In my opinion, SA would make an awesome TV series. If a long winded one. And the same could probably be said for Mistborn as well.

It certainly is a good way to develop a love for reading! Of course by the time ninth grade rolled around, I had long before developed a taste for devouring books. I remember going to the library as a young lad and checking out the maximum number of books allowed every trip. Ahhh good times, good times.

When you wish that you could lash your little brother to the wall, but realize he would probably be more annoying than Lopen. -
Heck yeah! Homeschoolers unite! Haha. I also got to choose what I wanted to read, but my teacher (i.e., mom) was astonished that I wanted to put down a fifty page book. She made me read it due to the fact that it was a classic and that I could probably (maybe) learn something of value from it. So I guess not too different. My high school experience was basically the same as every other homeschooled kid.

When you fashion your own Mistcloak and wear it while pretending to Push and Pull yourself across your room on a spinny chair... not that I've done it before... -
Eh, it depends on the book. If I actually like it, then no it doesn't bother me. However if I don't enjoy the book, it makes it so much worse. For example, I really enjoyed The Count of Monte Cristo, and read my 700 page edition within two weeks. But it took me just under three weeks to read Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, which is only fifty pages.

Experiences in sharing Sanderson novels
DanTheSeamonster replied to Kestrel's topic in General Brandon Discussion
I have converted my little brother, and we both are in love with SA. Almost all of our conversations now have an SA reference or inside joke, and we may or may not have crafted our own six foot Shardblades, and we may or may not use them to perform mock Shardbearer duels in our backyard. Also I have gotten my friend to read WoK. He loved it, and is now halfway through WoR!! -
Kobold King is Actually Brandon
DanTheSeamonster replied to Elithanathile's topic in General Brandon Discussion
Well, Mr. Kobold-Octo-Brandon-Bot, I would be impressed if you had seen yourself typing in keyboard shattering glory. Unless of course, you keep a mirror handy for when you write? In which case I applaud your sense of foresight.- 55 replies

I agree with Dunkum. Definitely the City Watch, some of my favorites from the whole world. Also, I really enjoyed Going Postal and it's two sequels as well. Sheer hilarity. And as for books I'm currently reading, I'm going through Firefight, Red Seas Under Red Skies (dang book is taking me ages to read it )and Princep's Fury at the moment.

I predicted that Megan was an Epic, mostly because of the whole elevator thing. Not that she had Reincarnation or that she was Firefight though. I was wayyyyyyy off on my prediction of Steelheart's weakness too. I thought he could only be harmed when someone shot him through someone else. (As was the case with David's father in the bank. The bullet went through Deathpoint, then it hit Steelheart.) So... yeah way off. I usually only guess about one third of Sanderson's twists correctly anyway, so I guess there's nothing new here haha.

I've heard of Bang! before. My brother played it at a party once and he describes it as Mafia but with cowboys. -

Transformation! It would be awesome to mess with people by changing their drinks in their cups or doors into walls. And you know, I guess good stuff too. -
I just finished Ready Player One last night and it was excellent. I am two hundred pages into Cursor's Fury by Jim Butcher. One hundred pages into Red Seas Under Red Skies by Scott Lynch, and plan to start Steelheart today. I'm so excited!

I wrote this Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children fan fiction as a creative writing assignment. My instructor and my other classmates really enjoyed it though, so I thought I would put it up on here and see what you guys think of it. Any thoughts, criticisms or compliments? Thanks guys, hope you like it! Miss Peregrine's Fanfic.docx

Are you a Windrunner? Because I think my heart was just lashed to yours. Also, I must be a Spinner, because meeting you was the luckiest moment in my life.

Board Games Anyone?

I can now say that Forbidden Island is a really fun game. I also can now say that Tokaido is also a butt-load of fun. I ordered it about a week ago and my family and I have been playing it almost non-stop. Plus I've won most of the games so . . .
