    I don't think it was that long, for Kelsier though it's not clear, and that was with him resisting as hard as he could with his considerable willpower. And Vin infusing Elend with Investiture was a temporary thing, he used it up right away.

    Even Brandon himself has said what Adolin did needed to be done and nobody else was in a position to do it due to inclination or lack of opportunity. Adolin's not perfect, but he's basically a standup guy.

    We've been told that if a Shard went long enough without somebody holding it it would eventually develop a mind on it's own, I suspect that Adolnalsium's mind arose naturally from its power and did not have a separate origin.

    Just because Jasnah finds Kaladin amusing doesn't mean she wants to date him.. People of opposite genders can respect and like each other without dating. And I would say that while age doesn't necessarily equal maturity Jasnah is definitely considerably more mature than Kaladin.

    Yeah Era 2 basically assumes you've read Era 1, and it's going to be much better if you read Era 1 first.
