Dellan leaned against the wall of the hall, his arms folded over his chest as he watched the men deal with the remaining chunks of the Mayor. Messy business, that, he thought as he observed the men pull up the last bits into a bag. Ordinarily I would say that he got mauled by a bear or some other animal, but those cuts look too even to be claws or fangs. Axe wounds, maybe? Maybe a trolloc got into town. Dellan pushed himself off the wall and began striding through the crowd that had gathered around the grisly scene. He noticed one of the townsfolk standing off to the side with two men Dellan didn't recognize, speaking with them in a forceful, interrogative tone. Might as well see what they're talking about, Dellan mused to himself as he made his way over to them.

I suspected that they were talking about Szeth holding Jezrien's Honorblade, but I didn't get the Ash connection, nice. I didn't really put it together that they might be Heralds, only that they at the least knew of them. But looking at this analysis has gotten me thinking...

Hmm. I was just wondering if I needed to actually be holding the spike for it to become Hemalurgically charged. I would in this hypothetical situation be shooting six-inch long, 1.5 inch wide at the base spikes. Think those would hold a charge long enough for me to run up, grab it, and slam it into my chest without too much power degradation?

Tineye. I'd flare that stuff until I became a Savant. Plus, near perfect night vision, the ability to sniff out poisons and toxins, and clarity of thought. - I can also just kill a Thug and take their pewter, then I have that awesome combination. Quick question, if I was to take a spike and shoot it through a Thug's heart, then retrieved the spike and spiked myself, would it be Hemalurgically charged or would I have to get up close and personal to have it be Hemalurgically charged? This is all, of course, just hypothetical. Or is it.... *creepy smile*

Mine comes from a name I use a lot, Dellexe, which comes from "Deluxe." - The Kal comes from the Belgariad by David Eddings. It's an Old-Angarak title that means basically "King and God." - It's a bit conceited, but I like it.

I was trying to go for something not wholly out-of-universe, haha. If I could, I would definately take an assault rifle and a load of ammo. - I could download everything onto my phone, and trade that for the Breath. Hoid has displayed some tendencies to be honest/fair with the people he's dealing with, so long as it doesn't interfere with his plans. (For instance, he admits that while he would like to help, but if it got in his way he would watch Roshar burn, instead of promising to help and later giving up on them). I could give him all the knowledge of the 17th Shard (and maybe ebook versions of all the books) in return for enough Breath to do basic Awakening (if I lived through the first through seconds of the encounter with him and Jasnah).
