  1. You also Meditate, which Pathians do. Also Buddhism doesn't have a God, Pathism only has a kind of sort of God.
  2. My guesses for what odium would make. Odium+Preservation=Greed Odium+Devotion=Ambivalence Odium+Ruin=Jealousy Odium+Cultivation=Plotting? Odium+Dominion=Tyranny Odium+Honor=Revenge Odium+Endowment=? Odium+Survival shard=Paranoia
  3. Where do Pathians normally get the earrings from, does harmony have to send a kandra to give you one, or is there somewhere you can go to get one.
  4. Maybe they would cancel out, hopefully there would be an explotion
  5. That would end up crashing the 17th shard. That would be a Bad command!
  6. No, jedi are all three, but sith are voidbinder inquisitor awakeners. Also seth is not a windrunner any more so he is none of the above.
  7. Find Nightblood on a world without a shard, maybe in your house.
  8. I will not Destroy Evil!
  9. I just thought he was using allomancy on the strings.
  10. I think the spiritual element to lightweaving is that drawing something makes a connection to something. The connection is used as a channel to send the structure of the object. The connection weakens over time so when Shallen lightweaves something a day later, the connection is weak so the image gets corrupted. I think identity might be the central node of a spirit web, feurchemy doesn't get rid of things, it only weakens and strengthens them (apart from copper as is an exception). Storing identity could weaken the connections to the parts of your spirit web, making you less you. Also this thread reminded me of something which is a slight tangent, does each realm have a fundamental substance it is made of. Like the Physical is made of energy which makes matter, the cognitive is made of thoughts which makes memories, and the spiritual is made of connections which makes nodes
  11. My guess is that the red eyed descendants would have been killed or gone into hiding, for a country that thinks eye colour is very important, having red eyes is possibly illegal. Maybe Shallen could have been lightweaving her eyes subconsciously, the lightweaving could take a long time to run out since the eyes natural attract investiture?
  12. I think any one with red eyes would of been though as a voidbringer after the recrence. Thats why there are none left. Do Shallens eyes turn red when she uses her shard blade?
  13. An idea about what the extra breath actually does, maybe 5000 breath's of power can't stably exist as one breath. The power of weekly breath is to stabilise the breath. Similar to in feruchemy, drawing more then the natural power level from a metalmind means that some power is lost, having a breath larger than the natural level causes power to be lost.
  14. I think the reason awakening is end neutral because investiture is not the same as the E=MC2 energy. Investiture can create energy, the proof of this is that an iron ferring can just create infinite energy since tapping will not slow someone down. Investiture is the thing that can't be created or destroyed (probably). Positive systems the power goes shard->spiritweb->shard, neutral is spiritweb->spiritweb, negative is spiritweb->shard. http://www.17thshard.com/forum/topic/17573-similarities-between-worlds/?p=189182 this is good explanation of what colour does.
  15. Odium has been called Gods divine wrath. The original purpose of of Odium (and Ruin) must be to destroy things that must be destroyed, like auto correct.
  16. If Ivory doesn't care about killing I would like to see a scene with Syl, Ivory and Nightblood. One is against killing, another loves it and one doesn't care. Nightblood "lets kill that guy, he looks evil, he might do something" Syl "You can't go around killing people, that is evil, it is right to protect" Ivory "I do not see the point of the conversation, just hurry up and decide kill him or leave him" And about how spren get along, maybe the lines on the radiant eye shows which spren hate each other. Honor spren are connected to cryptics and high spren?.
  17. Their is a summery of WoK prime if you want to see the differences. http://squirenonny.tumblr.com/post/102573424139/the-way-of-kings-prime-primer
  18. Could Lerasium make you able to return though.
  19. I noticed the same thing. http://www.17thshard.com/forum/topic/14498-wor-spoilers-when-did-shallans-bond-start/ My guess is that before her mothers death her childhood was still bad, this will be her 5th truth.
  20. The reasons I think Endowment sees the future is she does send returned back to change the future, and that kind means she needs to know what the future is. If she doesn't know the future then Endowment is just creating random returned and sending them back, which is less likely.
  21. Skybreakers aren't just more about the law, they put it before all else . That seems like a bit of a stupid ideal to have, the law is never perfect. That ideal does make me doubt if the original Skybreakers were good. They do seem a bit... Law before, life before death. The 4th ideal of Dustbringers could be "I will obey what is right"
  22. WoB for the numbers Idea, not solid prove of the number though, And Endowment can see the future and sends returned to change it, that is basically a fact, so Endowment must of chosen the 5 scholars because they would become the 5 scholars. And another link the the number 5 is that SA's table of essences has number 5 as "pulp" (natural materials are awakened) and body focus of "hair".
  23. I think every planet has a number, there might be a WoB but I could be wrong. And the scholars were all returned, Endowment sees the future well so the number was planed. An about the materials theory, lifeless could be awakening flesh, returned is awakening the soul.
