    Sell, I'm expecting it in book four, maybe 5. Nale stole Tien's corpse brought it back to life and brainwashed him, so hopefully there will be a cool fight between Tien and Szeth.

    Thanks! The story didn't feel done yet so I'm glad it isn't. I would really much rather have book 7 before the next Formic war trilogy. Now I'm working through the Octagonal Raven, another Modesitt sci-fi. I tried to read book two of the Recluse series, but the style and skipping back in time was too much for me, I had to stop. I'm kind of sad though, because Recluse is what he's most well known for and at least starting out, they're weak- or at least very difficult books to like- and when compared to some of his other work it doesn't give a good picture of his books.

    I finished the Crystal City. It was good, much faster pace, but the ending.....Is there supposed to be another book eventually? It was so anti-climatic, I just have a hard time believing the story is done. Most of the ends were kind of tied up, but just barely, and not really in a way that makes sense...

    Greetings fellow scholars, quite nice to have some friendly scientists around instead of just the DA and whatever magical science I merge together from ten different universes. I must admit got a little lost in your introduction post, what exactly is the "intent" of the guild? RP and theorizing at the same time? I'd love to run some mist based hemalurgical machines past you.

    The Wafflesworn of old were much more subtle than hemalurgy, they used far deeper and more mystic methods to achieve their ends. Are there any left though?

    Finished Heartfire, I'll get a better review up this afternoon, but I enjoyed it a lot more than the past two(?) books. The over all plot of the series didn't move very far, which was disappointing, but a lot more of the alternate history became clearer so that was pretty cool. There wasn't really a single thing mindblowing or shocking in the book, in fact it was rather a slow book composed of long discussions and basically no action, but it managed to keep me engaged so I didn't mind too much although I did catch myself several times thinking "Oh gosh, not Another philophization!". It didn't disturb me nearly as much as some of the books have, I think book three was the worst, which was nice. I have a much lower tolerance than a lot of people and wouldn't ever be able to do a game of thrones for instance. So the book was good, could have used some trimming on the talking and more butt-kicking and maybe some Indians I think. Will definitely be reading the next book soon.

    If you wish there's always the gunsmoke barony. It's a subset of the Newcago Court, with all the rights and privileges, but themed on Trigun Star Wars and Dune and any other science fiction you would like to bring in.

    As I've managed to fool myself into becoming active again I am resuming the management of the Gunsmoke barony and increasing doughnut production and building a Force user complex next to the fortress.

    LotR was a fantastic adaption. Given, it did have to leave stuff out, but then I really didn't enjoy bombadill really. I remember enjoying the Inkheart movie much more than the book. The Never Ending story is an aaaaaaaamaaaaaaaazing book, and the first movie is a pretty good adaption of the first half really but I'm not going to even mention the movie's sequels.... I liked the Ender's Game film, sure it wasn't the book, but it made a good try at it.
