  1. Psh, I know I was just testing y'all. Yeah....
  2. The reason I would re-read it is to get back into the world. It is hard to take a break for so long. Plus, there is a potential set up at the end. Just read it. It's good.
  3. It's a TARDIS in that TARDIS junkyard on the outside of the universe with The Father. You don't know how to fix a TARDIS, do you, Mr. King? I wish for a lovely bunch of coconuts. They don't have to be standing in a row, but that would be preferable.
  4. No, he is just left with a shadow of what he once was and only holds one of the powers of Allomancy.
  5. Umm.... Granted. You are now a Mistborn worm. You are very tiny and it is very funny. I wish for unlimited battery life for a perfect phone that I own.
  6. My takeaway from it is that slivers are shadows of the shards. When Preservation was a sliver of his former self, he only held the power of Gold, the Allomantic metal that allows you to see your past. The most useless of them all. Edit: I know it's not a complete theory, but the series isn't complete either. I can be right, still.
  7. I really thought they were the same. That's why I was so confused that Odium was afraid of Sazed when Sazed would theoretically hold the same amount of power as the Almighty. If Odium was afraid of Sazed, why wouldn't he be afraid of the Almighty? It never fit to me. Now, knowing Cultivation is separate from Honor, it makes sense.
  8. Doctor: Matt Smith. He is so much like me. I like characters I identify with, and he is the one. Companion: Clara. She is so hot. That, and she is really hot. I know it's shallow. I don't care. I really like A Good Man Goes to War. It is the time when his consequences catch up to him and that speaks to me. I also love anything with The Master or anything Gallifreyan.
  9. Thank you, that was really bothering me. A lot.
  10. When you are more excited to meet Sanderfans than celebrities.
  11. First, thank you all for the positive feedback for this idea! Second, I disagree when you say Sanderson doesn't have a distinctive writing voice. Specifically in the dialogues he writes, he is distinctive, at least to me. It's a very moderate, interesting, tone. Maybe I'm wrong. The influence that Sanderson has on us specifically is in our characters. The influence in the rest of the community is the uniqueness of his magic systems and the kinds of plot twists. Again, I may be wrong, but this is what I think.
  12. I want to submit something... different. It's a journal of someone... different. It's not polished and it is something I dashed off in about an hour, but I still want to see what y'all think.
  13. I have noticed something amazing while I have been in this writing group: We all are trying to emulate Brandon Sanderson's writing style. We use a similar tone in our writings, we format things similarly, and we all try to build our worlds after the pattern of Sanderson. Maybe this has been brought up before, and it's too general to be a true statement, but I just thought I should point out how much Sanderson is influencint the writing world, at least on the forum. It makes reading things others submit fun. I get to look for similarities between his writing and ours.
  14. Indeed you did! I'm sorry, sir.
  15. It doesn't completely dismiss the idea, however.
  16. Cultivation doesn't necessarily create, he grows things. Ruin is a destructive power, a regressive one. Cultivation is a progressive one, but not always a creative one.
  17. I see. So we still may be able to extrapolate, just not as accurately.
  18. I did point that one out already in my first post here.
  19. In Mistborn, we have two opposing shards that complemented each other and tried to destroy each other. Is it safe to assume that we can extrapolate what the names, or at least temperaments, of the unknown shards are by assuming they each have an opposite? We have Ruin and Preservation as opposites, so there must be more that are opposite of each other. Odium can have some shard that embodies love as an opposite. Honor can have something embodying dishonor or betrayal. Maybe Odium and Honor are opposites already, I don't know. This however, seems likely to me. Thoughts? Problems? Guesses?
  20. I was in the musical twice. The cut out my part when they did the movie, but they really did a fantastic job!
  21. I am a music major. I play piano, guitar, drums, and ukulele. I also sing. I don't like to toot my own horn, but I totally do; I'm really good.
  22. Or Shawn's relationship with Juliet in Psych. Or that thing happening with Forever.
  23. Who saw Into the Woods? Who loved it as much as I did? Who is on the other side of the opinions, hating it instead of loving it? Who is on the fence?
  24. Szeth.
  25. Well, if Vin has Atium... she would kick Szeth's butt. If she doesn't, Szeth might have a chance. I still think Szeth would lose.
