritweb doesn't really have to say anything about how old you are on the spiritweb, at least I can't think of a good reason it would be necessary. It's kind of pointless with all the ways for souls to live forever between biochroma, Heralds, Shards, and Kelsier just outright refusing to properly kick the bucket. The only real issue ever encountered that needs magic is to make the body stick around that long without all the genetic breakdown.
  16. Maybe it just causes instantaneous aging of the body with no effect on growth?
  17. You do realize that treating age separately from youth is as nonsensical as treating heat and cold as different things?
  18. Imagine actually getting close to the Lord Ruler period. The guy with near limitless mental and physical speed, absurd superhuman strength, can shrug off being impaled. He'd walk right through the army and just snap your neck with a punch if he tried.
  19. We're also assuming the feedback loop of making choices based on what choices you made in the future (like with two people using atium on each other) won't just split the electrum shadow the instant you start burning or some other pointless effect like that. I mean aluminum gets to be normally useless too.
  20. Would Marsh even have a steelmind at that point? Feruchemy spikes were rare before the end of the world started and Marsh went full murderer on us. Most inquisitors had bare necessities like gold feruchemy if that. And Inquisitors can compound properly so it shouldn't be too slow at the very least. Steel doesn't improve your reaction time anyway.
  21. . . . I doubt stormlight is lethal. It even regenerates you. Worst case scenario you end up ascending.
  22. Well omnidirectional gravity requires reverse lashing, which we have never seen stacked IIRC. And requires contact, so you'll tear yourself apart?
  23. We already know Denth lied without even consulting the annotations (I think that's where Sanderson outright says it?) from the fact that Vasher would've died at least three times over otherwise. But the breath does not make up the entire spiritweb anyway, or you'd simply die from your soul being severed.
  24. When you think the same due to not even having any change.
  25. Rope failed. And the April Fools Stick interlude probably had something to do with it.
