You did, Balog whispered, and his shade faded into the drifting smoke. And then you decided you liked power better.

Need to look it up. Might want to ask survivors of MR55 as well but off the top of my head, I played E Archer in MR52 and GMed him in QF54, but he never voted that game.

I'm not sure why this is supposed to make sense. If you are Village and we kill you, we lose a Villager and the information you're trying to protect comes out. We're worse off than in the situation when you do give those details. Given the thread resolve has been to LAFO you, I can't see how your decision matrix makes sense at all except for generating the worst of the worst outcomes.

Would agree with this. Meta changes as people anticipate and it no longer becomes an outside possibility. Plus, the set-up was a bit obvious. Blanket goodness should not be takeaway here.

I'm going to say one thing, and then I'm going to stop and @ the IM ( @Elandera) , because you sound mad, and I'm getting mad at how you're coming across. Your same accusations apply to you. I was getting PMs from older players about how the thread rate was cutting them out of the game. You can say your content was more valuable and more important. I'd probably agree. But you alienated players. I was talking to players who were actively alienated, and felt shut out by the thread rate and the back-and-forth, and also concerned at the temperature of the thread. If you think this matters, I think they should too. I'm not interacting further with you as I don't think this is going to be constructive and I'd prefer not to make Elan put out more fires.

Same tbf. Also considering the devastation Illwei and Quinn worked on the LG74 day thread with older players screaming to me in PMs, I'm just gonna shrug and move on.

You do not want to know the number of times we've had GM PM accidents... Most notably in LG82, which let Illwei and myself hard confirm Szeth and it was so sodding hard trying to unsee what we saw.

Surely you want to get more bang for your buck if you were already doing this. Feels like he's not under threat though. You're the only one voting for him, and Thaid keeps hopping trains. As the resident seven year Village boi, it's not my place to speak of Elim doctrine, but I feel you probably need a good gauge of the heat you're attracting, and Archer wasn't attracting significant flak that actually manifested in votes, so why does E!Archer feel compelled to do a fake scan now, and in this manner? Like - if the biggest benefit was not dying today (on the assumption he was in fact in danger), why not just pick anyone else? Literally anyone else would be a better target and as you correctly point out, standard Seek doctrine is to lynch the target, then the Seeker. If anyone fell back to standard Seek doctrine, the target'd be dead. I'd be dead. And then someone points out the flip deal but it's too late by then, and all E!Archer has to do is to pick a plausible target. Agreed with you that if V!Archer, he'd have to be pulling an Illwei/Meerkat. I'm open to being convinced and I agree with you that there's a lot of question marks surrounding Archer's role - it's just that the nature of the fake scan doesn't seem to make sense to me for E!Archer. It's weird timing and weird victimology, made worse by the fact he sharply undercuts himself shortly after posting and implying he was keeping an open mind about Thaid by suddenly saying he scanned Thaid as non-Village.
