Brandon on his ama recently answered a question that asked if a returned could reclaim breath they had used to awaken something before they had died. Brandon said yes, because the returned would still have enough of the same Identity. Really interesting stuff, I wonder if this is kind of how metal minds can only be tapped if you were the person to store it and it's is kind of "bonded" to you specific identity. I wonder if an aluminum metal mind can somehow be used to steal other metal minds.

Edit: Ignore this, got carried away with the Adolin discussion.

Yea, although people often mistake me for Mexican even though I don't look Mexican at all. Also all of my cousins on that side are mixed and I am probably the second to darkest out of the seven of us, the lightest having the skin tone of a normal white person but he has some African feature. It's pretty wild looking.
-
I am fifteen thirty second, or about 47% African American. One of my great great grandmother on that side of my family was 50/50. Edit: I was born right handed but am slowly becoming ambidextrous for no reason, my left hand is just slowly feeling more like my main hand O.o. Real weird.

That's my point. I doubt that she would ever share that with Adolin, that's just my gut feeling after the interactions with those characters. She revealed her true self to Kaladin because she saw in him what she saw in herself. She still views her real self as the scared girl who hasn't spoken to anyone in months, but she was able to open up to Kaladin which already shows more promise than Adolin. WoR Spoilers: [spoilers]Someone said that they like Shalladolin because she deserves a nice guy. Adolin is not a nice guy. A nice guy doesn't murder someone after losing his temper. In fact I wouldn't be suprised if she saw her father I that.[/spoilers]

It totally works for me. They are very much the only people that understand each other. Adolin can never understand the deep emptiness and pain that Shallan feels and with thus never know the real her. Just the pampered naive light eyed girl.
-
Also the tough girl that is only there to be the token tough girl and is super one dimensional and only exists for the writer to not be sexist.
-
Adolin is definitely a major character. He's had multiple view points all very important to the plot. He was being considered for the back 5 for a while as well which leads me to believe that he will gain radiancy in some way. Also mabey his blade is that of a dustbringer, it would make everyone happy XD

That makes more sense than my theory, that Roshar is either a huge chull greatshell or the carcass of one. Just look at that dragon face.

Dragonsteel Is Available... Sort of.

It's not a secret that you can get it from BYU. Half of it was scrapped for WoK and is considered not canon anymore but some of it might give you some insight into the cosmere. If I were you I would read it, but it's supposed to not be very good. -
Kaladin facing his past, Dalinar learning to control his new powers, answers about the radiants from the Stormfather and urithiru, Shallan and ghost blood shenanigans, Kaladin saving kholinar and being disgusted with the decadence of the queen, Kaladin having to lead the people of kholinar, squires and their new powers, general distraction from the ever storm, Szeth and Nightblood shenanigans, Szeth goes to a destroyed shinovar mabey he has a spren, Dalinar and the Nightwatcher, Dalinar and Gavilar unifying Alethkhar, Eshonai and the escaped listeners possible radiancy, Adolin exiled mabey. And that's how I expect it to go basicly, but knowing Brandon half of it is wrong due to awesome chull twits.

Feel free to post general trope hate as well

Oh my lord yes, I really enjoyed Peter V Brett's work but it's just getting worse and worse because the oversexualization used in the first couple books is just creating drama that he is basing the entire plot around now. I liked the awesome fantasy, I now hate the stupid drama novels.
-
I don't feeli like Eshonai is a real good candidate for the Dustbringers, she seems more like a willshaper or a stoneward to me.
-
That's what I was thinking when he gave me that response. And Brandon has already confirmed Harmonium.
-
A comment on r/BrandonSanderson just hit me right in the feels.... Vasher basicly did everything, including killing his own wife, to stop the creation of living weapons only to find a planet that has thousands of them. Everything he did is more or less in vain... Heartbreaking.

You Know You're a Sanderfan When...
Blightsong replied to Shardbearer's topic in General Brandon Discussion
When most of the stuff in the notes section of your iPad is "Cosmere novel notes" and "Q&A for Brandon Sanderson" When you have spent 90% of your waking moments within the past 48 hours going through theory land and his r/books ama -
The thing that gets on my nerves is when people say that Brandon's books and their description and excess is boring. If only the knew of the cosmere and all the hints and clues that they are saying should be edited out! That and when people call Pat Rothfuss, the founder of a charity organization, a money grubber.
-
I recommend theorylands q and a section. Organizes a ton of WoB neatly into sections. Makes theory crafting and searching for specific info a lot easier.
-
I believe that it is implied somewhere that not all Unkalaki can see spren, so I wouldnt be that surprised if some Herdazians can see spren others can't, but that WoB literally says that the Parshendi blood IS why he can see Syl. I do wonder, however, if the pools do have some change on them.
-
I saw it on theory land not an hour ago but I can't find it either. So for the good it does I support your claim
-
"Both Parshendi and Horneaters are able to see spren ordinary humans can't. Is there a connection between these abilities, or do they come from completely different sources?" To which Brandon answered "Horneaters are human/Parshendi hybrids. (There are several Roshar races that have Parshendi blood in them.)"
-
Horneaters are a mix of Parshendi and humans! That is also why Rock is able to see Syl when others can't.
