  1. I apologize if this has already been discussed. I'm new to the group and couldn't find this in the forums. There is a ketek at the end of WOK which says "above silence, the illuminating storms-- dying storms-- illuminate the silence above." Does anyone have any insight? Does this have to do with Odium?
  2. Nice to meet you vasher! I also loved warbreaker because of the magic system as well. If I had to rate the books it would be as follows 1. Way of kings: Seems the most epic. The letter implies that Odium is the baddest dude out there. 2. Warbreaker: As I said loved the magic system and lightsong is one of my favorite characters though nightblood is pretty bad chull 3. Mistborn series including alloy of law: I read an interview which said that the next couple of books will be more sci-fi with spaceships and whatnot but with allomancy and such in place. That sounds pretty cool to me and also really good magic system. 4. Emperors soul: not as much fantasy but beautiful story 5. Elantris: I liked it but a few boring parts also magic system not as well explained It is also worth reading Rithmatist and Steelheart but they are yound adult novels. Rithmatist has a cool magic system and steelheart was pretty dark for a young adult novel
  3. I have read Steelheart (I got an early copy). It does not seem to be cosmere. Hoid never appears in it. It's a good book though i highly recommend it
  4. I read the dragonsteel stuff very cool. I actually want to ask a few other questions. 1. what is the number 1 most important question? Is it who is the letter written to in way of kings? 2. A follow up on my first question. Hoid tells the warbreaker story using colors which is an integral part of the magic there. Can this somehow imply that music is important in the roshar magic system since he uses an instrument when he tells his story to Kaladin. Is there any evidence to support this?
  5. Hi, My name is Ari. I've been a huge sanderson fan for about 5 years now especially loved way of kings and warbreaker. I also thought that rithmatist and steelheart were pretty cool. Anyway one question I have about warbreaker is that hoid tells siri about where he learned his style storytelling he replies "I learned it many, many years ago from a man who didn't know who he was, Your Majesty. It was a distant place where to lands meet and gods have died". Do we know who and where hoid is talking about?
