    Mistings

I think tin would be more interesting for that purpose, enhanced sense of touch and all.....true pewter might help you last longer, but tin would make it better while it lasts.
  3. this is a notion that I believe has been brought up before, it would certainly fit the theme of nobody knowing anything about history that we've got going on.
  4. fifth grade is age 10. Which may be a little young for detailed descriptions of violence, but I've never read the Hunger Games so I don't know how detailed the violence actually is, so.....
  5. it makes sense. I like it, though sadly I can't provide any constructive commentary at the moment, maybe I will think of something later.
  6. Kel was mid-thirties, Breeze was probably 40 something, and Clubs was probably 50 or 60 something. Marsh was probably 40 something too.
  7. Odium didn't pick up the shards after he killed their holders because they would end up changing his personality and he doesn't want that.
  8. Jasnah seemed pretty sure that the ardents really do use the fabrials to soulcast...also I tend to think that there's no way that kind of conspiracy could hold up for hundreds of years, no matter how good they are at killing or recruiting anybody that figures it out sooner or later somebody is going to slip past them and the secret will get out. and yeah, I'm pretty sure a Shardblade going through somebody's spine kills them instantly, whatever part of the spine it goes through. If it goes through a limb then that limb is paralyzed and numbed.
  9. for Nalthis I imagine something vaguely cartoony, with bright colours. For Scadrial, obviously the mists. For the cosmere as a whole I imagine the three realms layered like an onion with the physical on the inside, the cognitive in the middle and the spiritual on the outside. shading off into the place beyond the realms where the dead that "move on" go.
  10. they are trollocs....with spikes!
  11. Ruin is such an amateur.
  12. if we're talking about disabling an Elantrian, the easiest way for a channeler to do that would be to just wrap them up in hard air, they can't do anything to you at all if they can't move their hands. That's what Moiraine would do, blowing up the landscape is not her style usually.
  13. I think altering the landscape enough to break AonDor would be something only one of the really strong channelers could pull off, like Rand or Nyneave, or Lanfear. And even they would probably be stretching the limit, unless Callandor or the CK were involved.
  14. when from under the floors....
  15. wait, did Brandon confirm that they are Truthspren?
  16. currently reading Off Armageddon Reef by David Weber
  17. well the war did get averted, so.......
  18. yeah there seems to be a pretty wide consensus that Shardblades are stored in the Spiritual Realm. And I'm also quite sure that Shallan did get the Shardblade from her father, seems pretty darn unambiguous to me based on her thoughts about the Blade. The only issue is the Soulcaster which seems to have been cut by a Shardblade. And I think Heleran is probably the best candidate for "mysterious death that should be paid more attention to".
  19. flammable isn't a word either, "inflammable" resents being usurped by a hatless freak.
  20. also if long life was a result of silverness, TLR wouldn't have had to pull his shenanigans with his atium compounding.
  21. I suspect it looked like a random sequence of letters (that might be generated by a spambot) to the system. Anyway, welcome Owayn. Hope you have fun here.
  22. haha, JB actually wrote the CA on a dare to prove he could write a good story with stupid ideas, he was dared to use one stupid idea, he chose two - the Lost Roman Legion and Pokemon.
  23. you aren't the only atheist here, I am also an atheist.
  24. he also spikes people. You have been warned. Don't worry about your English, it's fine.
  25. I reckon Scadrialian schools and unis have a "absolutely no copperminds allowed during tests" policy. Otherwise the archivist Ferrings would all graduate with highest honours and everybody else would be screwed.
