  1. I agree about Ruin and Cultivation. They are both same/similar on the change stasis axis. The opposite of change can't be decay because Cultivation and Ruin would become too different. Ruin might even have a bit of growth as he said that Ruin is needed for life. I think the opposite of grow could be Endowment type improvement. Growth is giving it what it needs to improve by itself, the other is just improving it.
  2. Granted, but the first time you enter it you travel back in time 100 years, and you don't know how to fly a TARDIS. I wish for 50,000 breaths.
  3. Another axis could be how shards effect things, Endowment is improving things. Cultivation is helping things grow so they improve themselves. Devotion is on Endowments side. Honor is on Cultivations side. Dominion, Preservation, Ruin and Odium are fairly neutral.
  4. Intelligence- an alloy of zinc, stupid when storing, clever when tapping. Colour- an alloy of tin, gives you a 3rd heightening effect. The other alloy of tin could store pitch.
  5. Preservation and Ruin could be the only two shards at opposite polls, with the other shards in a regular pattern that has no other opposites. I think the Ruin Preservation axis is a change/adding axis. Honour and Endowment are on the adding side. Odium and cultivation are on the change side. I think Dominion and Devotion are neutral on this axis.
  6. So the Scadrialen schools would have hemalurgy in science lessons. Sounds fun. Since spiking students would probably be illegal, could they spike rats? Do animals have a spirit web.
  7. Size- an alloy of pewter or iron, increases your size so you increase muscle even more than normal, storing helps you fit through small gaps.. Calm - alloy of electrum, your panicked when storing, calm when tapping.
  8. The loss of heat idear seems to ruinous to me. Awakening is end neutral like feurchemy but no breaths seem to be lost or weakened. My basic idear was that since having to put in more energy when getting closer to the speed of light is similar to having to tap more when getting to high level of what was stored, they are both being caused by relativity in different realms. Turns out I was wrong about it having to be special relativity because you still have to put in more energy to go higher speeds in normal physics. So my new idear is that the power in a metal mind is energy, the amount of power you get is like momentum. So having to use more and more energy to get to a higher momentum is what causes the decay. So no energy is lost but more is used.
  9. I was thinking about if Feruchemical steel could be used to go faster than light. I then remembered that feruchemy loses energy at when high amounts are tapped so it wouldn't work, but I noticed that using more power to get to high speeds is very similar to getting an object near the speed of light, you have to use a lot more energy to increase at high levels then low levels. So I have now created a theory of investiture relativity. Feruchemical decay is an effect of special relativity it in spiritual realm, but instead of not being able to go faster then light, you can't tap investiture faster than a certain speed. In the physical realm you have to add more and more energy to go faster, in the spiritual realm you have to use more investiture to get a higher gain. The investiture limit is different on different planets, since Scadrial is a low investiture world the effects are noticed at the low levels of feruchemy. Higher investiture planets would not notice the effects as much.
  10. A cross cosmere use would be giving a lifeless squirrel a cadmium spike and freezing people solid with it.
  11. A cognitive shadow is basicly a ghost. It is a person with out their phyisical body so they live as their cognitive and spirtual parts in the cognitive realm. Kelsier might be able to do this because he has the cognitive aspect of being a God. There are two reasons I think Kelsier has a spliner of Preservation One Kelsier would likely keep a piece. Two all cognitive entitys seem to have spliners. Seons have aons, Nightblood has breaths and spren have spliners.
  12. I think Kelsier kept a piece of Preservation, if that would have broken the balance with Ruin Kelsier would of just borrowed a splinter before Sazed ascended. The amount of power Kelsier has would depend on how must he borrowed. Sazed would let him keep his power but he wouldn’t give him anymore. I can imagine Kelsier often asks Sazed for a new body. Kelsier “Hi Sazed, remember how I help save the world, I think I deserve a new body because of it” Sazed “Sorry, it would upset the balance” Kelsier “Rusts, well I was thinking of a Holiday, I wonder what my powers would do on Roshar?” Sazed “Kelsier, you need to stop interfering” Kelsier “I don’t start interfering, I just change a few things that need changing, I wouldn’t be able to interfere across the cosmere if I have a body keeping me here.” If Kelsier did go to Roshar what would his powers there be, I now want SA3 to have a scene with Kelsier, Nightblood and the stormfather.
  13. Most of cognitive entities can bond to people, the cognitive entities that can are all sentient. Since seons, nightblood and spren can create bonds, what about cognitive shadows. What would happen if Kelsier created a bond with someone, could they become a mistborn. I think they would not be able to use metals, they would have to use the mists. Kelsier letting someone use the mists would make sense as he is "the lord of the mists"
  14. The excess ruin would likely corrupt Kelsier, but I think he might of kept some of Preservations power so that should balance it out. If he doesn't come back with a body he's going to use his piece of Preservation to interfere.
  15. What would the godvegetables be on this world be. Also eatting too meany greens makes you a savant.
  16. Random thought. Would a bullet of the right metal work as hemalurgic spikes if shot through the heart. This could be a way to easy kill a gold compounder.
  17. Give a lifeless squirel an Allomantic cadmium spike and use it to freeze people.
  18. Toping of the Secret Terminator design. Reinforce body with Allomantic pewter. Metal forcefield using Allomantic steel. Create eyes using Allomantic steel. Secondary eyes using Allomantic tin. Allomantic steel and Allomantic iron on hands. Feruchemical copper hard drive. Zinc compounding to speed up processors. Allomantic zinc and Allomantic brass to create immobilising fear in target. Allomantic bendalloy to create time bubbles. Feruchemical bendalloy power supply. gold compounding repair system. acadmium grenades to freeze people. For extra fun awaken with "destroy evil" and quickly worldhop to watch from a distance.
  19. I'm thinking that the 3rd trilogy might have inquisitor/terminators which can use the allomancy machines. Probably will not happen but it could
  20. In one of Dalinar's visions a radiant uses progression to heal people. She is holding a Topaz and a Heliodor. Soulcasting needs a gem of the essence used, so Progression might use a gem of the body focus healed. Since the gems the radiant had the body focus of flesh and bone, these would let her heal flesh and bone which explain why she has those gems.
  21. I think the best power may be Feruchemical bendalloy. You don't again any weight to you can just eat tones of cookies.
  22. So there could be a revenge spren.
  23. I think every shard is not good or bad, there's a WoB somewhere. Odium is Hatred in any form. Just like Honor is honor in any form, even Sezth's. Odium being evil is a mix of something going to an extreme and that Rayse is bad. But since odium is investing as little as possible he's likely only making spren that agree with him. But what would happen if there was an honor/odium spren.
