I took a European History class recently, but it was only from 1300-onwards. I was always sort of curious as to what ancient Poland looked like. How did it end up as that squarish republic-thing? Also, what do you think of the situation in Ukraine right now?

Hmm. I'd prefer Autumn Glass cannon Epics myself, but it's probably too much to ask for #badjoke

Actually, if you have a phone that can access the internet, it's a great way to slack off during work. That's how I got through Portland.

I'd rate both of them 6's.

I was planning to have Riftwalker rely on her goons anyway. To be honest, I don't think her offensive ability is all that useful in a 1v1 fight.Either way, how unpowerful are we talking about here? A 6 or 7? If I removed the danger sense and the object storage, would she be okay?

Oh, don't get me wrong, I am gushing on my end of the screen. Holes? ^ (A movie which I love for casting the guy from Psych as a suave roof repairman)

Pretty sure Hoid would be showing up to that one, Cosmere or no.

Well, yeah, but this guy probably has probably been through the pool already, or has seen others do it and knows what lies beyond. Hoid can navigate it, after all, so it's not impossible

Well, I meant that was her strategy once the RP started. Right now, she's just leading a small crime ring or something and doesn't even imagine she'll be ruling or getting respect from anybody anytime soon (sorry for causing so much confusion.) But again, that's for later. No use opening the thread up right now.

Right, exactly. She's not ruling the city in the current version, so I took away most of her powerset. Currently, she's basically a sociopath who gets people to respect/worship her by developing morbid fascination with her and her powers. It's just a silly definition, you slontze!

... Whut!? Do you think they worldhopped or something? Suddenly, I'm looking for a description of everyone who was thrown in there. I guess once they got onto other worlds, they would be free from the Aon's influence, so they'd be un-Hoed. They might even be free from its influence in Shadesmar.

'ts all good. Actually, I don't even think any of my characters made an appearance. Just... mentioned I've vacillated a bit on what Showstopper even looks like (I was planning to introduce her in my next post, but that thing's never going to happen now.) I'll do that EoO soon, though. Oh, sure. I get that. I just spent an inordinate amount of time thinking about her yesterday, and I wanted to get it all down on paper before I forgot.

I'm considering not having The Rift thing at all, except that it adds to her mystique, which I think is going to be kind of important considering what her tactics are going to be. She can't do anything except peer into it in the current version, but can force other people to see it if she has skin-to-skin contact. The reason I'm a little nervous about OP because in the original character concept (back when I was trying to make her sort of like Regalia,) she could do a whole lot more. Her powers were vaguer, so she could make force fields and spears out of darkness, transport people into her Rift, and transport monsters back out (she wouldn't control them, but they'd definitely go on rampages and stuff.) Did I describe that poorly? I pictured it looking sort of like that thing Death Eaters do when they turn into a cloud of inky blackness and fly. She moves instantly, it just takes a fraction of a second to get there, and it's easy to trace.

Simon was where I stopped reading. I had thought that Nighthound had me desensitized to horror, but it was just getting to be too much. Uh, anyway, I've been thinking about Eugene, and here's the powerset for my main Epic, Riftwalker. I'm worried about it being a little too much... Mostly, I just like her character. I'm working on it in the EoO right now.

The name of Demoux's girlfriend. I forgot what exactly it was, but it sounded Thaylen. Not my best theory, I guess. Anyway, they do seem ethnically different from the rest of Scadrial. Even before The Ascension, they were unique in that they had feruchemy. Unlike allomancy, feruchemy doesn't seem to have different power levels based on purity of lineage, which makes me think that it's based off of a completely different system of inheritance. Allomantic and Feruchemic sDNA interfere with eachother. Why? Because they're magic systems from different worlds. I guess there's still that whole "the two systems use the same metals" thing, but... well, it's just a crazy, stupid, I-came-up-with-it-and-even-I-only-sort-of-half-buy-it theory.

Hunger Games: Sanderson Elimination Style

Sigh... I'm sure that Kaladin was glad to die in a way that allowed him to protect someone as he went out. If the monkey mutts had gems woven into their beards, though, this fight would have gone very differently -
Really? I thought the last episode was pretty terrible. I loved the series overall, though.

Well, yeah. Just responding to Tyson. I don't care what it ends up looking like, really, I'm just interested in the idea of starting my own gang. I missed out big when you guys closed Portland before I showed up.

Well, I was just thinking about someone who didn't really care about what happened in the city. Like Regalia. I was sort of imagining an Epic called Riftwalker, whose powers were based off of killing monsters in some bizarre dimension only she could access. She would spend all her time exploring "The Rift" so it was only when someone was directly challenging her "regime" that she rifted out and attacked. She'd barely be mentioned otherwise.

Eh. We're still not completely clear on how the whole Epic-making thing works, so we're venturing into potential canon-shattering territory here. We could use it as a sort of "Portland 2," I guess, if we got a surge of newcomers and wanted them to have somewhere to go. Alternately, we could base it off of Babilar, where a powerful Epic controls the city but can't be bothered to rule it, so there's a bunch of gangs fighting all over the place.

Huh. We should make a thread called "Pertinent Information of Oregon" that lists all of this sort of stuff out. In the Questions threads, it just sort of gets lost. I could swear someone brought up the exact same thing a few weeks ago.
