I can't find it but there is a WoB that confirms that thunderclasts are animated stone. I like to think of them as kind of awakened stone.

Rashek coming up with it is different then it being a word Rashek came up with. You are probably right but if Rashek knew about Skai somehow then maybe he came up with it with Dominion in mind. The Skaa were supposed to be servile/dominated.

She is just now getting out of high school and doesn't really know what to do with her life. Some of her friends are becoming junkies. I really don't know, she doesn't talk much about what's going on with her to me. My mom was trying to get a therapist to see her this past week but the therepist was doing something on that specific day. I wish I knew how to help, but I don't. This is the worst feeling I've ever felt.Edit: I'm typing this as it becomes her 18th birthday. I'm so sad that people so young think that they are in a spot in their lives that this is their only option. Thanks for the kind words, I'm going to try to go to sleep.

My sister tried to commit suicide today. She took 10g of Tylenol, but a friend found her and made her throw up and called paramedics. Words cannot describe the sadness that I feel that she is in a bad enough place to have done this and that me and her don't have enough of a relationship as to where I could have helped her. I really don't know what to do or what I can do. Hopefully things are better tommorow, thanks for a place to get this out.

I agree that Kaladin is becoming less hating towards lighteyes. After seeing that lighteyes aren't all evil and now having some lighteyes friends of his own the ice over his heart in that regaurd is starting to thaw.Edit: sorry bout the double post, wasn't thinking .

I also ship Shalladin, but on a much lesser scale than you. I mean, her and Adolin are obviously more deeply into eachother than Shalladin, but we'll see what happens after what Adolin did in WoR. I think the most likely ship is Shaladolin, but the one in my heart of hearts is Shalladin.

1. Brandon has flat out said that there are many orders of KR that would be completely ok with what he did in regards to Sadeas. 2. Adolin has shown no spite really to anyone except those who have betrayed him or his family, so I doubt that he would grow jealous of his brother. It wouldn't make sense. Wouldn't he also be spiteful of Shallan, but no, he has shown that he doesn't care that she could probably kill him 1 on 1 so why should it be different with a brother he has loved his whole life? 3. Just because other orders and people within those orders have differing viewpoints doesn't mean that someone won't fit into the entire KR, much less be allied with pure hatred itself. Dalinar isn't the epitome of KR, so I don't see how him being contrary to what Adolin did is proof of Adolin being evil, or atleast having the potential to be evil enough to join up with possibly the most evil thing in the cosmere.

I highly doubt that her killing those guys is what set off the ghostbloods. They had already sent Kabsal to attempt an assassination by then so it must be an event prior.

One could be the women Demoux ran off with, Aslydin, which has a Roshar suffix and we know is a world hopper.

Just because someone isn't being influenced by Odium dosent mean that they cannot hate. Look at Dalinar and Kaladin, two extremely honorable people not being influenced (as far as we know) by Honor. I don't know about you but "Irrevocably enraged" doesn't sound like good 'ol anger to me, it sounds like good 'ol hate for Sadeas, especially in conjunction with him killing the man. Also you think that Adolin will become an edgedancer via restoring his blade? "I will remember those who have been forgotten" seems a lot father away from what Adolin is now than hateful, as this theory suggests. Also I have a sneaking suspicion that "Hard but not impossible" means that it prob won't happen, especially because Brandon had to think for a moment when first asked the question. If he had something like that in mind for a main character I feel he wouldn't have difficulty thinking if it could happen or not. I personally believe that ones identity needs to be stolen via Aluminum metal mind for something like reviving a shardblade to be possible without the original Radiant. If you wish to explain to me your Adolin and his shardblade theory then pm me, I find it a lot less reasonable than this theory. I think this theory is very good, but I do not believe that the whole "Honorblade=Voidbinding fabrial" thing. When Taravangian was confronted by Szeth about Kaladin Surgebinding and his regenerating his shard-cut arm Mr.T told Szeth that it must be one of the honorblades that can use the healing surge. I am of the belief that the bottom half (of the double eye chart of Surgebinding) is of Cultivation and the top half is of Honor, more of less, which seems to be popular belief. If so then why would a Voidbinding fabrial, which is supposed to be Odium+Honor have a cultivation based surge. Healing doesn't seem at all hateful to me.

This theory is interesting. We know that the huge Pangea continent was created, seeing as how there was once no large landmass on Roshar so I would doubt that Shinovar was imported. I'm of the mind that it has something to do with Cultivation, however.

On a side note, isn't everything made up of the stuff of shards? I'm pretty sure that preservation had to use more of its power than ruins when creating human with ati, and that's why it was weaker, that seems to indicate that human life is made of shards power/investiture maybe?

Hmmm, I still would be cautious to assume that Shards are large masses of investiture, and by association, Spren. It wouldnt make sense for beings of pure investiture to be formed by human thought, and for them to reside in the cognitive realm even if they are closer to the spiritual. It especially doesn't make sense for being that transend all realms to be restricted access from the physical realm without a nahel bond.

Nowhere has it said that shards were pure investiture, as far as I'm aware. As they exist on all 3 realms, and investiture is of the spiritual, it is more safe to assume that shards are more than just a collection of a unit of one realm.

Wait... Are spren made out of investiture? I haven't seen a WoB on that, so if you have one enlighten me.

I never said that he was going to be a flash back character, if that is what is being implied in this convorsation. I said he was once considered for it by Brandon.

It's has to do with shardpools and shadesmar. Brandon said there is a huge hint in Elantris on how Hoid world hops, and I'm pretty sure it has something to do with devotions pool in the mountains there. Also Rock met Hoid, who he believed a god, coming out of a Shardpool in the Unkalaki mountains. So I highlh doubt it has something to do with storing investiture.

Interesting, my theory is that identity also has a role in how spren look for new people to bond with. Identity metal mind might have some weird things that can happen
