  1. I would love to join. I don't go to BYU, but I live in the area. If you met on campus, but opened the group up to anyone willing to come, I would absolutely love to do it.
  2. Oh, definitely! I loved the formation of the religion and watching Vin as she became the kind of person who could be dietified.
  3. Mine is WoK for sure. I also really like Firstborn.
  4. Sazed is one of my heroes! Inspirational to say the least. When you say Church of the Savior you mean... what exactly?
  5. Done. Thanks, man. You didn't give me much in the way of answers, btw.
  6. When the only emails you actually check are notifications from 17th Shard.
  7. I want to talk about the Worthing Saga. First, has anyone else on this forum read it? Second, I think it's awesome, but am willing to change my mind. Anyone want to try to persuade me one way or the other?
  8. Why are there so many bronies that are also fans of Brandon Sanderson? Please explain. No offense intended to anyone who is a brony. I just see a lot of them and I'm curious to find out why there is an overlap between the two fandoms.
  9. I like him so far. I hope he can live up to his reputation.
  10. Excellent refutation of my theory! I agree with you, which is to say that I'm wrong. Thanks, Moogle!
  11. The Stormlight that Dalinar now has access to would help to keep his body in good health, so that could survive forcing longer than his father's. Also, just because his father had a weakness in his mind in his later years, that doesn't mean that Dalinar will inherently. Keep an eye out, folks. I think Dalinar will be leading the Radiants for a very long time. Now Lift. Lift is an amazing person. I like that she has her goals and doesn't let anyone, let alone the thing bonded to her very soul, get in the way. That is a good attribute to have, especially for someone with compassion like hers. It makes her more likely to be the kind of person who will protect like Kaladin wants to with all the healing power of an Edgedancer. All in all, I like Lift. My favourite character in all of the Cosmere is still Kaladin. And maybe Dalinar.
  12. I know that in this context God is synonymous with Adonalsium, but I don't think it should be. I think Adonalsium was a copy of the attributes of God that was broken and scattered. I don't think it was a copy of God, just a copy of his attributes. Also, read the Letter again. Hoid isn't part of the 17th Shard and neither is the guy he wrote to. I can repeat all this again, but it would save time if you would read things all the way through.
  13. You know how in Thor they say that magic and tech is one and the same? That's what you made me think of. Magic doesn't corrupt, it makes amplifies. Just something to think about in relation to your point. Again, this was just a theory.
  14. Re: Shaggai. I didn't say Adonalsium was God. That's an assumption that everyone makes but I don't think it's right. I also don't think Hoid is part of the 17th Shard. He might have founded them or even controls them now, but I don't think that's right either. Also, the man who swore non intervention was not part of the 17th Shard either. Go reread the Letter again.
  15. Kaladin was a disappointing character in WoR. Just saying.

    1. Newan

      Newan

Wouldn't it be nice if Stormlight could heal chronic depression?

  16. Adolnasium needs to be destroyed as well as its aspects. In The Lord of the Rings, the way everything was resolved was magic being taken out of the world. In this, magic, shards, slivers, and all, will have to be abolished throughout the universe for true peace to be acquired. The shattering of the Almighty was a mistake. The only way to fix a mistake like this is to get rid of it and maybe start over to do it better. This is just a theory, but I'm fairly certain that it will have to happen for a true resolution. Thoughts?
  17. God is still whole. His attributes where copied and scattered. Rayse holds the wrath of God, Odium, with non of the context. I don't know if Hoid is trying to put it together or destroy Odium for the greater good. The Almighty said to destroy Odium, so that should be an indication. I believe Hoid is good. I think he has one of the attributes of God, the one that gives him knowledge of parables without giving him any context, like Odium. My bet is that he goes around doing what the attribute wants him to do.
  18. One was described as glowing while the other was not. My guess is that the stone Gavilar had was a type of fabrial that was discovered but not made. I'm thinking it's unique to Roshar and Greater Roshar.
  19. Thank you, Connor.
  20. Hello. I am Jabberwocky42. I have read most of Sanderson's books, including Alcatraz books. I'm just as frustrated as the rest of you all that there probably won't be a fifth for years. I consider myself something of an expert on what is known of the Cosmere, having read and tried to help improve the Coppermind. This page seems like fun, so here I am. A little bit about me, I am a musician. I play guitar and piano and love to compose. I am a lover of quality books, which is why I am here. I also like religions. I am a member of the LDS church, but like to learn of everyone's religions. I believe that they all have truth in them. Any questions?
