  1. When I asked this of Brandon he got really excited and said it was a good question, but it wasn't Nightblood. This leads me to think it's a different Awakened sword.
  2. The lake is a body of water which is coalesced cognizance of Devotion, one of the Shards from Sel. So to nswer your first question, yes, it is a manifestation of a Shard. To answer the second, probably not, though your question could be stretched to mean whether or not Devotion could reunite other Shards, which could be a maybe since Odium found a way to Splinter them.
  3. That quote is so grammatically broken I'm not exactly sure what it means.
  4. One big thing here is that we don't really know who/what Adonalsium was before it shattered. Hoid seems to be helping in ways that assist the Shards. If Adonalsium had inherently been evil, Hoid's potential attempts to assist those Shards which want to reconnect and opposing those which want to destroy the Shards could be an evil plan. A.K.A: Helping Kaladin to eventually restore Honor and Unite it with Cultivation may seem like a good-guy move, but it eventually leads to utter doom.
  5. Steelheart takes place on Earth (or a variation thereof) which means it's non-Cosmere. Earth, in no form, exists within the Cosmere.
  6. Sell, I don't think Vasher would want to be with anyone right now. Wit's sword is Awakened. (See Brandon's reaction to when I asked if Wit's sword was Nightblood to see why I think this.)
  7. The "Three, Four, Five, Six, Seven?" line wasn't a question. lol. I was counting out loud. Thank you fro doing the transcription Weiry. Upvote for you.
  8. The conversation I had with Brandon was "Do not post codes on the site(17th Shard.) Make the other Sharders work for their codes. So someone saying, "I have a code, who wants it?" would be essentially the same thing, which would ruin the spirit of he event. You can send it to as many people as you want, so if you wanted to go through and PM everyone you are friends with a code, that would essentially be OK. But posting a code or that you have one and asking who wants it would be violating the spirit of the event and would end up with things like people having to have their picture with their code before their code was activated manually.
  9. Yeah, probably >.>' My bad. lol.
  10. Uploads are to be had. ^.^
  11. Oh, it looks like there was one of that already. I had somehow missed that before. It looks like that one is a little longer than the reading he did yesterday, but it looks like there's a couple places there are words msissing so that will be good. I'll post them here soon, as soon as I can get a hold of my friend's phone that we used for he recordings. (He should be over soon.
  12. So I asked Brandon to surprise me when he signed my copy of Steelheart. This is how he signed:
  13. Would you guys prefer me to soundcloud them, then work on a transcription after the fact, or wait until I've transcribed them to soundcloud them?
  14. Yesterday I had lunch with Brandon. We have answers to most of the questions brought to the interview thread, a few were RAFOs so we don't have answers for those, but the rest we basically do. ^.^ Also, there was a reading of part of the first Kaladin chapter of WoR as well as a reading from Shadows of Self revealing the contents received in a book at the end of Alloy. EDIT:: Apparently the Alloy reading isn't new. xP These will be posted later today. Recordings can be found here. The second part of the interview is still processing.
  15. As much as I love Elantris and as wonderful it was for a beginning novel, I don't recommend it anywhere near the beginning of reading Brandon. I would put it last personally. He was so much more immature as a writer then, and it shows. I would read WoK after MB and WB definitely, though it appears that's what you've done. lol.
  16. I honestly don't remember. An old one. Perhaps even from back on TWG. It's been a long time since I've seen it.
  17. I dunno, those Canadian's are pretty shady. (I'm borderline Canadian, I can make that joke. It's OK....Half-way. xD)
  18. The most important question I would say is who/what is/was Adonalsium.
  19. I vaguely remember him saying after WoR release to avoid spoilers.
  20. So lunch with Brandon has been confirmed. ^.^
  21. I feel it would have been something which was kept a huge secret and Sazed would have studied in great detail throughout the book. I would have liked the idea of Sazed eating it, but I don't think that anyone would allow that. As much as they loved Sazed, they would fear what might happen with having that much power. Vin's bloodline seems to be one of the most pure aside from Rashek and Elend, so I don't think that having taken the Lerasium would increase her powers THAT much. I feel that they would have come to the same conclusion so I doubt they would have given it to her.
  22. Yeah. In this thread I talk about it a lot and we discuss potential holes in the theory. The word "this" in the last sentence is a link to another thread. haha.
  23. Soulcasting is a form of Investiture (I think) and Plate, which is an Invested item would resist being Soulcast. The amount of energy, size of Gems, and strength of the Soulcaster that would be required would be ludicrous.
  24. Odds are you could use the power of the Well to grant oneself Allomantic abilities. However Rashek didn't do that. He was too worried about trying to fix his initial screw up that almost destroyed the world. And there's somewhere (I can't remember where) when you count how many beads of Lerasium there was one missing until we figured out Hoid had it. This count includes Rashek having eaten one.
  25. Shard of inattentiveness.
