Ah my friend, have you not met Babaji and Vahirakan? They're our spambots, we have a thread devoted to jokes about them. When I'm not too lazy I go to the spams member page and report the member as a spambot. The mods will get to it soon enough.

Well hello everyone

I would strongly suggest going for subs, the dubs are seriously grating to me( and I normally prefer dubs no matter what). It's kind of a strange mix between 70's(?) culture, mecha and shojo anime. The pacing, it's bad, I can't really say anything else. It is interesting and does discuss philosophy(in the 2nd half anyway) but it isn't balanced by very awesome action. There's too much talking during the fighting, and not enough meaningful action behind the talking if that makes sense. It's really pretty difficult to accurately describe it though, best just to try it and decide for yourself.

Hey I know that game, it was in "Ready Player One"! Anyway, I have slept less than 8 hours combined in the past two nights. I go to bed around 9 ish and wake up at midnight and just try and fall back asleep until morning. I think my body is telling me that it's time to become batman.

My soul and brain were sucked into the NC when you reconstructed it and no one's figured out how to get me out.

When you've done the above many a'time -
I'd agree with that. I watched it weekly when it was new, but I wouldn't do it that way again for sure. Finally got around to starting Cowboy Bebop, I understand now why everyone who knows I love Trigun has been recommending it to me, totally fits into what I love. Still working on Eureka 7. Can't decide if I like or hate the show.

Just realized I can say this I AM THE NEWCAGO COURT!

Him killing Zod really didn't bother me at first, but seems like we're heading down the Regime storyline instead of Home-timeline. Superman isn't going to have the character to not kill Doomsday or Lex as far as I can tell. Superman is supposed to be the White Knight, they're kind of scairing me by starting him off this way. (Note, I've not read any comic books but I watched the old justice league animated shows and stuff like that)

You were involved in an attempted kidnapping of our empress (closest emoji to my expression)

Perhaps Speed is, as I think someone said, is like an armchair. The armchair sees itself as being all one thing, it's not a bunch of sticks of wood and cloth, it's "I am a chair". So when you store speed, your storing the Cognitive Speed, which is the sum of all the parts of speed-energy, perception time and reaction time, bodily metabolization, etc. In effect, I think that it is like a mini speed buble, but in "reality" haha, it is different. I actually wouldn't be surprised if that's how most of Feruchemy worked. If any of that was coherent, that's pretty cool EDIT: sigh......

The Dragonbone books by Tad Williams are fantastic! First book is very clean if I'm remembering right, The next two are probably on the same level, but not the same content, as Mistborn so I don't think you'll have a problem. I would stay away from the Rothfuss books, yes they are amazing, but almost a third of the second book is really loaded and I very nearly quit instead of skip reading. The Imager books by Modesitt, these are very good and philosphical, I'd say same content level as The Way of Kings or Mistborn. The Shannara books by Terry Brooks? What I've read was squeeky clean like LotR, but the pacing was so bad I could only trudge through the first two books. The Wheel of Time? ummmm, yeah I don't know, you should probably stay away I guess. The Ranger's Apprentice. Fantastic YA series, clean, funny, lots of good fun. Fantasy without magic, kinda weird but yeah. Terry Pratchet is clean I think, I've only finished one book though, someone else know better? That's all I can think of at the moment.

I'm no help on this one as well....

Just finished Joust by Mercedes Lackey last night. Considering it was basically a dragons and sorcercy, it was really fun and I enjoyed it. Currently reading The Five People you Meet in Heaven by Mitch Albom.

Granted. As your bane you must watch the worst anime tv series in existence. I wish to have Peter Wiggin as an older brother. -

What are you playing right now?
Left replied to Link Von Kelsier Harvey's topic in Entertainment Discussion
Anyone play Unfair Mario? It's a similar ish kinda game. I beat the game after 600? deaths. It's brutal and frustrating but very fun and addicting, look it up. -
LeftVash opened his eyes. Or....he did something like that. There were so many images flooding into his brain that he almost passed out again. Struggling to if not control the input, at least manage it, the Baron tried to close his eyes again. They didn't really close though, because Lefty didn't have eyelids anymore. In fact, he didn't have a body. Actually he did. It was the New Newcago. It took a while for Lefty to begin to understand what had happened. Once he saw people walking around inside of his ice crystal body it started to dawn on him. The Empress had needed to use huge amounts of power to rebuild Newcago, and after all the ordeals she'd been through and the twisting going on and Lefty's own ghosty predicament, he must have been sucked in almost as investure. The Scholar doubted that Empress Elsa had regained the control needed to hold the building together, it was almost lucky he had been sucked in, his cognitive identity was probably the main thing gluing the structure together. "Now what to do?...."
