I've moved to Boise recently. I really like it here, and I like my new job. So things are good.

The biggest problem I find with this is the durability of some of the metals. Sure, some of this would work, though it wouldn't be nearly as effective as traditional methods for reasons sited by Zaci. Gold for instance, would probably not work, because it's entirely too soft. The amount of precision/luck that would be required in order to effectively and accurately attribute a Hemalurgic attribute to someone feels more like it would be a waste than it's worth. Unless your primary goal was simply to create a hole in someone's soul in order to help a Shard gain influence over them.

I went back a few pages and didn't see this exact discussion and I don't want to necro an old thread, so let's start a new discussion. So, Szeth now has Nightblood, which terrifies me by the way. In Warbreaker we didn't see Nightblood do anything too extraordinary, but I feel this is primarily because he requires sunlight and air... I mean Investiture to be wielded. Szeth has access to massive amounts of Stormlight he could feed Nightblood while he wields it. I'm terrified to see the things this sword will be able to do. There is however the fact that Szeth has died and now is released from his previous state of being. He doesn't want to kill. So this could potentially be a good thing. He could possibly use Nightblood and its power as a means to stop people he feels will cause a lot of killing. Now let's talk about Hoid's sword. He never draws the blade, and it is often described in similar ways as Nightblood is. This in the past had lead me to believe that it was Nightblood. I feel however that it is probably another awakened blade that will come into play once Hoid realized Nightblood is around causing trouble. These swords were created by a system that has a very measured source of Investiture and required a huge amount of it. They are now in a place that has a nearly limitless source which can feed them nearly indefinitely. This feels potentially broken and could cause more trouble than any other weapon we have seen previously used in the Cosmere.

By this line of logic EUOL provides could that mean it's possible for Hemalurgy to be used to create 'hotwires' for any type of spiritual connection within the Cosmere, provided the person performing the Hemalurgy knows where to use the spike to gain the proper connection to the spiritual realm?

I want to say that the humans on Roshar are originally from Yolen and were moved from there when Yolen became uninhabitable. We know that Yolen was was the first place humans existed. I doubt Brandon would have multiple points of human creation within the same universe. To answer the second question I want to say that Ashyn and Yolen are the same place, but names have changed over time... though this is mostly a crackpot theory that involves information from Dragonsteel and Liar of Partinel which have not been published and are meant to undergo vast amounts of editing before they are published so take it with a grain of salt.

Thank you, thank you. Argent, it's funny, because way back when that's where this site kind of started. A thread in the old forums meant to do just that, that became a wiki, that became this website. lol.

Lol. I had some life problems the last few years but things are better now. How are you?

I need your help to get all caught up on this page. I would have kept up all along, I would have read all the post, if I'd have taken just one second out of my busy life. But now I'm behind, and need some help. To know what the most recent post are that need to be read. .... If you sang the whole post, good on you. Really though, what are the most recent interviews/theories/posts that I should read to get caught up on the current theorycrafting?

/dance What's everyone up to these days? I miss this community. Who's still around from the old days?

Does anyone else watch Glee? I cried so hard watching this week's episode.

D: I hope SOMEONE did record it. This is great new information.

It would be a very Brandony thing to do to put the Herald of Leadership in a position of absolute slavery...

Thank you Argent. Fantastic questions!

I know, I was just providing a possible place for a source to be found. Either way. I feel you would be able to create someone stronger in both Feruchemical and Allomantic aspects due to using more than one Spike for each thing, creating someone potentially as strong as, or stronger than TLR.

0.0 How did I ever miss that! Thanks Weiry, upvotes for you.

I asked Brandon that on Twitter during a QnA and he said Light was not one of Jasnah's Surges.

I got myself all mixed up. I meant 8 due to the transportation and light connection, but then also looked at 9 and made the earth connection. That was my mistake. So let's forget that part of my argument and just stick with the transportation of light and put them in order 8.

Yes, I would put them there for that same reason. It's the only place really that that makes sense. I'd put Growth between Plant and Crystal. I would put Lightweavers with order 9 considering there always seems to be a connection with dust or dirt or smoke which are all earthy when Lightweaving happens. EDIT:: And the combination of Transportatioin and Light makes sense for Lightweaving.

I'm not sure, but here's a direct link so that you can get to the page from your phone hopefully.

Right. I believe the power of Regrowth should belong to "Lucentia" so Growth should IMO 100% go with order 4.

Scott, was that asked during the reading QnA section or while he was personalizing books? If it's the first it could be found in my recordings found here. If it's the other we have to wait for Kendra as she recorded all of the questions while he was personalizing books.... where did she disappear to anyways?

Dustbringers being KR was confirmed at the Steelheart release during the QnA. Check here Signing 2 about 27 minutes in. EDIT:: RE: Stonewards. I was pretty sure that the night in the orange armor was a Stoneward and we saw her just show up, seemingly from nowhere then use the power of Regrowth. This could mean that they aren't Stonewards, but something else, but Dalinar does say that perhaps the Fabrial is making the magic and not necessarily the KR.
