  1. Completely off topic, but how did Gargoyle manage to quote something from another topic? Is it just BBCode editing or is there a way I don't know of?
  2. I did something like this a while ago. Strangely, it's almost the opposite to yours. Here's the link. I can see why you chose the order you did, but I attempted to base my reading order on those 'easter eggs' you mentioned, with books arranged in such a way that they could be understood by someone who is paying attention. Just one minor nit pick from me... The Wax and Wayne books aren't part of the second trilogy. They're sort of a series 1.5, set between the medieval and modern trilogies. The third series will be sci-fi.
  3. More new information. Well... not exactly new. Calamity's release date has been around for a while, but I've only gotten around to adding it now.
  4. Uhhh... I'm Australian too. No Cortana for me. And yes, I have checked my cookie settings a dozen times. It still works in Chrome though, so I'll just use that when editing the Coppermind.
  5. I tried logging into the Coppermind recently on Microsoft Edge, but it wouldn't let me. It said that I needed to 'enable cookies', even though I already had cookies enabled. I double checked on Chrome, but it still worked fine. Does anyone have idea why that would be? Can someone else who has upgraded to Windows 10 confirm whether it's just my computer or an actual flaw in the script?
  6. I will kill those who are evil, even when I'm not particularly sure what evil is. On a more serious note, I don't think it would work exactly that way. A Nahel Bond works two ways, sentience on one side, fancy magic powers on the other. Nightblood already has sentience (to a degree), and what sort of magic powers would it bestow? WoR spoiler:

    .

Did you choose the symbols randomly, or does that somehow actually represent the words 'Don't panic'.
  8. Fair enough. Oh well.
  9. He's in the extended edition, actually. But the extended edition's surprisingly difficult to get...
  10. They still could sort of be compatible. Yours focuses on general eras for the most part, while mine seems to have a lot more attention in specific events. It still could be labelled as a timeline or something similar, and I'll work on it from that point. I think it could help, because I've always had some confusion in my head about where the various world's timelines sit with each other, and I'm sure others have too. I'll work on it for a while and see how that goes. If it doesn't work, I'll delete the page.
  11. I'm working on a 'History of the Cosmere' page on the Coppermind. I still need to flesh out the details in each one, and create some sort of Universal Cosmere Calendar to compare dates, but I think I have all the main events I need. Can someone confirm/ deny this? Also, I thought the Everstorm was just the starting point for the true desolation, but they seem to be registered as the same thing. Can someone tell me whether it's the Coppermind or my memory that's wrong? So, here it is. PLEASE NOTE: THIS HAS MAJOR SPOILERS FOR SEVERAL COSMERE NOVELS. History of the Cosmere Thanks, TheYoungBard
  12. @Arook: Not the navigation boxes. Here is an example from the Final Ascension page. At the bottom, there is a "History of the Cosmere" bar, and a "History of Scadrial" bar. The problem is, if you were to click on the next box over, 'Remaking of Scadrial', then it would redirect you to the Scadrial page, and there is no way to see what the next page after that in the history of Scadrial after that is. @JoeST/Fbstj: Thanks. I'll start working on it.
  13. I've frequently seen the pages at the bottom of the page with information on, for example, "History of the Cosmere". The annoying thing is, these things often break off halfway, sometimes not allowing you to go pack to the previous page. I feel if we were to have a page with, in order, links to all the pages in the "History of the Cosmere" category, that it would be easier to navigate. Same applies to others like this. I'd be willing to work on this, but I'd just like to get approval from admin before I do, in case there's another plan that I don't know about.
  14. Is there any way of seeing whether someone has started working on a page in their sandbox without physically looking at every single user page in the Coppermind. I had this problem when I redid the Final Ascension page, which was seriously underdeveloped.
  15. Also, who is TPWCHT? The person who c h t?
  16. Rending is probably just a coincidence, as Reckoners and the Rithmatist are different universes. Shash, however, might not be. I think we have a WoB that the influence from the shards mean that nearly all of the languages in the Cosmere were in some way influenced by the original Yolish language. I'll try and find it later.
  17. I had to edit out about ten minutes of gushing and yelling and screaming, which in turn is only a small portion of what I felt like in real life. Suffice to say, I am excited for a Sanderson movie to come out. And, can I just say, Steelheart is probably the easiest film to turn into a movie.
  18. So, if you gave a method of getting in touch, do we still have to contact you, or will you reach out to us? I'm not certain.
  19. Is there somewhere where you learn this sort of thing? I have a basic knowledge of electronics, but understandably don't want to spend a few hundred dollars to buy equipment that I might destroy if I do it wrong.
  20. They're real. I just looked them up. (Well, technically, it's Quetzcoatlus, but close enough.) Links to the Wikipedia page in the quote.
  21. And another Doctor Who fan joins the forums... Watch out, MLP fans, we might just outnumber you yet!
  22. Yes, I looked up his profile. He was active yesterday, under his regular peudonym.
  23. Which would you describe it as most like 1) MacGyver 2) Ocean's Eleven 3) Mistborn: The Final Empire (In other words, are you focusing on ingenuity or action as the focus of your plot?) If it's action, then put in all manner of ghastly nightmares to put in the way. If it's ingenuity, however, then think of more impossible puzzle type conondrums. Example: Wall which will only move with the correct golem-ID implanted in them. All golems are evil, so no cheating and getting a helper. If you kill the golem, the ID self-destructs. If the ID is exposed to open air, it self-destructs. They can't be knocked unconscious. It's difficult to remove the ID, as it is buried underneath stone skin. Solution: Bond golem with Play-Doh (or high fantasy equivalent) to make the golem malleable, and collect ID from inside. To keep it from reaching open air, you leave a tiny amount of Play-Doh around it. Obviously, you'd use something more inventive and outside the box than what I invented on the fly, but you get the point I'm trying to make. Actually, one suggestion as I was writing that. Say you bond stone and paper. Why not have a Feruchemy "balance" like system? While the paper takes on the properties of stone, the stone takes on the consistency of paper. How does the magic decide what properties to transfer across. With the paper-stone example, why would it only change strength, and not color, flammable-ness, malleability, etc.
  24. Just a note... Chaos (the main administrator of these forums) bans people with multiple accounts, for fairly obvious reasons. If you think your brother has an account, it might be good to mention it here, to prevent him accidentally banning you. Also, welcome to the site!
