    I am so sorry that you have to deal with your grandmother's sickness and your own maladies. My grandpa has cancer right now as well and he has Alzheimer's. He doesn't remember himself and he is dying. I sympathise with your pain, but don't understand what it's like first hand. I hope with all of my heart that you don't have to deal with them much longer and that you will have the mental and emotional capacity to deal with it in the mean time.

    It is probably a shard. People tend to worship the shards of their world (The Almighty, The Lord Ruler). There are exceptions like on Nalthis, but my money is on a shard.

    The main problem with this is we have no way to quantify Stormlight or Breath. We can't give an accurate ratio without numbers. If we tried, we would be saying "an arms worth of starlight is worth one breath." It is too imprecise, too abstract.

    That's not normal, man. You also forgot to wish.Your hair is normal, but your eyes aren't. They stick out of your head and you have to wear glasses with extra long frames to reach them. To accommodate the glasses, you have an extra long nose as well. I wish to be omnipresent.

    This is an awesome idea, Newan. I am a Risk addict; I am well versed in the intricacies of the game. As a person who is familiar with the ins and outs of several different game types, this is well thought out. We just need a Canon map of the Cosmere and an artist. The Mistborn Dice should be the ones used for gameplay. The only problem I see is that it's a niche market. No one really gets the Cosmere unless they study it out or visit this forum. Well done!

If worlds were to cross on the great plane of the universe, then would look something like that. It's a fancy way of saying Crossroads. Don't worry too much about it, man. It's just Brandon being a tad pretentious. Not that I'm complaining; his pretension is awesome. It's just what it is.

    I don't think that's selfishness. Selfishness is doing things for yourself. When you stand for someone else, it's not selfishness. That was a bit of pretension on my part. Sorry. Edit: I don't think there is ever a time for selfishness. Ever. Ever. No religion except the Satanists preach selfishness. Maybe whatever churches Ayn Rand spawned do, but the most respected ones never do.

    When you find a Sanderfan and don't stop talking to them until they yell at you to get the hell out of the break room and go to work. Again, this didn't happen to me. l could see it happening to me, but it hasn't yet.

    What it means is to not strive for extremes, but instead find the natural path which is naturally good. Don't try to be good, try to be selfless and humble. Edit: I know this is extremely Taoist, I just really like Taoism. I can't help it. I am so sorry. I don't know what it is like to hear voices, but I have been on the brink of killing myself. It is no fun. As for the rape thing, I have no advice for you. I just think that it will suck and suck and suck until it just doesn't one day. Again, I am sorry you have to deal with these things.

    Orson Scott Card in Ender's Game said "Is it some rule of nature that you eventually become what your first commander was?" I have entertained that possibility before and I don't find it to be true. No matter who teaches you, be it enemy, teacher, or manager, it is still up to you to find moderation. Yin Yang, Good Evil, Indifference Passion, all extremes that must be avoided. Extremes are odd things.

    I don't know. Maybe the Talent (that force that "escaped" the confinement of whatever was holding it to power the Talents) became Calamity bestowing it's power to random peeps. That would be kind of cool.

The thing about it is that most of them know what it's like to be an associate. They know what it's like to have crappy managers, and they still do it. Morons.
