  1. I think both of our interpretation are just that. Both WoB are ambiguous. I simply said that I think we shouldn't be completely ruling out possibilities here.
  2. I have WoB that one of the main characters will be a dustbringer. I'm pretty sure this means that the Adolin dustbringer theory is definitely still alive.
  3. I also personally asked Brandon if Roshar was always the only large landmass on Roshar. I was told that it was, but that there was once no large landmass on Roshar at all. What does that mean for its density, and thus, Gravity?
  4. In Words of Radiance, during Lift's interlude something really bugged me. Throught the whole chapter we get a sense that Lift is very attuned with nature and has a good sense for living things over all. Then she thinks this. "But of cource, Darkness want a real person. Of that, though little else, she was sure." This is supported by Windle seeming very convinced that there was something very wrong with Nalan as well. So what do you guys think this could mean. During my first few read throughs I thought it was just Lift dehumanizing Nalan because he is a ruthless murderer. On my most recent one I got a little suspicious. My most recent theory is that he might be WalDo the Kandra, but he might be something we have never seen before. Let me know what you guys think.
  5. For your last point, that letter in SA is addressed to Frost, a confirmed dragon.
  6. Dues Ex Machina's are only that if they have not been alluded too, and don't make sense in context other than an out for the author. It has been pretty solidly said that mixing investitures creates a 3rd affect i.e SA. I also don't think that Brandon would disappoint us with a D.E.M, as he has never done so in the past. Also he is an architect. He will have the ending planned out before he even starts writing. D.E.Ms are usually used by gardeners.
  7. Why would someone dominated by the need to corrupt, or nearly dominated, stop a very corrupted system?
  8. You know when your a sander fan when the number 16 immediately makes you think of a half dozen different cosmere related things.
  9. Hmmm, I wonder if Kelsier would be that powerful of a spren because he held preservation for that short period of time.
  10. I think that we know to little about how Bavadin himself sees his shard to be thinking about this. He could see autonomy as wanting everyone to be autonomous, or he could perceive his shards intent as wanting to bring about autonomy in other by any means necessary. We just don't know yet. I however, think that he sees his shard as the latter, based on the hints provided in SoS.
  11. That only gives context to the question. I think most people know about cognitive shadows i.e stormfather and mistwalker, but what does that have to do with the book itself. Is there a cognitive shadow in the book? Is one influencing characters in the book? Kelsier? I'm asking people if they picked up on anything that could explain the title that is in the book itself.
  12. Every mistborn book so far has had to do with what it was about, less so in AoL, but BoM seems to follow that trend as far as we know, so what SoS have to do with its contents?
  13. WaW takes place after the events of SA. Maybe Odium escapes .
  14. I dotn considerate evil either. Does one consider guns to be evil? I think hemalurgy can be used for evil, but it also has the potential to be used for good, much like a gun.
  15. Him... and Odium. Maybe this is why Hoid dislikes them?
  16. I haven't seen anything mentioning Bavadin's part in killing Aona and Skai, but it would make sense if he dislikes Dominion because of their opposite intents. It also make sense, seeing as how it is unlikely that Odium would be able to 2v1, even if things went horribly wrong for double d.
  17. Nice catch. Especially with WaW being set after SA. This also works with the idea of a Parshendi world-hopper, if Parshendi turn out to be able to make Nahel bonds. As for a reaction to the novel? That was one hell of an emotional roller coaster. Im happy to hear Sazed again. I hate Sazed. I have mixed emotion about Sazed, and the entire cast. Why does Brandon do this to my heart, he's gonna give me a heart attack one day.
  18. The accent was always french, from Tvlakv on. At least after half a dozen listens of the audiobook that is how i remember it O.oEdit: Nvm, i guess Kate changed the accent of the sailors to match how she would talk as Tvlakv and to match Micheal's Thaylen accent.
  19. Alloy of Law and Way of Kings are my favorites. Least favorite is probably mistborn book 3, but that book also has my favorite twist. All of his books are amazing though, i dont think any one of them is any where near bad.
  20. All shards came from the same thing, Adonalsium, so I think it is safe to assume that they all have the same powers. Nothing we have seen has contradicted that conclusion.
  21. Hoperculum he is referencing the Dark One novels he has been talking about. The more cosmere the better.
  22. I played for a couple of years but have stopped recently as I have started getting into super smash bros. I might get back into it sometime, probably when the new season starts.
  23. Any compounder could do it, but a Nicrosil compounder would be able to use all that investiture for anything that would be in their ability to do. Imagine a Nicrosil twinborn awakener with the stolen power of a shard. I'm just saying that cool things could be done with this in the future.
  24. That is a hell of a lot of Nicrosil, but does this mean that a Nicrosil compounder could essentially steal a large chunk of preservation?
  25. This was just brought up on Brandon's subreddit. Could a Nicrosil Twinborn generate unlimited investiture by storing investiture then compounding it? What would be the result, how powerful could someone get? Maybe Brandon will touch on this when we get a protagonist who can atleast use Nicrosil allomantically in modern trilogy mistborn.
