You know, I will say that DC has been getting a little better. The women still have outlandishly sized busts (though the new characters tend to be more realistic), but their outfits have been getting better. I mean, look at the Star Sapphires. New 52 Green Lantern #1 shows a Carol Ferris Star Sapphire with a large portion of exposed skin. Flip a few issues later and all of the exposed skin has become black cloth (or light, I guess is more correct). It may have been a change of artists, but regardless the Star Sapphires are no longer scantily clad, but now almost fully covered. Definite improvement, but still not where it should be...

I think my favorite part about Redeemed!Deathwish is how Arsenal is somehow always the one getting the raw end of the apology. Though the images of Deathwish crying his eyes out is a close second.

Sebarial took me a day and a half to make sure I didn't miss anything. I then reviewed it a month later for another half day to make sure it all made sense and everything was included. I can only imagine how much work a far more prominent character would be, particularly a PoV one.

I actively listen to rock and metal, but I enjoy just about everything other than country and rap*. I do my best to own at least one CD from every genre, but my CD case is heavily in favor of metal (Yes, I do still use CDs). If I had to discribe major events in my music listening career, I'd have to bring up 3 major points. 1) My mother. Her influence got me into rock back when I was but a wee lad. I remember way back in elementary school, sitting in the parking lot before class starts, listening to Tool, System of a Down, Evanescence and others. It wasn't all heavy, though, as we also listened to the local rock station, which wound up introducing me to '90s and 2000's poppier rock. This includes Yellowcard, Cauterize, Breaking Benjamin, Three Days Grace, etc. 2) Discovery of Coheed and Cambria. Thanks to the local radio station, I was introduced to Coheed long before they hit the track list of Rock Band. The first song I heard from them, though, was still Welcome Home. It changed my life. I had never heard something so good before, and it blew me away. I quickly found that Welcome Home was on their third album, grabbed all three, and Coheed has been my favorite band since. They have, quite honestly, not produced a single song I dislike (and that includes the album Year of the Black Rainbow). 3) Discovery of Nightwish. I was introduced to Nightwish thanks to a friend who saw the music video on the television station fUSE. Though currently the station has been too heavily influenced by MTV, back in the day the station showed a LOT of metal music videos. Anyways, the friend shared a single track with me, I Wish I Had An Angel. I was blown away, and quickly fell down the rabbit hole of the Symphonic Metal genre. This led me to not only appreciate all of Nightwish, but also Epica, Leave's Eye, Sonata Arctica, Kamelot, After Forever, and many more. Kamelot then led me to power metal bands such as Blind Guardian, Falconer, and Symphony X. I should probably also mention my love of video game music (particularly orchestrated versions). *I actually do enjoy some rap, and my biggest complaint with the genre is the subject matter, not the music itself.

Well, in a perfect world, downvotes would get dolled out almost as often as upvotes, with the system being treated as an agree/disagree system. "Oh I disagree with that, downvote. Oh I agree with that, upvote" (at least to my understanding). Somewhere along the line the social stigma of a downvote being a personal attack got attached. Perhaps that was always the intended use, but why include them if it was? Anyways, perhaps you're right? It does seem the newcomers of late are more free with their downvoting. I have a feeling it's an attitude that will get corrected quickly, though. After all, how often do you pass by posts with red boxes in the corner, instead of green or gray? That being said, I do love the atmosphere of the upvotes. Talk about a confidence booster when a post gets a few upvotes. It's always good to know the community likes you.

It's not just you. Like you, I find it frustrating that I don't know which posts are being downvoted, to potentially learn from my mistakes.

Out of curiosity, is this: enough to create a Deathwish no-fly zone?

I mean, I recognized the whole Quiver thing, but my brain associated more with the profile pic that the name. For example, though I know what a Kobold is, and imagining their King is always frightening, I will always think of the pony pic of his Lightwards character in WHIO when thinking of Kobold King. For you, it's either Celestia or Shining Armor.

Okay, so death in this alternate world does not mean the character dies. Is death the only acceptable end to every fight, or can there be surrenders?

Can you help me decide between these books?
Blaze1616 replied to spencer12347's topic in Entertainment Discussion
I loved Brave New World. Dystopia on a beautiful scale. It also prepared me for 1984, which I read in class later that year (Brave New World was summer reading for me too). I will say, though, that I am pretty much alone, among my ~100 classmates, in enjoying it. Everyone else hated it (on the flip side, I hate Lord of the Flies, and everyone else loved it). Catcher in the Rye is also good. I'm a little surprised your school is allowing you to read it (then again, you're in dual enrollment). In my school district it is the only banned book. That didn't stop teachers from encouraging us to read it outside of class though. How many do you need to read? -
I think it's something a lot of people struggle with, due to the innate desire to control a badchull character. Not that that is necessarily what's happening with you, but I see it all the time, particularly in tabletop RPGs. I feel that people innately want their characters to be strong due to the affection they feel towards them, as well as the feelings gained when doing super cool things with their strong powers. Who wants to play a measly Copper misting, when they can be a Mistborn? Who wants to play as Tia when they could play as David or Megan? Who wants to play as generic Ravenclaw member #206 when they can play as Harry, Ron, Hermione, Neville, Luna... You get it. In tabletops, mostly with long campaigns, players get the end goal idea of a character, and want to jump to when all their powers have been gained and they can do badchull things all the time, and I've even met some who get disappointed when they realize they have to "earn" those powers by playing. Again, not that that's necessarily what's happened to you, or anyone else on here, but it is a trend I've noticed.

Comatose, out of curiosity, do the sections of Albany and Tangent, as well as Philomath, all have different power stations/sources, or were you thinking they'd all be linked? Oh, no. I'm the kind of guy who likes when RolePlays blindside me or don't go the way I necessarily want them to, because it helps develop me as a writer to be more creative. That was actually the reason for making the Powerpuffs relatively weak to most other PCs. I'm also a stickler for remaining in character. If Buttercup is given the choice, IcyHot and Resistor will be left as guards. If Converter's rescuers would kill them, then so be it. Gotta roll with the punches I was under the impression the whole school was being used, so I'll let Comatose answer that one. I would like to quickly offer a friendly correction, though, that Corvallis has Oregon State University, or OSU for short. The University of Oregon is in Eugene. This correction is mostly due to the potential for confusion later on if/when Eugene becomes a thread.

Keep in mind that when the Plains first Shattered, they could only have "shattered" if they were whole before. As such, the first instance "Shattered" the Plains, then the second time completely demolished them. It's like a battering ram. Just because you don't break through with the first swing does not mean it is hopeless. Keep swinging, weakening the structure, and eventually you will get through.

Bubbles only visits once a day to lower and then raise the bubble. It's actually not necessarily a vulnerable location whatsoever, and the school would make a good HQ, seeing as the building is already constructed in such a manor as to support offices, etc. Plus, we've established the size of the bubble with the school being the center in mind, moving it now could cause issues. Unless you mean where we should hold Converter, and Buttercup would agree that keeping her at OSU is a mistake. The Aquatics Center is a good idea.

Rainmakers HQ is the University of Oregon State's campus. It's the center of the city, as well as the location Bubbles puts up the bubble from. I'm not sure where Rainmaker will want Converter kept. If it's up to Buttercup it won't be there, due to the locations mild importance.

...Who is Insight? I think I may have missed/forgotten something... As for antagonistic plans, are you all working together? I knew Phoenix and Converter were going to help each other, but I haven't heard yet if Iconoclast would join. As far as rescuing goes, though, I'm not sure who all will be posted as guards. I think it makes logical sense for IcyHot and Resistor to do so, but I also don't want them to die just yet. I was also thinking Mannequin, given his unique ability to supply large amounts of guards, but I'm not sure what Gleeman's plans are.
