  1. 1. Swimming in open water. If I'm on a boat, or can still feel the lake bed/ocean floor under my feet I'm fine. But if the water is deeper than I am tall (which is more often than I'd like, I'm kinda short ) I can't shake the feeling that something is swimming underneath me, waiting to attack. 2. Needles. There really is nothing to this fear besides the fact that I am terrified of needles. I'm okay with other sharp things, just not needles. The only times I've ever passed out were while I was getting shots. 3. Doors. (I know, it's strange. Like really, brain? Doors?!? Could you have come up with anything weirder than that? ) More specifically, the act of opening a door. When I was a young tyke, I saw the scene in Harry Potter where Harry walks into his room and Dobby is on his bed. It scared the crap out of me, and whenever I open a door I imagine some horrible creature on the other side of it. Now whenever I'm home alone I always keep doors I know I'm going to walk through open, and doors I won't walk through shut. 4. Finally, change. I despise change. At one point, it was so bad that I wouldn't go to sleep at night because I knew the next day would be different from the last. Okay. Now that my multiple fears are laid bare, try not to judge too much.
  2. Okay. I'm confused. Maybe I should go back up the rails to find out why you people are charging full steam ahead with these puns.
  3. Delightful is correct! Everything has already been done, to one extent or another. The trick is putting your own spin on it, so that no one cares. Back on topic! When you compare Tinkerbell to Syl and find her wanting.
  4. Such cute, much adorbs. I may or may not be addicted to Trivia Crack. You know. In case you were wondering.
  5. Yeah, my parents were always against magic too. The only magic I had in my childhood was from Narnia and LoTR, and that's just because Gandalf is an angel and Aslan is Jesus. To be fair though, there are some magic systems that call up demons and warrant sacrifices and other uplifting things like that. But still, there are plenty of perfectly harmless magic systems out there. Such as Allomancy!
  6. Ahhhhh. Yeah my parents were like that too. At least until I turned eighteen and "became an adult".
  7. I think it's pretty funny how you started with the most recent game instead of, I don't know, the first one. But don't worry I did pretty much the same thing with Brotherhood. I was confused as all get out whenever the scenes with Desmond came around.
  8. Last night it was more the weird dream fairy for me. I was just going about my business and then BAM. My entire family and I teleported to Russia for a vacation. I know. Anyway, after wandering the streets for a bit and seeing the sights, I ended up having an intense and deep discussion about life and death with a hobo. Who was drunk, 60+ years and Ukrainian. I then got cornered on a dock by neighbors I haven't seen in half a decade. I didn't want to talk to them because I'm socially awkward and hadn't seen them in such a long time. So I just stood there. Until my alarm woke me up. It was strange, people.
  9. I will definitely check it out! Always looking for a good read.
  10. I have decided that my character for Gen 2 will be Fortis Protegat. The Lord of house Protegat stepped out from the alley way. Passersby heard him mumble a long string of curses under his breath. I'm late to the game, he mused silently. He walked down the street before stopping suddenly. Fortis. The idea had struck him out of nowhere. Lord Protegat spun on his heel abruptly, going back the way he had come. I will have much to teach the boy before he will be ready. But at least I have plenty of time... plenty of time indeed. He disappeared into the shadows, already the beginning of plans that would take decades to come to fruition in his thoughts.
  11. axcellence, do yourself a favor and keep reading until the end of Lies, the climax is amazing, brilliant and totally worth the read. As for Butcher, I haven't read his Dresden Files, but from what you say he treats the women in the Codex Alera better. They're all independent and strong, collected and able to keep their head in a tough situation. So I would definitely add votes to Pat Rothfuss, Brent Weeks, Butcher's Codex Alera and Scott Lynch. You should probably go ahead and Peter V Brett on the list too. He writes some really good stuff!
  12. When you're disappointed in how darn tiny non-Sanderson books are.
  13. I came up with a new race, guys! Although they are basically giant, bipedal porcupines. Their social standing revolves around the length of their spines, those with longer spines are respected more than those with short spines. Outcasts have their spines ripped out as a mark of shame. ......That's really all I have at the moment, but I'm still working on them.
  14. Hello! I'm cursing myself for not finding this in time for Gen 1. Do you mind throwing me onto the roster for Generation 2, please?
  15. Which AC is it? Without playing Unity or Rogue, I'm going to have to say that Black Flag was my favorite. Although Brotherhood was a lot of fun too. I'm a sucker for being able to upgrade your weapons/ship/allies.
  16. I'm on the East Coast so actually it was 1 a.m. when you posted that. And now it's 3 a.m. so I'm assuming it's 2 there. Aren't time zones trippy?
  17. You have no idea how upset I was when I was sorted into Ravenclaw instead of Gryffindor. I was crushed.
  18. Oooooo. Pizza. Chicago style is the best. Also you find quail humorous? Whatever for? Wait... whatever for? Is that right? That doesn't sound grammatically correct... TwiLyght is that grammatically correct?
  19. When you go skydiving and pretend to be a Windrunner. Or when you are terrified of needles, but try to play it off like you're just worried about Hemallurgy.
  20. I thought it was pretty good up until the ending. I feel like the ending was a bit rushed. Also, didn't Blue die? How did she save the T-Rex if she was already killed?
  21. Cinnamon toast or French toast? Also, what is your element as seen on the Periodic Table?
  22. Favorite mythological creature? Favorite emoji? Favorite bird?
  23. Anduril or Excalibur? What is your favorite ice cream flavor and why? Have you read Harry Potter? If so, which one was you favorite, and which one was your least favorite? Please elaborate and show your work. If you were stuck on a desert island, and could only bring one magical item, what would it be?
  24. ..............I honestly don't know how to react to that one.
  25. I would give the army to The Doctor... but that is a little scary, can you imagine what he could do with an army? So, read about The Doctor. I don't think Bomber would be a very good President, so I guess I'll give him the army. And thus the Oval Office goes to Pinky Pie. She's good right? (I don't Pony, in case it wasn't obvious.) And Player B's next three characters are Percy Jackson, Kvothe from the Kingkiller Chronicles and Sabetha from the Gentlemen Bastards.
