Favorite cosmere character quote!
hoidhunter replied to Sylfan's topic in General Brandon Discussion
“Don’t try,” Waxillium said. “Logic doesn’t work on Wayne.” “I bought a ward against it off a traveling fortune-teller,” Wayne explained. “It lets me add two ’n’ two and get a pickle.”- 66 replies

Straff Venture = Christopher Walkin, Kelsier = Gary Busey, Elend = Michael Sera, Ham = Seth Rogan, Breeze = Danny McBride, Dockson = Jim Carey, Clubs = Jerry Stiller, Spook = Taylor Lautner, Vin = Abigail Breslin, The Lord Ruler = Jeff Goldbloom Hoid should probably be played by me...

Miles Hundredlives, and the thing he said (Possible spoilers?)
hoidhunter replied to TheOneKEA's topic in Mistborn
"Bearers of the Final metal"...I remeber reading something about "harmonium"...Which would be the last metal to be added to the pool of allomantic metals...do you think Miles (or whatever was acting through him) knows something about this? -

You Know You're a Sanderfan When...
hoidhunter replied to Shardbearer's topic in General Brandon Discussion
When your wife and coworkers know almost as much about the cosmere as you do...even though they've never read any of the books... When you read your newborn son so much Sanderson that his first words may end up being "Mistborn" or "Life before death."... When you come home from work and your wife asks how you day was...and your reply is..."Well some the other members on the forum really liked one of my theories..." -

"How's life up there in the mists? Life's good, I assume? What with you being God, and all?" Wayne -"You're right nice, but you ain't got enough punch for me. I like women what could take my face clean off with a good roundhouse." Marasi- "You prefer women who could beat you up?" Wayne- "Sure. It's a thing." -

So...on the topic of Szeth and the unmade... “Yelig-nar, called Blightwind, was one that could speak like a man, though often his voice was accompanied by the wails of those he consumed.” Yelig-nar had broken into Nohadon's chancery and slaughtered all Nohadon's wordsmen. When Szeth closes his eyes...he hears the screams of all the people he has killed. Throughout the story...Szeth becomes more and more unhinged. Do you think there could be some kind of relationship here. Perhaps Yelig-nar is an unmade that bonds with someone who is really dangerous and homicidal (the way honor spren are attracted to honorable people)...then pushes them to become more so...feeding off of the souls of those that they kill?

I've got a hunch that the horrible place of torture and suffering that the herald's are sent to between desolations is actually Braize, and they are actually being physically transported there. Being that it sounds like the worst place imaginable...I'm pretty sure that this is where odium has set up shop.

17th shard = switzerland...it turns out that the 17th shard is holding all the investiture that odium has stolen from people during his blitzkrieg across the cosmere...(I wonder which planet Poland is?)

I realize this...however...if you read the passage...even his manner of speech seems similar to a terrisman steward. If you replace brightness with mistress each time he says it...it sounds exactly like Sazed talking to Vin. I know that it's not solid evidence...but it does add some credibility...by the way...upvote to WEZ for finding this in the first place...I already upvoted you in the first thread you posted it in...but I'm doing it again anyway...

Shard of atheism...only grants power to people who don't believe in it...which in turn makes them believe in it...which takes away their powers...

Someone pointed out somewhere (I can't remember where) that he may have drained the gemstones in his own shardplate by instinctively drawing in the stormlight. I think this is possible...but Dalinar never seems to have this problem...

I'm inclined to agree. I'm really curious though...is he originally from Scadrial and became a worldhopper after (like Demoux) or is he from somewhere else, and he had a reason to be on Scadrial. If you look at it the right way...he gives characters critical information at the perfect time to massively impact how the story turns out. If Elend never found out about Vin being a skaa...he wouldn't have gone to rescue her and they would never have become a couple...all sorts of things would be different on Scadrial...Ruin may have even won. If he hadn't told Shallan about a certain plateau being perfectly circular...she would have never found the oathgate...and the highstorm and everstorm would have probably wiped out several of our main characters...including a few radiants. I do have to say that...like Hoid...he has a tendency to be in the right place at the right time...and to make a huge impact on the story, without drawing much attention to himself at all. I find this to be highly suspect.

Finding Felt in two different books was what actually led me to make my very first post on 17th shard. At first I was under the impression that it was Hoid in disguise, using a pseudonym...but at the time I didn't realize how many world hoppers there were. While the physical description seems similar...nothing that Felt does or says seems very Hoidish...also...in WoR Felt (well...it's implied that it's Felt) speaks with Shallan directly...and she doesn't recognize him... If I every make it to a book signing...I'm totally asking Brandon to confirm Felt as a worldhopper...I might try an squeeze in what planet he was born on and whether or not he is 17th shard as well... By the way...a while ago someone pointed out that a bridgeman that talks to Shallan in WoR is pretty obviously described as a Terrisman...let me see if I can find it... He was a tall handsome man, who's arms seemed entirely too long for his body. - chapter 80 to fight the rain. A bridgeman who talks to Shallan

In WoR there is an ardent that is sketching pictures of the bridgemen...he mutters something about their tattoos being hard to draw correctly...I believe that this is supposed to be Nazh...I could be wrong...

Random thought association from looking at your post...(I'm not sure if this is possible inside of the realm of the cosmere) but it would be awsome to be able to soul stamp your cat so that he/she talked like wit. I would love to have a pet kitty that insulted people for me!
