  1. ...Well, chull. Can I be someone else? Anyone else other than Kas? Especially drunk!Kas? >> Uh, sorry about that guys. At least I had the sense to realise I shouldn't have been voting, much less saying anything game-relevant...? So, uh, mods, am I allowed to hide that post? >> (Rule 1 of Sanderson Elimination: do not post when you're drunk, Kas.) I'm never really gonna live this down, am I? >> Also, to clarify that rather garbled message: Wyrm dropped me a message on my mobile, saying that his Internet has gone down. He's currently trying to do all sorts of arcane rituals to save it but it looks like he can't do that. He has some limited solution he's implemented (hence the mobile message) but for now, unless the situation miraculously improves, don't expect to see him being online anytime soon. ...Now, I'm going to go and find myself a Panadol for this headache and try to figure out what I missed, if you'll excuse me. Edit: I have one question, Almighty GM. Why is Bort still among the living on the player list? Is there something we've missed? Edit 2: Second question for the Almighty GMs. Here on Night 6, the vote tally brackets Bort as having voted on Wilson. Why is that the case when it was Kipper who placed the original direct vote and then used his Keeper abilities to vote Claincy? What is this supposed to indicate? I've looked through the votes one more time. As far as I can see, there's only evidence of one surviving, active Keeper: Kipper. (Now, it could very well be the case that there are other Keepers who haven't been using their secret vote, for similar reasons to pre-switch Mek. But I just thought I'd note that now, on Night 3, we know that it was just Karlin's double vote on Wonko, rather than a simultaneous Keeper-and-Prince teamup on Wonko. For that reason, I suspect this may weaken the initial argument that the Cultists were clearly 'gunning for' Wonko. It's less cooperative enemy action and more serendipity.
  2. Hi guys judt got back frm pub n i dont realllly wnan post in thread on anythin srs right nowbut imma postn a poem for my dulabro wyrm Heybhaswyrm ur awesome man bro Be too many layets n stuf Need tea n thought of u for no reasson. c u guys on the othr side of sorberierity.-Kas eidt: sorry cant go yet wyrm jus massaghed my phone sayin his internet isgoign wonky so dont excpet to see him in thread anytime soobn unless it gets fixed.
  3. We haven't been big about role-claiming publicly for reasons, including that we aren't so hot on giving the Cultists targets. However, you have reminded me that I've yet to post my usual list, and you might find it helpful even though I'm not going to deal in heavily suspected roles Confirmed Non-Gyorns 1. Kas [Dula & Convert] 2. Ren [Elantrian] 3. Neo [Veteran Elantrian] 4. Wilson [Queen & Convert] 5. Luckat [Convert] 6. Meta [Priest] 7. Twei [cleared by Meta & Convert] 8. Mek [cleared by Meta] 9. Kipper [Keeper] 10. Alv [Elantrian, cleared by Meta] 11. *Seonid [unlikely because inactive on Cycle 1] 12. *Piff/Em [unlikely; seems to have been replaced after two cycles of inactivity] 13. Wyrm/Aonar [Dula bro!] 14. *Ostrich/Silver [unlikely; replaced after two cycles of inactivity while Gyorn was constantly active.] Gyorn suspect pool: M’Hael, Jain, Clanky, Dow, Araris, Claincy, Karlin, Wonko/Sart Odiv suspect pool: Luckat, Wilson, Kas, Twei/Tehen There we are. That's pretty much the known information at this point in time. Unfortunately, the Gyorn cunningly converted Twei, so we don't have the ability to clear an additional person from the suspect pool at this point in time. Of course, we shouldn't neglect the Cultist side of things. But I'll add my own two cents on that matter later on.
  4. Two questions immediately occur to me. 1. Are you suggesting Karlin has had/received a Seon? Or is this our missing Ien? And if this is so, why did you not come forward when the call was being put out to be able to track the known Seons? 2. I want to put this as carefully as I can, because of what Wyrm did not do to me in LG5 and because of what was done to me in LG4. Alright. You claim to have a Pendant. Why didn't you do anything with it when Wonko was publicly requesting pendant-holders to come forward because of the attack on our (at that time) only known Priest? As I've said, I want to put this carefully because I understand that wanting to hang on to a protective item doesn't ipso facto necessitate that you aren't on Team Arelon. And I deplore methods of organisation in a game that asks one player to save another or face the lynch. I don't think we need to further go into the history of dictatorship within SE games. So, I do not want to imply that there is something gravely wrong about not having done so. At the same time, I do find it inconsistent with the motivations of a player playing for Team Arelon. In Meta's case, he hung on to it as a second Korathi Priest (who also didn't realise it was a safe role ). And yet even so--it seems to me to be rather strange that someone with a Pendant would decide to hang back and to not pass it to the Priest in need--or at least to fade into the background. Perhaps it is my inclinations. Wilson has always been rather annoyed by my tendency to 'take one for the team', particularly because I'm a little overeager to do so. Still, I would appreciate an answer to this. My vote remains. Edit: 3. It occurs to me upon further thought that this synthesises well with Wyrm's comment on reactionary participation. Because this is sort of what strikes me as what is going on, if 1. and 2. are the case. You had information that was being asked for. You sat on it. You had the ability to help when people with Pendants were being requested to come forward and to take one for the team. You preferred not to (and I do not condemn this, even if I would not have made the same choice.) But it does paint a picture of you sitting back the entire game. And that I find somewhat strange. - I'm once again in contact with Elantris today. Nothing to report right now; Ren comments it's too early in the cycle for him to give any impressions. Also, I think he doesn't like the food in there. Sobald er mir etwas sagt, melde ich sofort bei euch. - Also, move along, move along--nothing to see here, official Inquisition business taking place.
  5. Alright, King, I guess you win Please put me down for Gen 2 as Kyril Heron >>. Edited to link to RP posts: House Heron Generation Two: Generation Three: Generation Four: Generation Five: *House Lord for each Generation has been bolded.
  6. Wyrm and I corresponded in a PM (uh yeah, probably explains the obvious hijinks, right?) so I generally share the reasons he's provided [edit: with regard to Jain] as we spent the night discussing suspicions and killing Hreo's and Tulir's inboxes. So instead: Good Ser Wolf, I'd appreciate you saying a little more than just RP. It's awfully hard to get a read on where you currently stand, and even our spanreed in MR4 was considerably more entertaining than this
  7. Hey, Jain. Any insights into Karlin's ongoing silence and measured non-participation? Remembered you were friends from MR4, and on the same team, to boot Hreo's noted, by the way, (for all who might find that information interesting and/or relevant) that if Ostrich does not respond by the end of this cycle, he's slated to be replaced, so I think it's safe to adopt a wait-and-see attitude on that front.
  8. It's a worry about where goodness comes from in relation to God. If we go back to the monotheistic, Judeo-Christian-type god, then that god is all-knowing, all-powerful, and absolutely, perfectly good and benevolent. But then the question becomes: is there an objective standard of goodness that exists independent of God? Well, why would someone deny that there is one? Motivations might include: if God, too, is bound by an objective and external set of morals, then it seems as though God isn't really all-powerful or sovereign. So maybe we might (at first blush) want to evade this by committing to the view that there is no higher set of moral laws that exist above and beyond God and that bind him. But then: If you deny there is such a set of higher and (metaphysically) objective moral laws and suggest goodness must emanate from God (for instance, because God knows and commands what is good), then that's where you run into the worry I think Young Bard is suggesting: Well, what about a universe in which God makes highly trivial commands that we find counterintuitive and not at all good? What about a universe in which God commanded someone to punch the person next to them in the face? Wouldn't that still be good because the Supremely Good being has decreed it? As you can tell, Young Bard's worry makes the implicit assumption that theists subscribe to what we refer to as (the strong version of) the Divine Command Theory, where things are made ethical because God wills it (to put it very crudely.) Obviously, not all theists think of it that way. Of course, evading it presents the theist with some other difficulties. But that's for another discussion entirely
  9. As someone who studies in the joint disciplines of the philosophy and history of science, I have to note that the situation with Galileo was more complicated than that, and really, a lot of people tend to oversimplify it in the popular discourse. (It had to do with a lot of things including the Counter-Reformation, people like Giordano Bruno, the understanding of Aristotelian standards of evidence, and most importantly--lots and lots and lots of capital-P Politics, including doctrines of Papal infallibility. (Papal infallibility works like this: if a Pope speaks in his capacity as the Pope about Church doctrine, he can't be wrong.--I'm drastically oversimplifying it, and I'd appreciate if any Canon lawyers out here might better explain it, because I never really finished Cathechism class >>)) The easy answer to why people change their stance is because ways to read the Bible end up differing. A lot. At least in my Church classes, we were never encouraged to take the Bible literally. You have to put a lot of thought into interpreting it, and you have to realise that some of these interpretations involve your own prejudices or talk about practices that were essentially localised to a very specific socio-cultural context at this period in time rather than being universal. Which is why no one ever really uses Leviticus to conduct their daily lives (let's leave aside the problematic issue of same-sex marriage for now since a lot of people cite it there.) I mean, the most obvious case: people were arguing a lot about what the 'days' in Genesis meant. An era? A thousand years? A day? There were many heated debates about the age of the Earth, and some of them revolve around how to interpret 'days' to fit with what our best science tells us. The case of women's rights is interesting IMO. It's interesting because there is a direct link to Greek philosophy: Aristotle wasn't so big about the rights of women. Plato was. And surprisingly, one of the major (not only) push-backs against women's rights came from the union between Aristotelian thought and Church thought, courtesy of Thomas Aquinas. History is always complicated: there are many links and factors to keep in mind. This is only one of them. We live in a complex world; so did our ancestors, and all these tiny connections add to build a better picture of what was going on back then. I'd like to understand that last question better though. If a stance changes, does that mean it's wrong? Why is it wrong? And rather: why should we stop believing in something if it's wrong? Let me give an example. If we look at the past history of science, we've frankly had a very rubbish track record. Lots and lots and lots of really bad theories have been surfaced and discarded. So, there's a good chance our current theories will be wrong--and they often have been wrong in the past. (See: the emergence of Einsteinian physics as an example of a major paradigm shift.) Well, then, should we give up on science? Why do science? Why believe in scientific theories? (*Note: warning--related to my thesis, supervisor is currently beating me up over this issue Defending science is a painful and thankless task.) It reminds me of an important question I'm struggling to answer too, which is a variation of Euthyphro's Dilemma. Fundamentally, I'm asking myself: what is a good reason to worship God? Why should I do so? God may be the fundamental and ultimate source of goodness, omnipotent, all-powerful. But why should I worship Him? (Atheists, grant me this assumption for now, in order to investigate the issue.) It seems to me to be slightly related to what you're asking: is there any intrinsic value/reason why, despite the fallibility--we subscribe to a religion? Note: Eh, please let me know if anyone is offended I'll tweak this to make it less problematic.
  10. This was actually a real pun my prof made in our philosophy of culture lecture
  11. Hmm. Maybe I should step in here. I don't know who else Wilson might've talked to, but I contacted Wilson on Night 4 (pretty much for the same reasons as you, plus the fact we'd worked together in previous games and were both cleared), which was the point at which she expressed concerns that you might be the Jindo, and worried you were exposing yourself unduly. I assume she chose to confide in me because Meta had scanned me, meaning I cannot be a Cultist, and this was prior to the Gyorn hitting me, which was on Night 5. Considering that to be important information, I immediately contacted Meta on Day 5 and informed him about that possibility and that he needed to get in touch with you ASAP. This was especially urgent when we discovered that Wilson had been converted and was now a standing Odiv risk. Generally, with regard to myself: the Cultists could not have heard about it from me, since I only knew the information on Night 4, I'd have to know who the Cultists are, and I'd sent Kii on to Meta on Night 5 (the night the Gyorn hit me), so I couldn't have communicated the information either. And of course, we know I was in contact with Meta on Day 6. As an ongoing measure since I'm a standing Odiv risk, once I decide who I've contacted, they'll be posting codes/notes in the thread to authenticate that I've contacted them for future contact-tracing, just in case of incidents like this. But generally, if we're tracing the transmission from Wilson to myself, that's talking into a dead comlink. Edit: Such ninja, Cursor. Much ouch.
  12. Boom. There we go Hello, Dula bro! The updated list, for those wondering: Confirmed Non-Gyorns 1. Kas [Dula & Convert] 2. Ren [Elantrian] 3. Neo [Elantrian] 4. Wilson [Queen & Convert] 5. Luckat [Convert] 6. Meta [if carrying out intricate con, would have to be Cultist and therefore not the Gyorn.] 7. Twei [cleared by Meta] 8. Mek [cleared by Meta, outed by Maili] 9. Kipper [Keeper] 10. *Alv [Elantrian, tentatively excluded until confirmation if poisoned.] 11. *Seonid [unlikely; likely Jindo] 12. *Piff/Em [unlikely; seems to have been replaced after two cycles of inactivity] 13. Wyrm/Aonar [Dula bro!] [Once again, * used to reflect those tentative cases, i.e. those we do not have aphodictic certainty for. And no, that's not directed at you, M'Hael--I honestly just like being thorough and noting which cases we're making a major assumption in, e.g. Seonid/Em.] Gyorn suspect pool: M’Hael, Jain, Clanky, Dow, Araris, Claincy, Ostrich, Karlin, Wonko/Sart Odiv suspect pool: Luckat, Wilson, Kas. In addition, I would like to remind all that this is the updated list of known Seons, listed with their initial owners: Active: Ena [Wonko/Sart, unconfirmed] Ien [Winter, Cultist] Kii [Mek, cleared] Nae [Maili, Citizen] Sao [unconfirmed] Lost: Ashe [Phat, Priest] Opa [spencer, Debtor] It would be good to know what happened to Ien, but at this point, I suspect the Cultists are just hanging on to it like the original bad penny since the moment anyone is contacted by Ien, it'll be pretty obvious Again, repeating the request for anyone who knows further Seons to name them. It might or might not be useful in tracking the Gyorn in future. Similarly: Duke/Duchess: the Cultists already know who you are thanks to Bort, so that's not very much protection. If you're not going to help us clear you in thread, at least please discreetly approach Meta by votejacking his vote or something, so someone can cross you off the Gyorn list and make sure you don't really die on us. Three Cultists down. I suspect we have 2-3 remaining, and the Gyorn's still out there. Possibly with an Odiv. Does that make us roughly halfway through?
  13. Joining the technically Catholic but lapsed wagon >> Baptised, passed Confession, but never made it to the sacrament of Confirmation due to issues with moving between parishes and not having proper documentation for Confirmation. I'd say that part of the reason I lapsed was that I questioned a lot of things about my faith--and I don't mean the Catholic faith, but my faith as a Catholic. I guess I'm still questioning. It's a reason I just tick the 'agnostic' box. It's easier that way, even though I guess 'lost' would be a better word. If I were to be brutally honest though, the ritual part of Mass just didn't click with me. I appreciate the Catholic focus on good works over evangelism (at least the parishes here do), and penance. But the rituals--well, to be brutally frank, they bored me. And that's a very ugly thing to admit to myself: that I just didn't have what it took to repeatedly last through a Mass. That I couldn't find God there. I'm sure it says something about me as a person. And I guess I have to own up to it first. Okay. Sorry guys, this got kind of awkwardly confessional. Let's just leave it at my boarding the lapsed Catholic wagon, eh?
  14. Just to clarify--not my request >> I've sent on the list and one or two recommendations, and I hope the cleared Seon-holders should be getting in touch with you guys soon, but I don't know the details and likely won't be involved in this at all (which makes sense, since I'm a standing Odiv risk and shouldn't be privy to such information!) Edit: Talking to Elantris is one thing; this sort of major anti-Gyorn planning, dangerous for me to know too much.
  15. 1. Clanky: I noticed a few Turns ago, you were requesting for someone cleared to get in touch with you with a Seon. Is this still the case? And while this is open: are there any other people who want to get in touch with cleared people with Seons? I don't count anymore since I've been converted (how rude, Gyorn-ssi!), but if we can get a list, it might be possible to arrange something with Meta, or at least to work out the logistics? 2. I also do find this continual going after Ostrich to be rather curious. What about Karlin? Sure, he's posting once in a blue moon, but that's just as much fishy as Ostrich's continued presence. Perhaps even more so, since by posting, he effectively obscures our ability to tell whether he's doing anything else in PMs. By this point, my opinion about Ostrich is that voting for him seems to be rather futile, unless we're reached the point where we just want to kill him--and Odium take the consequences. I also find it curious for another reason though. There are a number of people still flying under the radar. They're not inactive per se, and some have been more helpful than others but: Araris, Luckat, Claincy, Dow, Jain, Clanky, Sart and Em aren't exactly going to win the Olympics for being vocal either. If anything, I'd rather we turn our scrutiny there for now, because we have six cycles of material now, guys. By this point, hitting up the inactives rather than at least attempting some analysis seems cheap. I don't mean that we shouldn't attempt to encourage activity, but I do worry that we shouldn't tunnel onto Ostrich when there are others who are also fading into the background--and that's just as problematic. [And yes, to be fair: Araris and Clanky did come up this cycle, which is good. We just need to not slip back into the Ostrich corner.] 3. I'd like to tentatively add two more names to the list of confirmed non-Gyorns: 12. Seonid** --Here's my reasoning. Seonid was absent for Cycle 1. Yet we know the Gyorn was active on Night 1, having sent in an order. I suggest this might give us reason to tentatively rule out Seonid. 13. Piff/Em** --Similar reasoning. Piff was inactive for two cycles and then got replaced by Emerald. If this was not a request for replacement, like Wonko's/Aonar's (which is why I am being a bit tentative about this line of reasoning), then we once again have a picture of his activity that is incompatible with ongoing Gyorn activity. Hence, the current suspect pool: Gyorn suspect pool: M’Hael, Jain, Clanky, Dow, Araris, Claincy, Ostrich, Karlin, Aonar/Wyrm, Wonko/Sart. 4. In addition, if we look at the current list of converts, you may notice a shift in the Gyorn's moves: Night 1: Zas Night 2: Luckat (saved by Korathi pendant) Night 3: Luckat Night 4: Wilson Night 5: Kas From Night 1-3, the Gyorn has been going after low-activity players or Elantrians. Namely, targets less likely to blab about them to the thread. By Night 3 [recall Wonko contacted Elantris on Day 3 and brought word of Zas, and Zas was Hoed at the end of the Day Turn], the Gyorn converts Luckat, who proceeds to tattle on them to the thread. The big shift in the pattern, IMO, occurs on Night 4: probably because the Gyorn figured that Luckat was just going to tattle on them anyway, the advantage of going after inactives/Elantrians had been lost. They then proceeded to target people cleared by the Priests, probably to prevent us from setting up a trust network, and to effectively roll back (*actually, not quite) the effects of a Priest scan. - 5. An interesting note on Clanky: both Winter and Bort had at least prodded him at one point. Winter put a vote on him citing inactivity, while Bort mentioned he was tempted to vote for him, citing flimsy reasoning in his vote for the M'Hael. He didn't actually do it, though. What to make of it is the interesting question. 6. One comment I've been tempted to make at various points but that becomes especially pertinent now: we really need to disambiguate between two senses of the word 'cleared/clean'. Someone might appear to not be a Cultist (sense A of the word) but may still appear to be a good suspect for the Gyorn (sense B of the word.) I point this out because as the Cultists go down, it becomes increasingly important for us to remember--and to not equivocate between the two senses of the word. Just because someone is clean of being the Gyorn doesn't necessitate they can't be a Cultist and vice versa. Eventually, we're going to have to juggle/micro-manage the two threats at the same time. That seems to me to be the nature of the beast. Edit: Two more comments: first, on my system of denoting the confirmed/likely non-Gyorns: I've used ** to depict those we don't have aphodictic certainty for. I define 'aphodictic certainty' to be anything below Word of GM and/or strong reasoning, such as from ingame rules (e.g. 'a Keeper cannot be the Gyorn'). Second, by this point, Meta has effectively found two Cultists. I think it's fairly safe to say that if this is a bluff, it is a very strange one. I'm going to simply treat Meta's scans as being aphodictically certain unless there are raging objections.
  16. The light through the stained glass of the throne room was bright, fierce, even, and for a few moments, Kaian wondered if that was what it was like to be caught in Holy Jaddeth's gaze. All of it dissolved: the throne room, the gathered crowd, the treacherous Prince, and he felt the cool, worn flagstones against his knees. The world was coming apart around him, coming apart at the seams, threads of golden sunlight unravelling and all of a sudden, he was someplace else entirely. "This is madness," said a man. Kaian could not see his features; his back was to Kaian, and he addressed another man in a strange accent. It was a cool night, Kaian realised, and they wore fine clothes, if strangely cut. Something brushed his cheek--surprised, he glanced up. Flakes of ash were falling from the night sky. "No," replied the other, firmly. This was a man, Kaian thought, who used words like weapons: blunt, honest, but all the same, there was a sharp mind behind that exterior, darting about and searching for meaning, gathering pieces and setting them together. He wore a strange, beaten-down hat on his head. "We've trusted each other this far," he went on. "Penrod speaks truly. I'm certain of it." "He could be lying," retorted the first. His partner was already shaking his head. "No. On a matter such as this?" His hands were shoved into the pockets of his coat; presently, he withdrew them, turning his hat about in his hands. "Nuvidas is skaa. You think Penrod's like to be playin' such a dangerous game?" "You can't deny it's possible." "There's only one way to find out, Erikell. Are you with us?" A sharp exhalation. "Fine," Erikell muttered. "Yes. I'll do it. I'll speak to them." He turned, abruptly. His pale eyes met Kaian's and seemed to look right into him, and Kaian felt that bone-deep certainty of recognition. "I hope you're right, A'lees. I'd hate for you to have led us down a blind alley." His mouth twitched in a sardonic smile. "Best hope I'm as good a Lurcher as you seem to think I am." For some reason, watching the two men--Erikell and A'lees--in their quiet meeting, Kaian had the strangest sense of familiarity: that such things had happened before, were happening again, and would go on happening; as if they were pieces being played on the same game-board over and over again, cast in different forms, yet there was still something achingly familiar about this that resonated with something in him, some deep-buried part that said: yes, we have done this before, and will continue to do so again. "You alright there?" It was a guardsman, who'd hauled him to his feet. "Yes," Kaian managed, shakily. "I think I am." "Best be going if you can't handle it," said the guardsman, nodding in the direction of the bloodied mess the Prince had left in his wake. "He's a goner now. The Queen'll see to it." "Yes," Kaian said, again. "I think--" How did he put words to it? That powerful feeling of deja vu continued to overwhelm him. As he glanced over at the Queen's court for the last time, he saw it again: a ballroom, with incandescent light: laughter, and shadowed faces overlaying the ones he'd grown familiar with over the past days. Where the Queen was, he saw a woman: flung to the floor of the ballroom with a sword thrust through her. Maisao had been dead for days, but now Kaian saw him standing there again, strangely defiant, smirking--except something about him had changed, and he tossed and caught a pouch full of coins. "--I think I'd best leave," he said. He turned and headed for the doors, closing them quietly behind him. As soon as he'd managed some distance from the throne room, he burst into a shaky, headlong run. He'd have to wait until he made it to his room to call his Seon, to see if there was any word from Elantris. Mesist-- He frowned. Didn't know where the name had come from. MenE, he corrected wearily. The Korathi priest--he needed to know what was going on in Kae. He pressed his head to the cool stone of the corridor wall. What was happening to him?
  17. Ok guys. I’m going to have to confess to lying by omission. Yes, I gave my Seon away, but an honourable man returned it. So I have been in contact with Elantris, and I have access to the results of Meta’s latest scan. Once again, delayed for reasons: and in particular, because I didn’t wish to cut off discussion by just dropping the information into the thread. I also hoped that by feigning ignorance about Elantris, I might be able to draw some of his compatriots out into talking and trying to shift the lynch to someone else, in the hopes that Meta’s results could not make their way out of Elantris given the loss of my Seon. Nice show, Bort. But you’re the Cultist Prince. Because I’d like to avoid further unnecessary wrangling, I’m going to boil the situation down to the essential points: Our putative Priest-claimant has claimed to have found another Cultist. In particular, he claims that Bort is a Cultist Prince. Now, there are really two main possibilities here. One: Bort is a Cultist Prince. We lynch him, end of story. In the second possibility, for those of you who worry about an ongoing scam: Meta or myself is lying. (And this is an inclusive-or, so we both could be lying.) If that’s the case, I recommend you lynch Bort today since it makes no sense to lynch either your Priest or his contact. If Bort turns out to be innocent, you lynch me and you lynch Meta, because I’d have been a big dupe and deserve to die (certainly not the first time), and Meta’d be a Cultist liar. As I have said, it makes no sense to lynch your Priest claimant first because if they are right, we get more information by lynching the avowed Cultist first instead. tldr; lynch Bort. (My vote kind of needs to stay on Wyrm for Reasons. Particularly those already explained) If Bort is innocent, lynch me. Then lynch Meta. Or vice versa. I’ll be too dead to care, and I’m fine with it. This is the risk I’ve chosen to take by being the Speaker for Elantris, and by extension, for Meta. Meta knows the risk as well. We’ve taken it freely. In Elantris, on Day Five, Bort claimed to be suspicious of myself, Meta and Wilson. In addition, he also avowed suspicion of Ostrich, Dowanx, and Luckat, but claimed to trust the M’Hael somewhat. I wouldn’t recommend going 100% off this list, and neither does Meta, but it may be useful to compare this to the list Winter drew up. In addition, I’ve discussed this with Meta, and y’all should know that Seonid got hit last night. (Sorry, Seonid. But the Cultists know that, so we might as well just disseminate the information.) Thanks for the save, Jindo. At this point, I’d also be inclined to ask the Duke/Duchess to step forward—after the Day, if you don’t trust us. We need to make some progress on the issue of the Gyorn and who Bort asked you to hit might be helpful in the Cultist search. Furthermore, if we are correct, the Cultists already know who you are. Anonymity thus no longer helps you. (This is the kind of reveal I’m not opposed to: when the enemy already knows the information, so we may as well share it.) Edit for spelling. Edit 2: Also, Meta would like us to get some discussion about the Gyorn and Odiv and their timeframe going. So, discuss guys. Just remember: we will discuss all the things. All of them.
  18. Yeah, well, as I mentioned last Turn, I've given away my Seon, so if another Seon-holder has not contacted Elantris, then we're kind of going to have to go on what we have, without whatever results Meta might've gotten. Sorry about that :/ But it was kind of important I do so. But consequently, I'm really hoping someone contacted Elantris. It's not the end of the world if no one has, since Meta will be out in one more cycle, I believe. And we do have some discussion going on, even if it's rather weak. But it'd be awfully convenient to know for sure.
  19. When it rains, it pours. Just found out tonight that I've been awarded five academic awards for this semester. It's kind of excessive, but I'm ridiculously happy about it.
