I'd guess that when a Radiant dies their spren goes back to shadesmar, so they would retain their mind, so it's posible that Jasnah could meet his spren when she is in shademar.

You Know You're a Sanderfan When...
Fallen Rope replied to Shardbearer's topic in General Brandon Discussion
When you start seeing the cosmere in everything, like how Sans from Undertale looks like a surgebinder, his eyes glow blue and he controls gravity. -
So it could just be that a true self might be able to use them. Also if someones identity is linked to their metalminds, could taping someone else's metal mind begin to change your identity. There is an artifact that potentially contains the lord rules powers, memories and identity. Maybe the bands were a different kind of contingency plan?
-
Why would the lord ruler create metal minds that could give any one his powers. My guess is that it was part of his plan to stop ruin, if he ever died he would want someone else to protect the well. My guess is that his heir was the head obligator or head inquisitor, I think both were killed in the uprising, so no one was left knowing the power of the bands.

In this universe CurveBall would have the power to shot portals from a handgun.

In the ending of Alloy of Law He was talking about Iron Man. P.S. This will look weird to people that have not read alloy of law.

I think that Harmony didn't get Tan to kill Paalm, if Harmony's plan was killing Lessie I doubt he would of wanted Wax to be tricked into shooting her, that is unnecessarily cruel, so something else must of angered Paalm. It seems from what Marsh said in AoL that Harmony code means he won't stop his agents going against him. Luckily the next book comes out January so I won't go insane from not knowing.

What was it that made Paalm turn against Harmony, it wasn't just leaving Wax, because she still went though with the plan of pretending to die. Did she find being without wax unbearable so she eventually snapped (which I doubt because she would of just gone to Wax and told him the truth so she could be back with him). I think Harmony did something else to anger her, or did he use the flaw to make her go through with the plan and not go back to Wax. Old thread (it was not every concise)

What has happened to Kelsier. When Wax is sarcastic to Harmony, Harmony says he was fine with it, it reminded him of old times. "Since Kelsier... well, I haven't had much of that" Isn't Kelsier still around, has something happened to him. Has he fallen out with Sazed. Maybe he moved on. Maybe he is working with (or is) Trell.

I have been thinking about how a rithmatist game would work and chalklings seem like the hardest bit to make. You would have to use pre-set designs for chalkings, probably click and drag because comparing a hand drawn chalking against a list would be hard to do. Should chalkings be controllable by drawing symbols like in the books, or would it be simpler to just to have the chalkling stay still and defend its bind point or move forward and attack anything in its way depending on the chalking used. Any thoughts on how they should work on a phone or computer game.

Was Ruin only able to make "the deepness" when the well is full when he was trapped, because the closer to the sun trick didn't stop Ruin creating the deepness again, or does he only only create the deepness to get someone to find and use the well.

Why does storing health make you ill, does it make you further from the idea of health so you get symptoms of being ill, or does it weaken your immune system, so you get ill from a normal illness. If it is a normal illness I can see bloodmakers in the modern era just taking antibiotics to not get ill. Another theory about the modern day trilogy and gold, a bloodmaker could be given a deadly disease, tap a lot of gold to strengthen the immune system so that the body can create antibodies, the antibodies could then be extracted and given to a normal person suffering from the disease to cure them. I was also wondering if gold can cure illnesses, or just remove the symptoms. If it can cure illnesses then bloodmakers can spend less time being ill than normal people, just store for a week, then when you get a cold or virus you could just tap for a few hours and you will be cured, saving you more than a week of being ill.

When did Dalinar Start Bonding with the Stormfather?
Fallen Rope replied to ivoryblade's topic in Stormlight Archive
One here. (Edit: But a boy though, not sure if you are talking about teenagers in general, or just teenage girls.) But to be back on topic, does a proto-radiant have to not like shard blades from the start of bonding. Kaladin would still not like them even if he wasn't a radiant, one killed all of his team, and caused him to be sold into slavery. I think his first thoughts about the shard bearer that he killed was about how majestic he looked, and he was proto-bonded at this time. I think if they are at a early stage they feel nothing about them. Since the bond was stronger for Dalinar near the end of the book, he was feeling bad for having the blade. So Dalinar could of been bonded for a long time but weakly, so no blade hating. Similar the how Adolin has shown signs of no liking the thrill, so weakly bonded, but he does not feel bad using his blade. -
Roshar is the 4th land, coincidence?
Fallen Rope replied to Fallen Rope's topic in Stormlight Archive
Maybe the body focus thing was created by bad communication between world hoppers. World Hopper 1: You have been to Scadrial haven't you, how does the magic there work. World Hopper 2: It was a few hundred years ago, my memory is a bit faint, its to do with metal and sometimes involves nails. World Hopper 1: *writes "essence metal, body focus nails" So the body foci aren't completely accurate. Yolen is likely 1 or 10 The world in white sand is likely 9, because sand. My guess for Nalthis is 5, normal awakenings are organic things, and colour changing hair. Maybe the body focus for a world involves that part of the body changing colour when invested in a certain way. Someone needs to ask Brandon if Vins nails changed colour when she was ascending, or if using the well of ascension causes a change in nail colour. -
This is just a small point a found in support of the theory that each of the 10 shard worlds are linked to one of the ten essences. When Ym is talking to the urchin about one, he says that the Iriali are part of the long trail, and they are in the 4th kingdom, and since Ym knows some stuff about the cosmere, this could mean Roshar is the 4th shard world. On the essences table, the number 4 is the essence Lucentia (Which means light, links to stormlight), its soulcasting properties are to do with crystals (links to gem stones, which hold stormlight) and the body focus is eyes (shardblades, being a radiant, and being a voidbringer change eye colour). Maybe this is just a coincidence, but I think there is a link here

Coverage of the Mistborn Board Game from GenCon

I can see some ominous looking tokens with "ruined" on them, wonder what they do. There is also a "turn sequence" card, but it is too blurred to read, Rusts!- 23 comments

Disclaimer: I know Steelheart isn't cosmere. This is just a crazy idea idea I thought of. After she reincarnates, Megan can draw objects out of other universes or "possibility" universes. The cosmere is a universe, so Megan could draw stuff out of it. So it is possible for Hoid to appear in The Reckoners. When Megan talks about Firefight (The parallel universe her/him) she says that the things she draws through might keep the laws from their universe, so powers from the cosmere could work in the reckonerverse, so it is possible to have coinshots in Newcargo.

Wouldn't that mean at the end of Mitosis there would still be one of him left after his weakness was triggered. Maybe the last one left ran away in fear. Edit: Also maybe Sourcefield's weakness didn't behave as usual, she was still unkillable when koolaid was thrown at her so David was wrong about how her weakness works or it had been changed. And something doesn't seem right about Fortuity's weakness, is he afraid of being attracted to women? And if he is then why does he spend time around hot women. Maybe he faced his fear and was just evil before he became an epic. And did dawnsight face his fear somehow since he isn't evil.

Coverage of the Mistborn Board Game from GenCon
Fallen Rope commented on WeiryWriter's article in Brandon and Book News
"If the Unrest reaches 8 then the rebellion occurs and the player with the least Favor (the faction furthest from the Lord Ruler) wins" So you can try to lower your favour and help the rebellion to win, sounds fun, but how would a player do that other than just not helping to solve problems. I guess that the players which are high on favour would just turn against anyone who is helping the rebellion, but if your avoiding solving problems, why would having the other players turn against you be a problem. Looks like a great game so I have to know how it works. I hope one of the kickstarter rewards is a pdf of the rules.- 23 comments
