  1. He could prove that he was insane to stay out of trouble. He could just have one of his hallucinations help him act the part. I could see him doing just that. As for the press, they would eat it up and help sway public opinion toward his insanity. They actually want him to be crazy. The fact still stands that he could become a legal expert in a day if he had to. Just glance through a couple law books, reason out the rest of the laws as he goes. Easy.
  2. I think Warbreaker would be an incredibly dull movie and a worse TV show. Steelheart would be a perfect movie or miniseries. If it was a miniseries, they could do little shorts in between and that way they could do Mitosis. Stormlight Archive would make terrible books and TV shows. Not even a miniseries would be good enough for it. Mistborn might be a good TV show, but not a movie. Too much happens in it to be a movie, but with a TV show, you could have some good cliffhangers for each episode. Emperor's Soul and Elantris would be pretty awesome to see in the same movie if there was a stronger connection between them. As it stands, ES couldn't even be called a sequel. Alcatraz movies would suck. A lot. It would be a repeat of the Percy Jackson disaster. The thing about a Shadows for Silence type TV series is that it wouldn't be Sanderson. It would be someone else making up the plotlines, where Mistborn already has one to follow. Legion would be a good TV series because of the individual cases with the overarching background story. It's almost perfect for a TV series. Those are my thoughts.
  3. Lol, that's a good point! I have to point out one thing, though. Leeds could easily beet the charges with an insanity plea. He is easily smart enough to become an expert in law and come up with a better defense than insanity as well, but insanity is the easiest way to go. He would never go to jail for it in a million years.
  4. I love the wordplay that Sanderson gets to use, and uses well, because of the nature of Stephen and Tobias' similar diagnosis in the first book, but I missed it in the second one! I really want those jokes back. Oh well, it was still a great story. I loved the ending, but I called it the second he saw the mother. It was just a little bit predictable, but not bad at all.
  5. Shallan is a wimp. She would never consider fighting unless someone cornered her (like a chasm fiend or Tin). When you consider the facts, such as Vin can burn Atium and all Shallan can do is soul cast (almost), show pretty pictures in 3D, and cower in fear, there is no contest. Kaladin in shardplate might give Vin a run for her money, but one well placed dagger and he's gone. Kaladin out of Shardplate would probably be tougher to kill, but Atium is still a thing. If Kaladin could stay alive until Vin ran out of Atium, that would be awesome.
  6. .... You are one backwards cookie. I really did like the old ones when I was four, but then when I grew up they were just bad. The new ones do a good job at conveying the message of the story while still not being cheesier than the leaning tower of cheese in A Goofy Movie.
  7. Granted, but it will never blow again. I wish for an end to my current nightmare (life being very difficult right now).
  8. Harry Potters 1, 2, 4, 6, and Part 2 of 7 were all good. 3, 5, and 7 sucked. Stardust the movie was indeed awesome, but I liked the book for the most part. Have you guys seen the BBC miniseries of The Chronicles of Narnia? Those followed books really closely, but had absolutely terrible actors and special effects. It was so bad. The newer ones do a good job on almost every count.
  9. Granted, but you lose all knowledge you had in your current life. I wish for a pay raise.
  10. Granted, but no one likes you because you're a know it all. I wish for a lot of compliments.
  11. Nice! That is awesome!
  12. Grave digging. http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=BJushnYJvQs
  13. Yeah, okay. But that would be one freaky moose.
  14. I said moose. Moose can't be Mistborn. Probably.
  15. Granted, but your reign only lasts a couple of days before you get freaks out by an assassination attempt, pack up your things and move back to the plantation. The shock you went through only serves to revert you to your original state. I.E. you still aren't any good at it. I wish for a moose.
  16. You are a plantation nobleman and you aren't any good at it. I wish that the moon was just a little bit bigger.
  17. Lol, I love Dr. Nick.
  18. I'm going. Nothing in the 'verse or the Cosmere could stop me!
  19. Loving and hating gods. There's an idea. Not just gods, though. Any higher power. http://t.co/SksvZAfeOf

  20. What did you guys think about the book?
  21. Welcome, sir! Have you read anything else by Mr. Sanderson? There are many books that are tied into the Stormlight Archive, though you don't have to read them. Have an up vote.
  22. We have two cases of Shards being used in a digestive system. First, we have Allomancy which (I think) let's people control their digestion of metals to "burn" them. Then, we have Lift being able to metabolize stormlight. A tentative connection to this is breathing in stormlight. Kaladin, Moash, Dalinar, and Shallan all breath in the stormlight, freeing them from the need of oxygen. I have two(ish) questions. 1. Do the worms in the Aviars gain their power from the different bird meet they eat? 2. Does having access to a magic system change the genetic make up of the body to be able to use the magic? (3. If number two is correct and if the tentative connection turns out to be a good one, does stormlight replace air?)
  23. Why doesn't Kaladin have a beard? I could have sworn he had one.
  24. Technology hasn't quite progressed to the point where they can run Crisis yet, but the robot thing is kosher.
